The customer service person named Ron was rude and intimidating. I had asked questions about needing 2 local contacts as I was an out of state driver. I had mentioned to him that the rental I did 2 weeks prior didnt require a second local contact. He proceeded to berate me verbally, explaining I was wrong and if I didnt like it I could go to another Uhaul rental company. He then said in a loud voice I know what I'm doing and you are wrong. He then told me I could not use a debit card. I said I used my debit card for the last rental. He made a phone call to his manager and asked and then he told me I could use it I was merely asking for clarification when he became verbally abusive. . After finishing the contract and got the key, I went through a small hall to speak to another employee to get his name and the name of the manager. He came from behind his desk and came up to me and yelled at me and told me I was not allowed in the hallway. Then yelled you need to get out of this hallway I walked towards the door and turned and asked him why he was being so rude to me and he walked away and said out loud in front of the other customers that he it was because I was questioning his knowledge of his work,, like I dont know what I am doing. When I got to the van, I saw the text from Uhaul asked me to verify the plate number. I discovered he had given me the wrong key. I had to go back and wait in line for another 30 minutes to get the right key. I dont know if it was a mistake or if it was intentional. I have rented from this location before and I have never experienced such a rude customer service person. I was humiliated from his outburst in front of all the other customers. I am a business owner and NO customer should ever be treated with such disrespect.

The uhaul app made it such a hassle to check in and receive my equipment. When I called Uhaul customer service for help, they ended up walking me through the process on my phones mobile browser. If the answer to the app not working properly is to simply do it online, I don't understand what the point of the app is besides adding to customer frustration. I'm 8 months pregnant and sat outside the location for 40 minutes because the uhaul app would not let me move forward in the process to pick up my uhaul. I was frustrated because I couldn't get the app to do what Uhaul says it will (make the checkout and check in process easier) AND I had to use the bathroom very badly. I ended up crying in my car because I just couldn't get the app to work. It's really sad that your own employees know the app is unreliable to the point that it's best to just use the online web browser version. Making the uhaul app a pointless time waster. Thank goodness for your employees who helped a frustrated pregnant lady out! The bathroom at the uhaul location I picked my keys up from was so clean and it smelled good!

The vehicle smelled like cigarettes and urine. We tried to clean it out, but couldn’t get the smell to go away. I called the location to let them know and all they said was they would add a note so I wouldn’t get in trouble for it.

Contract was incorrect. Contract stated that truck had 1/2 a tank of gas when it was closer to 1/4. Person behind counter was on a personal phone call the entire time I was trying to get my rental and was reading my personal phone number out loud while on the phone.

Only issue I did not like was that the dolly was a pre-fill on your online order system. I did not see that and was charged for something I did not need. Hats of to the staff, they removed the charge when I asked about it. Overall—great staff at this location

The truck I drove was in pretty bad shape as far as the exterior. The ride was also very rough as if the truck could have used a lot of maintenance. U-haul had always been my go to and while I may still use for local trips, I would opt for a better trucking experience for my longer hauls

The truck had on the check engine light and they did not inform us before hand. The muffler sounded as if it was going to fall off when driving and when the truck was just parked it sounded like the engine could just die at any moment. I did not feel safe at all driving but due to them already closing I had no choice

Title: Unacceptable Condition of U-Haul Van - Refund Requested I recently rented a van from U-Haul and was extremely disappointed with the condition of the vehicle. Upon picking up the van, I was greeted with a filthy interior. The floor was covered in dirt, and candy wrappers were scattered throughout. Shockingly, there were even bits of marijuana in the cup holders. Additionally, the van reeked of smoke, making the driving experience very unpleasant. This level of uncleanliness is not only unacceptable but also raises serious concerns about the maintenance and hygiene standards of U-Haul vehicles. I expected a clean and well-maintained van for my rental. Instead, I received a vehicle that was clearly not inspected or cleaned prior to my use. Given the unacceptable state of the van, I am requesting a full refund. It is imperative that U-Haul addresses these cleanliness issues immediately to prevent future customers from having a similar experience.

The truck was terrible, not suitable to drive. It was loud and had brake issues. When hitting the gas, it’s hard to push forward.

