While the facility was clean and well secured, the staff was not particularly friendly and seemed put out to be helpful. Tried using the restroom in the building my unit was in and it was out of hand soap and nearly out of toilet paper. It started pouring down rain as soon as I finished emptying my storage unit and when I got out of my truck to go check out and close my account, the automatic sliding door to the office was locked and therefore I got soaked. I had to get back in my truck before an employee could be bothered to unlock the door and then looked upset she had to get up from wherever she was to unlock it. Was just a frustrating experience overall.

I have probably used this location for about at least the last 25 years of my life and I suddenly they don't have the equipment that I'm looking for did not bother to try to call and see if someone else had it basically told me that I could Google it I drove to another location and then had to end up coming back and settling for something that I wasn't looking for and there was an African-American lady there with braids in her hair and she was very helpful upon my return the other guy was rude and this was definitely my last visit I seen additional charges added to my receipt I picked up a matress and went around the corner put as back where it was but its fine I'm never coming back

Ask the employees behind the counter to be more attentive. There were 2 employees when I arrived - one was helping another customer, the other was on their phone. I had to wait until the 1st employee referred me to the 2nd. Perhaps the 2nd employee didn't know another customer had entered?

The truck was is disrepair. It was very hard to put into the correct gear and the steering wheel showed evidence that the truck was either severely out of alignment or damaged in some way. Driving straight had the steering wheel at 10 o'clock rather than 12 o'clock (if treating the wheel as if it were a clock). Very challenging to drive and showed a lack of maintenance of the vehicle. Thabk God I only drove 15 miles total.

I am upset because my bank debit card was charged $18 for fuel and it should not have been charged. The gas meter gauge was at the 1/8 point that is the third line before Full before I left. I placed $10 worth of gas back in the u-haul truck before I returned it and that bought the gas meter gauge back to 1/8 point. My debit card should have never been charged. I am asking for $18.00 refund back onto my card.

People at front desk were extremely rude. Younger kid at that desk hung up on me over the phone,he also had a hood covering his whole face and you could only see his eyea.I was asking if a particularly trailer was in stock and never got a answer from the female or young guy. When I did get to the store a older gentlemen was the one to help me and he was helpful and nice.

Unlimited mileage. Or just state the price of rental per 24 hour period. It’s too much of an inconvenience to worry about keeping track of mileage. When multiple trips may need to be made. Just increase the rate of rental.

Poor customer service by employees at this location. They do not even recognize your presence, welcome tou are ask how they may help. Some are too lazy to even get out of their seat and grab your receipt from the printer.
I rented a dolly and when i arrived, it wasn't in the truck. I had to go back and ask for it, and even then all they did was open a cage outside and ask me to grab one and put it in the truck myself.
The truck i got was poorly maintained, the roll door had rusty hinges that made it so hard to open and close and the dashboard lights did not work.

The staff is an absolute disaster. They barely acknowledged my existence and once they did, they continued to have side conversations amongst themselves during my check in, complete with swearing and derogatory remarks. The truck was ok but clearly is having some kind of mechanical issues (possibly transmission) as it was whining and having difficulty shifting gears. On my way back the engine light came on so when I went to return the truck I planned to alert them to this but when I showed up they were very short with me as if my presence alone was an inconvenience, so I simply handed them my keys and left.

THE TRUCK WAS FINE. THE FIRST THING WE DID WAS TOOK A PICTURE OF THE GAS GAUGE.
WHEN WE RETURNED, WE PARKED THE TRUCK IN FRONT IN A PARKING SPOT. NOT NOTICING THAT IT NEEDED TO BE PARKED ON THE SIDE OF THE BUILDING, CAME IN I WAS TOLD "WHY DID YOU NOT PARK IT ON THE SIDE OF THE BUILDING". WE APOLOGIZED. Because of the female worker with pink hair was very rude & unprofessional. She got sarcastic with me & my husband. We asked to speak with a manager & she quoted “I’m the manager but her employee I.D said “Owner! Upon arriving to the facility she was in the back garage area very loud & professional on a personal cell phone. After the fact that we were already processed through with my Electronic Arizona Drivers License by another employee she stated “ No, he wasn’t allowed to do so while the whole time being rude & condescending! I’ve been repetitive customer using my Electronic I.D! I left after the unprofessional confrontation to get my helpers to clear out my storage because I was closing it out. Upon returning to the U-Haul location Main St. & Barnett Columbus, OH my storage was double locked out! I just paid in full to close out any remaining balances! But yet 30 minutes later after the I have a “lock-out lock” on my unit!
Ms Pink hair lacks compassion & professionalism to be empathetic towards U-Haul customers. The act of moving is already a stressful event! I will not be doing business at that particular locale again!

