There was no instructions for vehicle usage The card would not open the door when I tried it to place things into storage Had to use side door which was very tight Upon reservations one clerk stated two storage units were free as long as I am renting the truck and it was a promotion When I realized I needed a second storage that clerk said it was not free for the second storage Miscommunications, misinformation, Confusion to the customer and no one to clarify as they both stated this is what they had heard. So both technically felt they were correct As a customer we rely on the company to treat us fairly and honor the original information so that we continue to come back and use said company I’m not saying I will never use the company again but I will select a different location And I feel I should be reimbursed for the secondary storage unit for the inconvenience

The key was not in the compartment box therefore I never had the vehicle. I am supposed to get a $50 Reservation guarantee due to the inconvenience. In other words I never had the uhaul.

I had a horrible experience. They were trying to charge me for 139 miles when I only drove 6 miles. I would NEVER do business with Uhaul ever again because this location is poorly run due to the truck mileage not being properly updated. Very unprofessional for such a well known company globally to not stay on top of something as simple as making sure mileage is updated and correct on everything transaction. I was blown away by the lack of unprofessionalism especially from a location surrounded by luxury homes and apartments. I truly expected more and in my opinion the manager isn't properly managing this location and it shows in just the little things. There's no way 139 miles should ever be calculated instead of the actual 6 I used, this place is poorly run.

I called at 6:30pm on a Saturday to make sure we would have time to drop off our trailer before they closed at 7. We pulled up and were not greeted at the office, but instead a guy was walking out the back and yelled at us to just meet him outside by the drop off location. After still not saying a word to us, the guy took the trailer off our truck and proceeded to help the next customer that parked behind us with their uhaul van. I walked over to him and asked if there was anything else he needed from us, and he said no. Two days later I get a call and a text saying I that my rental was not returned, and that it was due that day. I had to call and explain when I dropped it off, who I spoke to, etc. but it didn’t seem like they believed me. An hour later, I received an email with my receipt and I was charged a $20 1 day late return fee... so I had to call them yet again. I was told they would refund me the $20 but I’ll have to wait to see if that actually happens. This is my first time renting from uhaul. Definitely not a good experience. I hope all locations are not like this.

First I advised rep I wanted to pick up truck at 7am. She was very dismissive saying “no that ain’t gonna happen, cause we are still moving trucks at that time” well maybe this location should prepare better? I arrived at her recommended time of 7:45 shaving 45 minutes off my desired time. The young lady And young man who helped process my contract and pick up the truck were the only silver liningS in this process, as both helpful and kind. The complications then picked up again, as I waited outside for 15 minutes for the truck to be driven around. The young man stated the truck they originally processed was boxed in and he brought another truck instead and they would update the contract inside quickly. This “quickly turned in to 25 more minutes as I waited, until he came back around and said “are you still waiting on the updated contract?” And could see why I would be frustrated, and he ran inside to move it along. I finally got out of there an hour and 15 minutes from my initial “recommended time” which is asinine. Further more, when I called due to the delays caused by this team to inform I would be arriving around 6:45-7:05, I wanted to ensure I would not be charged for another day, the guy on the phone said I’d be charged any minute after 7 which I found preposterous due to their incompetence. I arrived at 6:50pm and the guy said at the door, “can’t do it, our systems are down” which is the biggest lie in the book, maybe if this location had any work ethic they would keep one system running and then close when they should. When I finally processed the return via phone app with my phone almost dead, and dropped the key in the key box, four workers there were smiling and laughing like hyenas looking directly at me. This is unprofessional and I’ll never come to this location or another uhaul again for my moving needs ever again I can assure you. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had with this company, and when I worked for you as a teen, I busted my tail unlike many of these clowns working there now. I better not get charged for another day or I will raise hell I can assure you.

I brought the U-Haul back at the correct time the correct place was checked in by an attendant. 2 Days Later I was accused of not bringing the U-Haul back and was toad that if I didn't bring the U-Haul back I would be charged with theft not a good experience and that person's name was Walter at the U-Haul storage and Rental near Westheimer Houston Texas

They installed a hitch and ball so I could tow with a suburban. They didn’t install the safety pin and I almost had an accident on the highway when my towed vehicle and dolly became detached at 60 miles per hour. I’m glad to be alive and quite angry about the incident.

I rented the truck and a dolly thinking I would use it , but ended up getting 3 movers they didn’t use, on my way to return the truck I bought gas worth more than I was giving way more according to the guy who received the truck upon return, and told him about the dolly he said his manager should be able to fix it, only for me to speak to him politely about not using the dolly and he responded rudely that it doesn’t matter I felt bad because I knew he could fix it.... did I mention that when I rented this truck on Saturday the lady Ortega if I’m correct with the spelling forgot to put the dolly in the truck and she told me to come back she would minus the mileage for me, they didn’t do that open return.

I made an online reservation for a 10' truck. But two days before picking up, I was told there was no such a truck in the location near my and I had to pick it up in a different location. What she did not told me was that she also changed my reservation to a 15' truck, which caused a lot of problems for me. I was given a 15' truck at first. Because it was too big for me to drive safely, I returned the 15' truck, rented a 10' truck, after I spent a few hours and ran among three different U-Haul offices. Even though I already finished my trip, an invoice for a 15' truck is still with my online account, indicating my possession of the true. I called a few days ago but nothing happens. Can you help me?

The check-in process was a bit delayed as I was not aware that I needed two confirmed emergency contacts before I could rent the vehicle. I would have preferred being made aware of this requirement ahead of time (in order to save time when we arrived to pick up the vehicle).

The staff was courteous but the trailer I rented was defective. We had a hard time getting the jack to retract but finally did. I took the trailer off of my hitch at my house I was unable to get the jack to retract when I tried to reattach it to return it. Had to have hauled off by a wrecker.

I initially reserved a 5x8 trailer at one location. I got there and was told there would not be one available. The clerk sent me to another U-haul location. The trailer that was hooked up, fell off of my vehicle as I was leaving the parking lot. When I arrived at my destination, I called the 800 number to get a location for drop-off and was told it would be open. They were not. Tried to check in the trailer using the link provided to me--not doable. Horrible experience all the way.

I went in early that morning to set everything up so that when I came back in the afternoon for the pickup things would be fast and simple. Pick up took almost an hour b/c of their slow computers . . . even had to move to a different computer at one point and it wasn’t much better. Other than that, everything else was GREAT!! The entire experience here was awful. For the 1st of the month, it was understaffed. My online truck reservation still led to a 2 hour wait even after mobile verification. Hate this place.

It takes forever to get anything done. Only two people working at one time in our experience. If it takes 10 minutes per customer to rent something, have another line for those buying supplies only.

The manager Alexa was very rude and lacking customer service skills. She placed me on speaker and laughed at me with her other staff members. Some of the other staff did warn me of her unhelpfulness.