My trailer broke down with the wheels locking up and a tire went flat. I called roadside assistance. They sent someone to fix the flat and ignored the entire "locked up". Anyways, after it wasn't resolved, U-Haul sent a second tow truck who loaded it and took it to Akron for some reason for repairs. Now, this location charged me $190.24 for dropping it off at the wrong location.

The trailer had human feces on the wheel and side of trailer. Husband ended up putting his hand in it to move a piece of wood. The employee had him go into the office and wash his hands; he was very apologetic.

Miscommunication on schedule, no one showed up until 7:15 am and she had no clue about the computer.The gentleman who was supposed to be there thought he was closing but did show up around 730.VERY STRESSFUL because of time and I gave myself extra time and I just made my appointment because I was 45 minutes later than I thought . Glad I did not do the online check-in because two ladies reserved it for 6:00 and couldn't get into the U-Haul because there was a lock on the rear door and didn't have a key so they had to wait till the store opened at 7:30 and they needed it at 6 am nobody was there even at 7:00 so they had to cancel their plans because it was already an hour and a half past the pickup time.

The desk staff was very friendly and helpful. There were two 26 feet trucks on the lot. The first truck given to us had a check engine light on. Fortunately, we were able to switch to the second truck which was satisfactory. It was a challenge getting to the place due to road closes. The only available entrance was the back gate.

When I received the uhaul truck, the back of the truck was dirty, and the gas tank was on empty. I took pictures through the inspection of tje email that was sent to me of both, and when I tried to explain that the truck was dirty, and that the gas tank was on empty to the male associate there he was really unprofessional, and rude.

The manager needs to follow through on their promise to put out better signage and directions. There was no notice or indication that the entrance at the address provided was closed due to the road being torn up. We had to circle the block several times trying to figure out where to go until we noticed the generic "Business Entrance" sign provided by ODOT. It did not tell us that the U-Haul location was through there. I tried calling to ask for better directions and was immediately put on hold. Notice needs to be given when someone drops off from out of town if the whole road is torn up!

The service I received was excellent, my hitch was installed in a timely manner and the technician was courteous and answered all my questions. However, finding the location of the u-haul address was challenging due to the road being closed and GPS kept rerouting me for a 1/2 hour. The Fountain Ave entrance was blocked off due to the construction and the road was all torn up.

The sign said wait until someone comes to you during normal hours, I did and nobody came-I went inside after 10 minutes. I traveled 135 miles and put 13 gallons of gas in taking the gauge to 3/4 and I still was charged for 4 more gallons.

The back gate was never secured and mostly just falling down. I'm aware that the front gate was always left open anyway but the back gate being left broken in the back, invites trouble especially in that neighborhood. Other than that everything was great. The young man at the desk was always nice.

I just feel like, when asked for them to work with me on my storage it didn’t happen. I explained to them that I was going through a difficult time and that I just ask for a little more time. When calling them to see if they could work with me to catch up on it. I always got told something different from different people, all the way up until I lost it. I lost everything in that storage. The reason why I got behind was because I lost my husband and I didn’t have any help doing that time.

While loading the leftover stuff that didn't fit into the 1 way rental, that staff went into my storage unit and told me that I could not put certain things into the unit which was very concerning to me. He was rude & said I should have reviewed the contract but if certain things weren't allowed I would have that they would have asked or even mentioned it. My things were there 2 weeks, won't ever use or recommend them to anyone!

I opened the door to my unit and it was covered in mouse feces and dead bugs. A mouse trap is in the corner. It is incredibly disgusting. There was a hole in wall at base board level that probably lets the vermin and insects in.

The staff is just plain not very friendly. There’s just no way around it. From set up with the storage unit, stopping in to be by boxes and other supplies, to finally closing out the unit when I was done. They’re just not the slightest bit friendly. Not greeted when I walk up, no “thank you”, and simply nothing but the bare minimum in any interaction. It fascinated me every time just how unfriendly they were. I’ve used other facilities in the area and did not have the same experience, so it’s definitely unique to this one.

I wrote a pretty scathing google review of this place recently. I’ll defer to that. Staff that won’t greet customers. I went in there yesterday and the office was empty of employees for ten whole minutes. Probably the worst customer service I’ve ever had. Was told like a week ago that mold on my stuff I’d had in storage for a year was my problem. Offered no assistance. Told me to call RepWest and the employee didn’t even know what it was. Completely inarticulate when it came to specifics of their job.
