Abe FarrEverything I owned was destroyed by mouse poop and pee. I reported this in JUNE. It was so bad the uhaul worker didn’t dare to step in for photos-no worries- I took 100 photos and videos! Didn’t hear anything back, called again sept 8. Spoke to corporate. They assured me my stuff would not be sold, and that an investigation would begin. He gave me an email to send all photos and videos. All photos and videos sent, did not hear anything back. Received an email saying all of my stuff was sold. See you in court 🤝

And gone hit me with a damage fee saying I denting the side double doors which I didn’t do that I received the U-Haul in poor condition

I’ve use this service for years and never have this issue till now and I feel robbed and I will be calling the higher cooperation to tell them and show them that this is not fair and I won’t be using this location no more and will tell everyone not to use them it’s unfair and unjust for such little debris . My friend works for uhaul I will be complaining to their big boss as well it’s ridiculous a sweepable amount of dirt I’m being charged 90 dollars for that it’s robbery .

The most Annoying aspect, I cancelled my storage facility after 3 years and I'm still getting invoiced after my service was cancelled. What a scam. Because of this reason I will not recommend this facility to anyone.

william coates1. the two large doors for the trucks to pull in to the facility was broken and although online I signed up for a 1st floor storage room instead I received one on the second floor. This caused me to spend more money on moving then would be necessary due to the time taken to go back and forth. 2. The sliding door does not operate after hours. Whats the point of having access if you are forced to use the tiny entryway door which has stairs. This is seriously inconvenient as it does not allow for ease of moving your things. 3. While this may be no fault of the people who parked there but maybe ensure trucks cannot park right in front of the loading area. This prevented myself and others behind to walk the items several tens of feet to the door and those stairs to enter the facility.

Pawel GrobelnyI have had a very traumatizing experience with U-Haul located at 2800 Ridge Avenue in Philadelphia Pennsylvania 19132. I do plan on reaching out to an attorney fory most recent experience. I came in and paid for a storage unit and rented a U-Haul van for the first time and no one provided me a copy of customer rights responsibilities and policy and procedures. However a gentleman at the location whom is of a light complexion African American male short in stature was great and helpful. The manager and general manager was quite unprofessional impudent and rude and did not take accountability for any of the issues I confronted them with. I was not made aware that I would have to pay for the rental of the van until I return it. I thought that while the funds were available on the day I came in that they would take the funds each time I am seen on the cameras coming to the facility to make payments on the extension of the van I was told by a tall slim African American male that I was alright and didn't have to pay until I return the van. Which by the Time I returned the van Amazon prior purchases that were pending being processed took the money remaining in my account rather than take their money when I placed the orders. Which after paying for my storage unit and movers fees for a third party on U-Haul website my funds were already starting to be exhausted. So I wanted them to take the money before any other entity or business took my funds. Because securing my belongings and my move expenses were more important. I came in from another state to gather some things from my unit on 09/15/2023. To discover my unit floor covered in urine. I explained each time I came to my unit I am seen on camera moving things in and out of the unit at no time was I in the unit urinating to cause a spill of urine at anytime. I began cleaning the unit myself with my own personal cleaning supplies from my personal cleaning company before I was offered a mop and bucket. Staff tem came to offer me a new unit and once I placed all my items in that unit they come with a 72 hour vacate notice. After asking another unit holder to open her unit for possible damage rather than to see if she was responsible. I felt quite hurt and offended and frustrated by all issues brought unto me and my belongings. When I said I was contacting my lawyer they resolved the issue immediately. But after I moved out of my unit by myself into another unit by myself only to be told to move back to my unit which disrupted my plans for my trip to Philadelphia for a day. And I still have not received the refund promised to me. I am hoping that the manager and general manager are reprimanded or held accountable for their unprofessionalism and the grief they are responsible for that I endured. Otherwise U-Haul is sending out a message of we operate poorly and unprofessionally while taking your money in exchange for a service that's ineffective and unreliable and not dependable. Can someone contact me about this issue or I can contact corporate myself. Or I can have my civil rights attorney reach out to you on my behalf. This is unfair and quite unjust. One more reason I moved out of Philadelphia.

karen johnson | Overall ExperienceThe woman who assisted me did not show me my actual unit. She showed me a display unit. The display unit showed to me was a 5×10×10 but the actual unit rented was a 5×5×10. She never walked with me to view the unit. She never even showed me where to enter or how to use the entry key. I also rented a truck in that same moment to get my things to the storage. I explained that it was building materials and I hired some men to help load and unload the truck. I would be able to return the truck about 9p. Her response was no problem. As long as the truck is back on the lot by 7a I'd be fine. When I returned to the storage with a truck full of materials and men to unload at 7:30p both doors to access the building with my belongs were out of order and the alternative sliding door was locked. I was only able to enter the building by walking up steps and entering a single door which would not be an option to get my materials in the building. Once in, I texted the number they have listed for after hour help which to date I've not had a response from. I also pushed the security buttons to which no one answered. As I stood there trying to figure out other options my worker said maybe we can carry at least the tile to the unit. We head to my unit and this is when I see that I've been given a smaller unit then I was expected. I tried calling the 800 number but they couldnt help. They noted my account and apologized. It's now 9p. I'm stuck with a truck full of my stuff, a too small unit and no assistance to get in the build. I had to leave the truck with my belongings on the lot and return the next morning at 7a. When speaking the the man working behind the counter he said well the customers hit the doors and they break. There is nothing we can do about it. We have to wait for them to be repaired but we never know when that will happen. It's not our fault. I said all of that maybe true but if the worker who rented me the united explained these things I forsure would not have rented a truck that evening knowing I could not gain entry to bring my things in and honestly knowing that there is no assistance after 7p although you have until 10p to move your thing in and out I would not have wasted the money in hiring men or renting a truck. With the knowledge security is just video recording and no live person can be reached via the number provided or by pushing the security button, knowing that coupled with the doors to enter with your things are always broken with an infinite wait time for repair I WOULD NOT HAVE RENTED A UNIT FROM THIS PLACE. This is my first experience with storage through Uhaul and this set up is a stain on the Uhaul brand.

