Shannon EThe 19.99 marketing is a scam. I was charged for mileage, 47 measly miles, at ten dollars per mile and 30 dollars for using a quarter tank of gas. This three hour rental cost me seven times the advertised rate. $30 for insurance also. The upsell is ridiculous. Never will I use u-haul again. It would have been more economical to go to enterprise. I should report this transaction to the authorities. This is definitely an unfair trade case
Rosemary HThis is a great Uhaul franchisee. The staff are friendly and keep the place clean. They greet me on arrival, even in the parking lot. They lean forward with customer service. Also, they are diligent with trailer safety protocols and take photo proof each time I've been here. The facility itself is good with space to turn around with a trailer. Levani EI"m in disbelief, the female attendant who checked me in asked, did I refuel the tank. Not only did l refill it, I over filled it and stated joke fully, " I wish I could cipher some back. She still billed me for an extra 2 gallons. Then instead of notifying me I let my motorcycle cover in the truck, it gets discarded and I'm charged a $25 fee. Nothing else was in the truck. I simply transported my motorcycle. I would recommend customers stay for check out.to avoid over charges. Thanks

Alberta BThe customer service I received at 4599 ALLENTOWN ROAD from one Gio was appalling! He was RUDE and CONDESCENDING. He exhibited a very disrespectful attitude. He was very unprofessional. I lodged a complaint at the Washington DC scheduling office. Gio needs a disciplinary action from management and an in-service training to better his CS skills. If Gio worked for me, I would fire him on the spot! He is sooo disrespectful!!! I had to leave and return my truck and trailer to the PENN PL location where they were very professional and respectful.

Lanette BThe Uboxes were smaller than the person that recommended I use them than I thought. I ended up using 5. I did tell the person who took my reservation how many rooms I needed to store. Two Uboxes was not nearly enough. I want to commend April on a job well done. She was on time with every delivery and pick up. Very pleasant to work with and communicated well during the moving process from start to finish. April was professional and truly made the whole process stress free because of her concern to ensure I had what I needed and when. Thank you April!!!!
Denise DThe questions that have been asked, my most honest rating is that the service was acceptable. My grievance is about honesty in pricing. In the contract we received an estimate regarding the price for the rental. We were subsequently charged this price plus tax when we picked up the vehicle. We were given a discount and directed to return the vehicle to a location in Upper Marlboro, Md. When we went to drop it off at this location, the proprietor refused to take it. We were then directed by you to take it to another location. After dropping the vehicle off, we were levied with an extra charge. This appears to be a breach of contract and an unjust fee. We are appealing this fee through your company as well as with our credit card issuer. Our overall rating would be one star. We would also not recommend this company to our friends; however, we are aware that you control the largest share of the moving van rental space. We also know that this lack of recommendation would do very little to impact your business prospects.

Javier CThis Uhaul location is a rip off. I was offered a rate and estimated milage. When I dropped off the vehicle, Uhaul charged me extra for the miles. I did not drive the vehicle for an extra mile other than driving from the uhaul pick up location to my house in Annandale, VA and then to Dunkirk, MD and then to the Uhaul designated drop off location. I reached out to customer services and they did not care either. I have the full transcript and can share the details if interested. I will be sure to rent from Penske in the future. I find them reasonable.

Flor M | First ImpressionsThe web application needs a little polish. I had to make change to the initial delivery date and order lookup was a little clunky which made me have to call. Similar experience when trying to change date of the U-Box pickup. I called to make the change because I was not able to do thru the web app. After the update the delivery date was changed (which I did not ask for) and it was it was set to the same day as the pick-up with a 45 minute window to unload. If there was more flexibility in the app to make changes there would be fewer phone calls required.
John BI scheduled a pickup online and a couple days before the scheduled pickup , I get a message that my pickup and drop off location has changed. This happens everytime and is very irratating. This one was 45mins in traffic and there are 3+ U-haul dealers right here in Waldorf MD that is way more convenient. I schedule 2-3 weeks inadvance and can not see why I have to go outside my town to get the trailer and to make it worse, I can not drop it off at a local U-Haul dealer. I understand things happen but of the 6 plus times I have rented a motorcycle trailer, only one time has been in my town. Suggest offering a "convience fee" opton. I would pay extra for a local pickup and drop off.
George MThis location was closed so I was unable to speak to someone. The personnel who help me at Central location says their closed at 7pm but actuality closed at 5pm. I didn't like the fact I had to drop it at another location instead of where I originally got it from.

They did ultimately have a unit, but I had to wait for around 20 minutes while they checked. They also told me that I could not use my debit card to make recurring auto payments and that I would need to call in to pay my unit rent.