I have nothing but good things to say about Uhaul on Main Street in Whitehall Ohio. Everyone I encountered from the beginning of my rental to my move out was, courteous teous, professional and helpful. Especially the gentleman that was on duty when I ended my storage rental on 4/28/2023 p.m.. He was on running the place all by himself !
I witnessed him get absolutely slammed with people and more people bringing trucks back. ( at the same time) As well as dealing with customers for other reasons. I saw several trucks getting returned almost within minutes of each other People coming to rent or storage issues as well as my moving out. It was non-stop. His professionalism was nothing but above and beyond. No attitude, no frowning. He kept a smile he was so over whelmed like anyone would be but he was accommodating everyone with grace and respect. His name was Lee Canlock Jr. ( i hope i spelled it correctly) Thank you Lee for all of your assistance.

These people rented out a unit that was already unit took $166 of my money and have not given it back yet.I will get my money. Plus the employees there are there don't do their work especially your older man that's red looking sitting it sure had a nerve to say something to my daughter and I told him don't say anything to her I really don't ever recommend going here to anyone else as long as the staff that works including the general manager still employed here, terrible terrible terrible experience after dealing with these people for more than 10 years and this is not the same staff that's been here all African-American brothers and I would have thought being a sister or of color I could at least have got to help that I came for professionally but very unprofessional people.

Based on the fact that I only used 3 weeks of a month free storage, my opinion might be a little jaded, but the facility was clean and easily accessible. Staff was friendly and it was a breeze to check out when I was done with the unit.

Was there couple months ago all was well, came in for a funeral, checked unit Whitehall Ohio must have got a lot of water/rain since I was last in state or there was leaks seen no visible water but 90% of stuff was coated in mildew, so had to throw most away or would have still been there;(

nice facility, associates were very nice and helpful, it was just too expensive. we found another facility for a fraction of the cost, just as clean and well maintained. However, the new facility lacks the 24 hour access that Uhaul offers.

I called the U-haul 800 number to reserve a unit at a facility that had a 1st floor unit available. I had to go to a location further away but was assured by the representative that a 1st floor unit had been reserved for me at this location. When i showed up at the facility I was told that I was being given a 2nd floor unit. I explained that I had spoken with a rep through the Uhaul 800 number and had been assured I was reserving a 1st floor unit. The owner basically told me I was out of luck and she had no 1st floor units available. I was utilizing a 1 month free offer based on a 1 way truck rental so i believe this lady (I did not get her name but her shirt said "owner") didn't want to give me a 1st floor unit since i was only using it for a month. On top of that, she was rude. I have 3 kids in college at Ohio State and have been, will be for the next several years, will need to rent trucks and storage facilities in Columbus to move them in and out of apartments and store their furniture in the summer months. Last year we used Casino storage on Broad Street. I will be going back to Casino in the future.

I hope my stuff is going to be ok as the roof looks like it has been patched several times and leaks.. I called and let them know I would be there 3 mins before the inside closed the lady said ok.. I get the when I said the doors where locked she refused to help me and told me to do it online which she could have told me on the phone instead of me standing in the parking lot trying to figure it out.. if I hadn’t been in an emergency situation and needed something at that moment I would have went to another company.

In the beginning I had a good experience with the uhaul staff. I caught Corona virus back in late March. I was so sick I had forgotten to pay the storage fee for April. I was feeling better and able to talk so I called to let the staff know what was going on around mid April and I paid the same day. Also this is my first missed payment. I haven't been to the storage unit since I've put my Things in there. I paid for the month of May on time. On May 29th I come to retrieve my things from storage, because I didn't need the unit anymore and my key doesn't Fit The Lock. I tell the staff no one knows why and says they can't help me.
I had to pay $100 for a lock Smith to remove the lock. Im not stupid I know One of uhaul staff members changed my lock because of my late payment in April and they never changed my lock back. The Manager said he doesn't have any notes or keys for my unit. I know They didn't have any more red tags so they used a different lock to keep me out. There's no way my key shouldn't have worked. I understand being locked out for non payment but when I paid, it should've been fixed or uhaul staff should've took the lock off instead of me having to pay a lock Smith for a problem I didn't create. The manager wasn't helpful at all.

It was a very busy day and there was a wait time, even though I reserved ahead. But everyone was helpful and pleasant regardless. The original unit was too small, and staff was very accommodating with changing to a different unit. In addition, we did not lock the unit properly and the company notified me to assure my items are safe. Highly recommend.

The staff was disrespectful the day we went to remove all of our belongings and close out our month. We ran in to an issue with them not having a utility dolly for us to use but we had been charged for one, and did not try to help us in any way to find a solution. All they did was laugh in our face and told us to figure it out. I was really disappointed and upset that I reached out to uhaul customer service while in store and they worked to help us find a dolly nearby at another location and we were able to complete our move out. Horrible experience for us. The overall move out we were able to complete but the staff that was there initially when we arrived was a 0 for sure.

The lady who rented me the locker was very friendly and explained everything in a professional way. Glad I had her as an associate.
My only complaint is the access hours. The outside units are till 10pm. Wish they could be till midnight. Also everything I opened the door the alarm would go off. I hope I’m not setting it off. I use the key card to sign in and out.
