Roof leaked twice into my unit. Manager was rude and argumentative. Insurance company was unreasonable. I was never reimbursed for the damage to my items - they wanted me to surrender everything that was damaged while paying me pennies on the dollar for my furniture. I ended up spending money to get items repaired.
Other staff were very helpful and professional.
Beware of this facility Tallmadge, Ohio - it is not in good repair.
I would be surprised if this review shows up anywhere!

Due to bad weather conditions coming the day that we were supposed to pick up the truck to help my mom move, this location allowed me to pick it up a day early and we got it done before the bad weather. The guy who checked me out was moving at a snail's pace the entire time. He didn't know how to do half of what we was doing, which seems like the most fundamental part of his job. I'm not a physician, but if I had to guess, I'd say he was on something, most likely Oxy. He seemed to be in a parallel universe.
The truck wasn't ready when we got there. There was a lot full of trucks, which I read on your website includes the "most new vehicles of any rental company" but I got the worst one on the lot. The alignment was shot and the breaks were toast. For ~$650 rental, I was hoping for a better experience.

The manager that was on duty was very disrespectful to me very unhelpful told me that I could not rent the truck I needed nor that they had first month free on storage I had to go outside in the parking lot and call and reserve the equipment that I can pick it up right there within 10 minutes later and they had everything that he claimed they didn't it cussed me out as I was going out the door and said f you to me he has no business working there and it has no tolerance for customers and I was nothing but respectful to him so I would not recommend that place for nobody

Thank you you all for making my move as easy as possible!! It was an unexpected move and it was very last minute but I had to move so I appreciate them getting me a truck so fast and making a go so smooth and they also gave me extra time because a bunch of people that were supposed to help me move canceled out on me so it took us a lot of extra time to move then what I thought it would be and I was supposed to have the truck back at 4:00 but they let me keep it overnight with no extra charge which was amazing I've highly recommend using U-Haul and it was the one on talmage

I'm not sure what happened, I made the reservation on-line but they didn't have it when I got there to pick up the vehicle, which means that it wasn't cleaned off, it was covered with snow and ice snd I had to wait for it to warm up to clean the windshield off, and the bed was full of snow so when I picked up what I was using it for my merchandise had to sit in the snow! Like I said I don't know what happened whether it was a internet problem or on the store level that it wasn't ready when I got there!

There was a woman who helped me out and was amazing Danielle was her name I think. Give her recognition and maybe a raise it’s hard to find great ppl and you have one. Please let her know. I indefinitely did. If I got her name wrong I asked for a job she gave me a card and asked if I could move my CRV and I did promptly. She’ll know as soon as you mention those things.

I was very pleased with the job Don did installing my 2” receiver hitch on my new Lexus at a Tallmadge, Ohio U-Haul . The facility was very clean and neat. The installation was finished earlier than anticipated and the employees were very friendly and accommodating. And I was very pleased with the price in that the dealer estimate was over three times U-Haul’s price and I got a lifetime warranty. Happy to recommend U-Haul.

I would recommend taking time stamped pics of gas level, mileage and zip tie holding the dolly in before you leave the parking lot. We got charged for using dolly because zip tie was not on it, but we did not use the dolly.

The door of the truck was really hard to pull down, especially if the truck was parked on a decline. I also tried to use the self-check-in and drop off and it was a disaster. The app doesn't work, there were too many bugs. It wouldn't advance to the next page, wouldn't load other pages, etc.
Otherwise, the staff at this location were wonderful to compensate for the website/app's errors. :)

I ordered a 10x10x10 and received two smaller units instead. I am certain it was due to what units were available, but I was not given an option to opt out of this option when ordering the space, and it's technically not what I ordered.
It is still the same amount of space(maybe even a bit more, I didn't measure). However, it is inconvenient needing two doors, two locks, and two keys. It also changes the way I can store my things considering the doors are much smaller.

Bethann is wonderful and understood my situation, was kind and offered suggestions on how to handle the crisis I was in and my desire to make things as right as possible regarding my storage unit. The number of times I tried to express this to Danielle was pointless, she was cold and didn't care - not that my issues are her issues but personal issues prevent payments from being made. If she is so worried about collecting funds, she might want to up her customer service to be like Bethann. And furthermore, had the lock been removed from my unit in OCTOBER, when I was caught up, I would have been moved out then but getting Danielle to do anything to help in this situation so I could move out of the unit was impossible. Want better reviews? Be more like Bethann.

The GM there was awful. I had called a week prior when the GM Danielle was not there and asked the employee to leave a note to have her call me back before I was billed again for a unit I was not using. I ended up getting billed again a week later with no phone call. Then the GM proceeded to mock me and excercise some of the worst customer service skills I've seen in my life when I decided to call in again. She hung up on me twice because I started to get upset with someone that wasn't willing to put the effort in to help me as I'm being charged $148 for something I was not using. Her attempts to explain the reasoning were poor and very vague. The unit itself isn't bad but if you can avoid having to interact with this individual I would. I made it maybe 2 sentences into our phone conversation before she became hostile with me and I had been very calm and very clear about why I was calling with no anger to my voice to start off with. She did nothing but escalate the situation and make things worse for both of us. I will not be returning solely based off my experience with Danielle. I'd suggest a different position if you can't keep a calm manner with customers and learn de-escalation skills. I would not want you as the face of my business.

Everything was immaculately clean and very well organized. In fact it even smelled clean.
I rented the unit online and got a free lock.
It was super easy to rent online, if I could do it, trust me, you could too.
The bathrooms, like everything else, were spotless.
And there were plenty of moving carts by the door as soon as you walk in.
I highly recommend this location.
It was a great experience.

Reservation system was complete disaster. I was moving from another state made a storage reservation and when I arrived I was told no unit of that size was available. A complete disaster of a rental system.
The staff argued saying reservations are not a guarantee. When I pull in with a 20 foot truck load I expect service and guarantee.

Danielle Hillman bent over backwards to take my information , secured a unit for me, sold me a lock and helped my movers and myself with all the courtesy of a professional. The facility was immaculate !!! I would absolutely tell friends and family to use U-Haul if needed. Thank you and Danielle for the relocation to my original hometown after 14 years. Great job !!!!

Small slip up with the reservation itself, they put it under my mothers name instead of mine. So when I came in for the truck, they claimed there was no reservation. I then went to another dealer, and they said the reservation was there under my bank card number! I had to go back!😡

Not well lit, not enough signage or information about rules. I used the unit 3 times to bring furniture in and out and used side doors closet to my unit not bay doors. I was there for 2-3 hours each time with commercial moving companies. No one ever said I could not use the side doors that were unlocked with no signage. When I was ready to move out completely the doors were pad locked. I asked why. The manager accused me of breaking into unlocked doors and putting units at risk. She yelled at me and was completely rude. Customer service is poor and slow . Your location should take responsibility for lack or locking your own doors , putting up signs that say emergency exit only or signs that say specific doors can not be used. I am not a thief and do not appreciate the service I received and will never use Uhaul again.

Bay door doesn’t always open up on arrival as it is supposed to. Manager is not the friendliest of people to deal with. All other workers have been nice. One time someone’s unit was open and their things were spread across the main hall so you couldn’t get through. No one seemed to be doing anything about it.
