1. The key provided for the lock did not work. Thankfully I tried to lock and unlock it before I locked the back liftgate. 2. The vehicle shook when cornering. Again - thank goodness I had a short drive from one location to the next. 3. I ordered a furniture dolly and received a utility dolly instead. The location closed at 3:00 so I was unable to switch.

The app delayed my start time. It wouldn't register my location so I ended up trying to scan the barcode which also didn't work. Eventually I tried the website and that worked but I lost 30 minutes or so of time. On top of that idk whose at fault for this but my original pick up had to be changed to a further one. This cost me gas for my personal vehicle and caused me more money than expected. Hopefully for my next move I can find another company.

My first time to use self checking. The U-Haul app directed me to the 24/7 service which talked me through the process and had to redirect me to the website to complete checking in. The app would not scan the barcode of my drivers license. Nidia was extremely helpful, pleasant, patient, knowledgeable and professional. I definitely prefer the personal assistance versus the unpredictable app. Improve the app to accommodate the requirements requested from the customer to check in.

Improve customer service. The vehicles battery was dead when I picked it up, causing me to call roadside assistance. There was no fuel in the vehicle, so I had to immediately go the the gas station. The store employee, Ashley, and the store GM, Elijah Mack, did nothing to help compensate the lost time and inconvenience that occurred with this rental experience. Unfortunate outcome. Will be going to a different company next time.

There is a sign when you pull up that asks you to stop and someone will come out and help you. I sat for about 10-15 mins before I finally walked in to ask what my next steps were. Both employees seemed annoyed to have to come outside.

We had a difficult time with the app. Apparently, if you do not arrive at scheduled time, then “pick up truck” no longer visible on app and no instructions on how to move forward with your rental. This caused a frustrating hour of delays trying to figure out what we needed to do to get the truck. Customer service was helpful, but it could be easier and less time consuming if more clear on the app itself.

The location was fine but the process to get my truck was terrible. I have rented before from locations that allow 24 hour pick up and never had a problem. This time it took me 1:20 minutes to get my truck i reserved. This delayed my whole day and the experience was terrible.

A lot of the bay doors do not work properly. I have been at this storage for the last 4 years and have seen it change ownership 4xs... This is the only company that has been slacking in keeping the doors working & the stairs not looking smashed into.

My only complaint is the lack of prorated departure costs. I vacated my unit 3 days after the "Contracted" date due to weather (Hurricane) I had to shift my departure date due to a change in my movers schedule. The weather caused a shift in all movers availbility as they were trying to accomodate customers from previous week cancelled moves. I asked staff to consider this, I was told UHaul does not prorate. Otherwise this facility is staffed by excellent people (Ashley, Tenaya) who were always willing to help throughout my stay. Note: This facility is exceptionally clean. The staff take a lot of pride in their work

When making a big move across country I used a U-Haul storage to store some things when going back and forth. The only thing that I would comment on is if I could access it 24/7 with my key card that would be ideal. Otherwise staff was amazing at both locations.

Keep Ashley forever!!! The truck however had Arizona plates I believe and had poor brakes and the battery went dead with emergency flashers on roadside loading. We had to call AAA for a jump start at 2:00 am. But your facility is top notch. Highly recommend…

The rental place did not have the equipment I had reserved two weeks in advance (utility dolly). I had to move a washer and driver down a set of stairs and back up two sets and could not get it done without an appliance dolly. So i ended up having to drive across town to get an appliance dolly from another location and I started my move 2 hours later in the day than I planned and it took two days to move instead of one Next they gave me a truck that was completely empty on gas and first place I had to go was the gas station down the road

The app is very very very slow updating. The 2 ladies working the front counter were rude. When I nicely explained the first time that I was in a hurry, they slowed down. After that it was a contentoius transaction. I was rude, they were rude. Not ok.

Other than being able to reach Elijah your no contact rental is shit. I connected to your wifi and still could not get the app to complete the transaction. It would lock up and it would keep going back to "Lets get started".Its a great idea but human contact is still the best.

App check out of equipment. Took 40 minutes to get everything to load and be verified to get the truck and be able to start our move. I will not EVER use y'all again unless it's at a location with an actual human working the counter to hand over the keys.

The mobile phone process of picking up and returning the vehicle took longer than it should have. Cell service in the area was weak making downloading pictures very slow. Had to resubmit a couple times because they wouldn’t go through. It took almost 30 minutes from start to finish before we finally were able to get the key. The return process was the same. The idea is great for the convenience of picking up after hours but there’s gotta be another way to send pictures when cell service in the area is not good!

