I reserved a 26 foot truck, got a 20 foot truck and enclosed trailer. Not happy. Joe was amazing and has a great attitude and is customer driven. Thanks Joe. I have used U-haul many times. Time for you guys to say next rental is on the house. Unfortunately that’s not how corporate works! Again Joe is a Rock Star.

I was called 2 days before pick up and lied to about the availability of my truck. This was from a scheduler. She flat out tild me my location didn't have a truck for me and I'd have to drive 2 hours each way to get one. This caused a ton of work on my part. Then Saturday morning I decided to check my uhaul again before making the stupid drive with my wife to get the truck. This location said they have had a 4 plus all week. Which I mentioned to the scheduler when I was on the phone. She said they were for in and around town. Sierra vista location said they do this all the time and we always have the trucks. Horrible!! I won't be using uhaul for this reason but I don't want to bag on my location.

My storage experience was flawless. The only comment I have is that when I rented a truck to empty my unit I was not informed that the smallest truck, which is what I wanted, did not have a ramp. Since I was moving a piano a ramp was really what I needed. Had I been informed of that I would have opted for the truck with a ramp. Perhaps you could place a sign that says “10’ truck does not include ramp”. However, I was very pleased with my overall experience.

I would like to mention, an individual in my party has cancer and needed medical assistance prior to arriving in tucson. I attempted to change drop off locations (closer) and spoke with the lady from Tucson who tried to send me to Marana (not tucson). She said she would charge me double for changing locations:
"You will be receiving a call shortly from a U-Haul representative regarding your reservation. Please expect a call from 5208295112. Thank you."
She was absolutely aweful.
Eventually was connected with scheduling who rectified the situation and was ver good.
The lady in tucson needs to be immediately fired. No customer service skills.

We were locked at at 10pm without a warning we had our keys and stuff with us but had to leave carts outside . I thought there would have been in loud speaker . It was s little creepy at night there hardly any lights on . And the way it’s slanted coming out of storage is a problem my carts keep taking off and I can’t run with my feet . I can’t believe anyone would design it that drastic for run off and flooding maybe it’s what the engineers had to do ? Other wise nice storage unit I already told somebody else to go there and she got a unit 👍

The light sensors did not work in the portion of building where our storage unit was located, which made it extremely difficult to move things in and out. Communicated the issue to the office/support staff. A technician came to address the situation, but as soon as they left the premices, the lights went out and our unit, which was near the back of the building, was in total darkness once again. We rented the unit for 7 months, and the lack of lighting was always an issue.

The only reason I answered yes to, Q #1 "Was the storage facility secure and well lit?" is due to only one of your employees. It was Joe Santos who took the time to add new lights to our corner unit #1538. I lodged my complain with the front office twice. First time they tried to tell me that they could do nothing. I felt it was unexceptible as it was so dark we could not see our stuff. We even bought a camping lantern but still very hard to see. We saw Joe Santos working around the units and he was able to install new lights above us. It made ALL the difference! We rented unit for 3 months but it would have been only one month if the lighting had not been fixed. If I recommend your storage to someone I will make sure they know about Joe Santos as he is your best employee!!

Our only complaint is lighting. We were given a corner 10 x 10 and the hallway directly in front has no light. They told us that the storage units are not lite directly over the units but that the hallways should be. It is ao dark that we had to buy a battery lantern to be able to see in unit. It is still very hard to see in unit. So we are very disappointed. I would not rent a unit again.

I only went with uhaul because other storage places were full in the local area. Uhaul is the most expensive and they dont prorate the payment so because i paid for a month on the 29th and moved out on the 17th, I wasnt refunded for the unused days which I feel should be disclosed prior to the rent since it is the most expensive rented storage locally. I was disappointed of paying more and paying more for unused days.

I'm chemical sensitive, so the the 2 bug killer boxes emitted so much that it permeated through all my boxes and double- bagged and boxed clothes and other items. It ruined all my clothes and quite a few other items (70% of the 10x10) despite 6 different medical cleaning methods tried, so I have to watch for that and it is the reason we stopped our storage. The only real complaint in your power was the messed up account and storage unit info in the beginning delaying our entry 4 days and missing our helper crew for move in day. It was easy, clean, and dry in our outdoor unit.

My concern was with the security system. The main entrance door didn't always lock after I exited and the alarm always sounded regardless of me entering my code. It seems alarms would be easily ignored if they are routinely going off. It didn't feel completely secured because of these things and seems like an issue to address.

I always felt safe coming into this Uhaul facility, which was important since I left an abusive relationship and this is where my stuff (that I could take) ended up. I also appreciated the staff. They were very kind and helpful.
The other think I liked was the little area set aside where you could donate anything you didn't want. THAT was worth the cost of the storage right there. I'd give you all 6 stars if I could.

I never got to really use the unit- I had a reservation, but upon going and being told that I could upgrade to a larger unit since there were 2, I was told that this local facility can NOT ever reserve anything- once you put your name in your month starts- so when our U-haul truck full of stuff comes across country arriving to put the stuff in MAYBE they will have a unit ready- we do like the first month free - we have 3 weeks between arrival and our apartment opening up. The relative that is here already reserved in June or July and walked in there yesterday to check on the change in actual storage spot. I was briefly reassured after the gruff and irritated correction that the busy season is ending and we SHOULD get one- who knows which size and where.

First impressions are the most important and when I walked into the office, it was so very clean and tidy! I loved the storage size demos in the office that show you what a 5 x 5 or 5 x 10 actually looks like. I thought I wanted a 5 x 5, but after seeing it, I went with the 5 x 10. The gentlemen who helped me out were friendly, funny, and helpful. They set me up on an autopay (because I didn't want to deal with remembering such an important bill) and explained the card key. Added bonus was the knowing there is such good security. I will definitely recommend this facility! Wish I remembered the name of the gentleman who helped me. He was great.

Levi was excellent and really helped with the check in process. He deserves five stars. I had reserved a storage unit online, only to find that none was available when I arrived. Levi worked to find an available space and ensure that I was able to rent it. It is a concern to me that I reserved a space on line, following Uhaul’s process, then after traveling across country, finding that my reservation was essentially worthless. That’s a 3 star performance, maybe 2.

Since I have to access my unit with a key card and my lock along with cameras recording, why can't I access my unit any time I want to? Its an indoor facility where something had spilled on the floor in the walkways, tracked everywhere and on one of the carts. It was there the next day too. Other than that, very good & would use again
