This location was an extra 15 minutes of travel time for me, both ways, so I don't like UHAUL policy of telling you the day before where your equipment is REALLY going to be (as opposed to where you actually booked it). The equipment being in the wrong place is just not supposed to be my problem. That's YOUR problem to solve. Also, it did not occur to me to check the status of the THREE 12v outlets in the cab of the truck, but once we were well down the road, we discovered they were non-operational (I suspect a blown fuse)....but it was too much of an inconvenience to try to return/replace the truck at the point. It was already loaded. I double checked the equipment i was plugging in. It works. The outlets were bad. You REALLY have to check all these little things. You have people standing around doing NOTHING at the pickup location. They could have been doing the work of making sure the vehicle was REALLY ready for me.
Larry MI was overcharged for a gallon of gas. The contract says $4.75 per gallon. We were charged $6.65 for 1 gallon. I had already purchased 3 gallons and have pics to prove it was where it started.

Brittany SAccording to our reservation, the unit was suppose to be available on Sunday at 8 am. When we went to pick up the unit, the facility was open until 9 am. We brought the unit back at 4:50 and the person working in the office indicated that the office was closed. The office on the webside indicated that the office closes at 5 pm. Not a good experience!

Kenan KWithin 25 miles the left wheel bearing failed and we had to drop it off at Woburn U-Haul when we picked up the trailer moving U-Haul the tires on this trailer were practically bald but they said take it anyway it'll be okay so we did and luckily that trailer was fine but the overall experience was very bad

Navjit SDuring the pickup process, the UHaul employee was locked out of his system and we were told to finish the check-in process via my phone. This was a miserable experience. The employees at this location are helpful and knowledgeable, but somehow they're prevented from helping me and instead I had to rely on an inconsistent, confusing mobile website. PLEASE just let your employees do their jobs!

The only smaller unit had the old owners lock on it so the young man who assisted us said I could take the slightly bigger unit at the smaller init’s price. I believe that was never done. With the increased cost since July, I had to make other arrangements.

Second, the truck did not seem well maintained (comparing to a previous UHaul truck rental experience at a different location). Examples: Brakes and/or downshifting transmission did not sound right. The wheel alignment was off; I was holding the steering wheel left to go in a straight line. The steering wheel could not be adjusted. The passenger side door could not be locked with the key. Overall, the staff here is helpful, and I had good experience with storage unit, so this was probably an isolated incident.

Carleen WOverall people, equipment, location and parking were great. An area for improvement is the signage at the street vs GPS mapping for entrance from the street and a little better signage to customer entrance. But none of this was problematic- it is just something that could be done better.
Peter BI tried using the app. It didn't work. So I went into the store, had to wait about 15 minutes and then swipe my card despite it being provided on the reservation. The truck was disgraceful. Not clean, not performing properly, defaulting to tow mode which was throttling the engine. There is a bumper right above the ramp preventing proper loading and then top it all off, there was a significant leak in the back causing water to get on my property. I've had so many poor experiences with uhaul but without competition I've gone back after each one however this was right up there with my worst ever experiences.. Hopefully I won't ever have to go back.

Then U-Haul was very aggressive about calling & sending mail to every address on file. I got passed between corporate and the local site because no one could update my profile or see an audit trail to see what happened to my account. This happened again at the end of my contract - I cancelled, got confirmation from the manager that things were complete, only to be charged again the next month. When they charged me they also called and mailed my secondary person on file. Storage facility was good. Website not good. Checkout/closing experience (after multiple years using this storage) was very bad.

The U-Haul website states that storage hours are until 10 pm and that I should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to closing on my first visit, but when I arrived at 6:45 hoping to store a mattress I was told that the units close at 6:55 and I would not have enough time to enter my unit, forcing me to return with my mattress. Additionally, shortly after beginning my free trial I was sent a bill for the first month's rent. I had to call to resolve this. I was then charged $3.65 without being told what the charge was for. Finally, I had a lock on my unit that I did not know U-Haul considered insecure. A new lock was placed on my unit without notifying me, causing me an embarrassing delay when I next tried to access my unit with one of my clients. Again, I appreciate the free trial (and lock), but I feel some improvements must be made, beginning with updating the website to reflect this site's accurate storage access hours.

Staff came back and assigned another rental unit, which was also locked, but he actually came without me needing to back to the office to remove the lock. There was a rat poison container in the unit which I gently pushed with my foot into the hallway. I did ask about a lock and the person helping me said there would be one for me in the unit, but there was not anything there. I will come back today with some additional storage materials and I guess will purchase a lock at the front desk. This rental is currently in my name, but I will try to switch it to our company name and address online. The person helping me was not exactly friendly, but this could be a cultural issue.

These are unusual times and we should not take the Mass COVID numbers for granted and ease up. I wear a mask for the greater good and so I do not pass on CV to others if I accidentally have it. I urge you to take notice of this and train your staff.