I had no issues with the rental pickup location or cleanliness of the equipment. However, I would suggest picking up/dropping off only during normal operating hours. The mobile app and process to pick up/drop off 24/7 needs significant improvement. Even after watching the videos on what to expect for pick up/drop off using the app, its extremely frustrating. Had to call customer service to get my app to show "Pickup My Truck" option- customer service had to perform some reset. Then screens go blank during the process, with no message telling you to "wait while processing" or other updates, so you don't know whether to start over or not. No one ever responded to my "Chat" messages, either during pickup or drop off. At drop-off, I was unable to offer any comments about equipment condition because the "Submit" or "Continue" button would only function if I answered all questions in a positive manner, meaning everything was fine. I had no equipment issues that impacated my trip, but I simply wanted to provide feedback that the truck brakes worked fine, but made a loud grinding noise and the airbag light came on intermittently during our trip, leading me to believe it may or may not function properly in an accident.

Before UHaul took over I had up to 2:00 AM access because I am a DJ. When my gigs end I had to drive home with my equipment and wait until the next morning to put it back in storage. This was a big inconvenience for me. I found another storage with better access times.

When I arrived to do my mobile check-in, I came unprepared. I did not expect to need my passport. I ended up calling my mother as the alternate person who could verify me. I didn't prepare her for this ahead of time, and it was confusing for her. This independent verification step (after sending a picture of my driver's license) was unexpected. If it was mentioned in my pre-check-in experience, I didn't notice. This should be more prominent.

When checking in to get the rental, it would be nice to actually have the front desk explain things. I signed a contract and didn’t even know. He told me to sign the screen, and I now I have all these fees that I’m unaware of. Then I get charged for mobile check in when I initially checked in at the front desk.

All three services Truck, Van and Storage have all been billed incorrectly with demand for payments and lien notices after disputes regarding the incorrect charges were filed snd communicated on multiple occasions. As a result, we have filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Consumer Protection Agency. So you will be hearing from them soon. That said, we will never use UHAUL again, nor recommend your business and its services.

South-facing storage entrance should have a tapered edge ramp built into the concrete walk in order to allow loaded carts to roll smoothly into and out of building rather than to have to lift over the concrete edging. There should be no parking in the loading area other than the vehicle and trailer associated with load-in.

The only good thing about this location is the staff, especially Brian. Brian works harder than any U-Haul employee I’ve ever seen. He goes above and beyond for customers. He’s extremely knowledgeable on everything he needs to be, and more — definitely someone U-Haul should value as an employee. Other than that, the facility itself is poorly built/designed and the experience there is below average compared to other facilities. The units aren’t able to truly hold what the space is advertised as because there are random beams running throughout the units (either from floors to ceiling or completely through the middle laterally or diagonally). The worst part about this facility is there’s no equipment to help people move heavy items, no dollies or rolling. So you’re expected to carry couches, dressers and other heavy items through the facility’s narrow hallways to your unit.

Everyone that works here is extremely helpful but the unit measurements are not accurate. While some of the units are in fact 8 feet tall as advertised, half of the units are just 6'2" — which is a loss of 70 cubic feet.

Since U Haul took over, the small parking lot is often packed with rental vehicles on weekends when I want to access my storage. Maintenance has declined. I was unable to get a light replaced in my large, dark locker for several months. I was finally told that lights were not going to be replaced once they went out and I should bring my own lights if I needed to see what I had in storage! The previous Manager was meticulous about cleaning up any miscellaneous debris left over after someone moved in or out. Pieces of things are now sometimes left outside for weeks. Our unit and several on our floor and above us got soaked when blocked gutters couldn’t handle a big rain storm. We weren’t notified until 2 days after the damage occurred, causing us to throw out a third of our possessions stored there and a stored Oriental rug to get wet and start to get moldy. The aftermath of work entailed to go through all of the paperwork, photos, etc. that I stored there has been time consuming and painful. The on-call manager did her best to help us move and document some things. However, the lost hours and memories can never be replaced. (Note: I received this survey after the above incident caused us to move our things to a nearby, dry room. I didn’t recently move in but have been here for almost a year.)

The large access door is often opened and you can walk in. Also, many times U-Haul rental trucks are parked in front of the only area where you can load and unload. This was very inconvenient and frustrating.

I went to meet my parents to drop off some items on Sunday a few minutes after closing and my code wasn’t working. My parents drove a long way so I was really hoping to unload what they brought and luckily Lou was still in the office. He took my last name, walked in the door, and not 5 minutes later he came out, knew I did have a rental unit and he opened the door for us! He never once made me think I was an inconvenience to him even though he was staying late to help us out. I have to say this was a wonderful experience and will definitely make me recommend this location to my friends.
