I was looking for a pick up truck.I was told to return the item same day before 7 PM because it is reserved for next day.I did not get it for 12hours.When I returned the truck I asked discount in rent, the person was not friendly.My wife forgot her water bottle in the truck.She called there.He put her in hold.When we went there, her phone was in hold,the person closed the store and went out.Why didn’t he answer her the store is closed and come tomorrow.Why didn’t he notify us we got water bottle from truck and you can collect tomorrow.Fortunately we went and met him in outside so we got the water bottle.The people doing the customer service must be friendly.So you should have to give them training.Thank You.Jacob Uthup.

J PThe U-Haul reservation was extremely messed up badly!! We resaved the truck drop offf and storage facilities at the 345 East University McKinney location but when we arrived from driving over 430 miles; we were informed they don’t have any storages after we already reserved it when we reserved the 26ft truck. The staff extremely unconcerned!! So I contacted the 800 number, they sent us to the West McKinney location which is Totally out the way!! It took 1.5 hours to reserved to another location, which that time went over into the movers time which we also reserved thru U-Haul. But we end up paying the overtime for the movers due to U-Haul messed up our reservation.and we didn’t get all our things moved into the storage unit. This was the WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! We have always used Penske and had the best experience. The reason we took a chance on U-Haul is because you offered storage unit!! We contacted UHaul and explained all our concerns, they informed us a manager will be contacting us for everything regarding these issues & concerns: reservation, different drop off, storage unit, time over with the movers, mileage, gas and the inconvenience all around. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! No manager or anyone has contacted us at all!! This is Extremely Awful to treat your customers like this especially when we are spending over thousands of dollars with your company!!! We will be contacting the Corporate Office regarding all our concerns and issues. This is absurd!!!

GRACIELA SMy reservation was to pick up a 10’ truck in Allen, but no truck was available at the time. The U-Haul rep finally found another truck but it 30 minutes away, costing me extra mileage and delaying my efforts by approximately 90 minutes. I request a partial refund.

Luis CI didn't want to knock the West University location because they are some of the best people anywhere, always very pleasant and eager to help, and I have been renting U-Haul trailers for several years. But I did want to comment regarding the 4 x 8 trailer, #1675, that I got yesterday. It is the old style which is fine, but the rear latch was very difficult to close. The bottom part is slightly bent and hard to get into the slot. Recommend that U-Haul look at this trailer and consider changeing out the latching mechanism. Thanks

Ethel R | Overall ExperienceI rented a truck a tow dolly to tow a car from Mckinney to Keller. I used this location because I was assured that someone there would make sure that the vehicle would be secured and I didn't have to worry about doing it wrong myself. It was raining really hard that day and when we finally got to our location my brother was so astonished that we got there safely. The strap on the right passenger wheel was completely off. The only thing keeping the vehicle on the tow dolly was that the kid that strapped my car also chain the axle to the tow dolly. The front wheels to the car were turned which would explain why there was a heavy drag after a while. My brother was surprised that with the weather and how poorly secured the car was, that we didn't have an accident. When I returned the truck and tow dolly, I made sure to tell the guy that helped me when I came in for my reservation, but he didn't seem concerned and only said he would look into it. I would not recommend this location to anyone. They are not concerned with safety.

dONNA LI have been a McKinney, TX resident for less than a year, and during that time have frequently rented U-Haul trailers to haul things on the weekend. I have had terrific experiences with both U-Haul locations in McKinney (West and East). The employees are very service oriented and in my experience will go out of their way to make sure I have what I need. It is very rare these days especially in a customer service industry to get this type of positive service consistently. U-Haul has done a great job getting quality people and training them to a high level at these two locations - much appreciated!
Don PI was overcharged for the loaner furniture pads. (Only reserved 1/2 dozen). Be more mindful of how addl items are charged. The counter crew were exceptionally great!!!

Is is a 30' parking slot, but it is situated in such a way that it is difficult to get in and out of. I am storing a truck that takes up every bit of the space and it is something that I drive 5 days a week so it may be an issue. Also, it appears that a lot of water drains through that area and the gravel is just about gone, so come the rainy season it is going to be a giant mud pit.