The one thing that could improve is traffic circulation and vehicle access to the storage area, but I know this is a compact location and that is challenging. Yesterday there was an employee helping to direct traffic in the lot and that was pretty helpful. Overall, I recommend this location!

I figured if I rented a unit that was big enough to hold my couch but the problem was that the hallway was too narrow outside of the unit. The elevator was also too small so we had to tilt the couch in the air.

In my haste and travel, I forgot I had to use a uhaul padlock which was required in addition to the insurance. Unfortunately I had inadvertently left the key to the padlock home. The staff was not very helpful and told me there wasn’t much they could do. I had to figure this out on my own and had to get a very expensive locksmith to break the lock . Just wish I would be able to use my own lock next time and wish for the staff to be more helpful during college move which is already a stressful time. Just wished I didn’t have to spend the extra money for the locksmith, which I didn’t have.

I would suggest checking to see if a 4 digit code was already in use by someone else before the same is assigned to another person causing lots of delays and issues. Was talking to a local that was an African American that says he has 5 units at this places right now since he buys them at auction and he even said those 3 woman are laughing at us right now since we are 2 white boys in the hood. I called in advance asking if we lost our keys to the unit, what would happen. The person on the phone said you pay a $50 and we cut it off. Thats it. I traveled over 3 hours away with that information for them to tell me they never said that and I would need to make an appointment. Which can't be done today. No help or anything. I then had to call all around for an emergency locksmith to come cut the lock off and get charged an emergency rate. Then your staff gave him a hard time when they found out he was cutting it off. Educate your employees on working with customers instead of sitting behind a desk not caring at all about them. Then when I finally get into my locker to move out, what do I find? A dead mouse in my Locker and your staff did not care at all when told about this. After this experience. I WILL NEVER use a uhaul product or storage service again.

One on a mirror and another on a box as I was opening. The house I moved from had been exterminated and the new house I just moved has been remodeled with brand new everything so im certainly not happy about seeing roaches in my belongings!!!! Also when I rented my 10x10 unit there is an giant pillar inside of the unit I was not made aware of this until after I had went to place my lock on the unit which resulted in me having to purchase another unit after seeing that the rest of my items would not fit due to this enormous pillar in the way taking up valuable square footage in the unit! This was very inconvenience!!! I wasn’t going to complain about the unit being as though my items were only stored for about 3 weeks but seeing these roaches have made me change my mind. I never have stored my belongings in a facility and had to deal with a pest problem upon collecting my things. This has been a horrible experience and I would not recommend this facility to anyone at all!!!

Employees Harrassed my staff(movers) first and then myself, And tried to make me pay a dumpster fee without a visible sign on or around dumpster. Altercation almost turned physical, because Management has a hard time communicating. Management has power issues and kept referring to the Uhual establishment as his own and he can do what he wants. Because of that, the employees are unprofessional and Management cant see it.

David Asker | First ImpressionsI can't say enough good things about Martin and his team -- I was very nervous about doing the auto tow but I knew right away that I was in good hand's when Martin started to set it up -- he was great and made me feel very confident about driving the uhaul with the auto tow. Everyone at this location was very nice when I was very stressed about my move - they were all patient and very helpful. I also really appreciated having the storage unit there, the ability to rent a dolly, and how clean and well-run the location was -- a real step up from other Uhaul locations I have used. In short -- I wish other businesses were as well run and I credit Martin for running this location so well. A good team starts at the top! I have already recommended this location to other residents at the building I left in Philly (The Isle) and told everyone how great u-haul was when they ask about my move. Thank you!
susan prekel | Overall ExperienceThe unit leaked Water. my son has water stains on his mattress, and in furniture. He notified an employee the day he emptied the storage unit. He should be reimbursed for damages.
Marie Araujo | Overall ExperienceI was not aware I wouldn’t have self storage access after hours when I first reserved my unit. Was very inconvenient having to take time off work to make sure I was at the facility before 4:30PM throughout the week. Other than that, great experience all around.

Haven’t had any bad experiences yet, but wish they were open longer or had access after hours. Closing at five can be hard to get things done especially on weekends.

The comfort of knowing our personal belongings were in a secure place gave us one less thing to worry about. So from the bottom of my heart I thank the crew at the Strawberry Mansion location.