My things spent nine days in the truck at I believe close to $100 per day something like that I was told that I would be offered half price however when I went to pay for the truck once I loaded it into the storage unit it was full price. I did not like the deception of that. However, I had no choice and loaded my stuff into the storage unit where it stayed for two years. I have given your facility a lot of my Money. I think I over paid for the truck initially although I know it’s been three over two years I still think that left a bad taste in my mouth otherwise everything was delightful.

George G | Overall ExperienceThere were brand new clothes shoes jewelry my son pack and play brand new never been worn or opened & legal documents stolen from my unit! rats ate through a lot of me and my kids clothes food and furniture there was rat poop on all over everything I had inside. There was never an investigation done for my items that were stolen from my unit. Uhaul was not willing to renegotiate another date for me to pay on my unit after I cleared my balance owed. I was over charged $15 late fees then $30 then $50 almost every month. Uhaul charged me almost $1700 for a 20ft truck going one way from Texas to Georgia they automatically charge you for 5days and they don’t give you any money back if you bring the truck back without driving all the miles or using all the days! Uhaul will never get my service again especially not for storage very unprofessional unsanitary and distasteful to when it comes to helping customers when someone has stolen from their unit they got cameras and wouldn’t even investigate to see what kind of car/person stole from my unit. I pray this doesn’t happen to anyone else God bless y’all greedy company customers do not come first here!..I feel totally ripped off and to have my property stolen from me without so much as tag number or brief identification on a suspect really bothers me but God sit high and see low NEVER AGAIN!

Also there were a few times when my access card was not working properly. Luckily I only stopped by during business hours. The exit gate is damaged and not working upon my last visit. When a storage parking spot costs $155 per month the gate should always work.

After speaking with 2 different representatives, an assistant manager and the manager by phone and in person, they attempted to correct the problems but were unable to, so we decided that we should not go forward and rent the units because of the repeated delays and difficulties and the additional costs of time and money. Unfortunate for all concerned parties including U-Haul. This survey requires us to rate the facility and the personnel even though we didn’t occupy the units so I was required to do this rating and answer the questions regardless of the response.

The only complaints I have for the last Several months is that there was always trash around, on the weekends there was always a very long wait because they only had 2 people working behind the desk. Last thing, when I checked out for the final time, I told the guy I had one more thing to come get the next morning. When I got there, it had already been cleaned output, locked up and my belongings were gone!

Never mind my contract and payment I had on auto pay. Luckily for you the facility had an open unit they put me in. This is the only thing that prevented me filing a lawsuit for breaching the contract and damages of the difference between the contracted price and whatever the higher price would be at another facility. Absolute worst business experience in the past five years.

I again had to wait 15 minutes for your staff to stop chatting in your parking to close my storage unit account. Then after requesting to close the account i was told they would need to inspect the unit and then send me an email. None of this occurred. It was luke they were busy, only one other person was getting a trailer. And the parking lot sucks.

Anytime I would ask a question he would cut me off by answering the question before I could even finish saying it (sometimes he provided the wrong answer because he wouldn’t wait to hear my entire question before answering). He was eating his lunch right in front of me as I was trying to get information about my uhaul (normally I wouldn’t mind this but this guy was eating mozzarella sticks so he was stretching the cheese out of his mouth while speaking to me. Just very unprofessional). While walking me to my storage unit he was moving quickly. At one point he turned two corners and I didn’t know where he went because he was walking so far ahead of me. After we arrived at my storage unit, he opened the door for me then wished me a nice day and walked off. I would have appreciated if he would have asked if I had any questions about the unit (which I did) or offered to walk me back to the front of the storage building because the place was a maze. I had to figure out how to get out on my own since he left immediately after opening the door. I rated 2 stars because the worker was able to complete my reservation without any issues so he at least did that part well.

However when we went on 10/17/2020 there was a replacement crew since the owner was on vacation. The rest of the regular staff was not scheduled to come in until 130 in the afternoon but Saturday mornings are crazy busy and this replacement staff knew about UHaul but not about that location. I had to wait in long lines four times to get problems solved and answers to questions. I still don't have a lot of confidence that the UBox that we filled will be shipped correctly. ALSO THIS FACILITY DOES NOT HAVE ENOUGH PARKING. It is crazy and dangerous there with so many, cars, trucks and people darting all over in a tiny space.
