Also was a mix up on the time I picked up truck and was called about 4 times saying I was late with the truck when I had hours to go before the return. Also reserved the truck and was told it was another location when it wasn't. I'm sure it was because the system was down, but horrible experience. Maybe try to figure out a better way when the system shuts down.
Antoinette HThe follies I rented were good. The cargo van I rented: The good = it was clean and the staff were friendly. The bad = 1. its key had a broken unlock button. 2. There was an overhead light assembly hanging down. 3. I was overcharged for my rental. The receipt stated I went 86 miles. However, the apartment I am moving from is approximately 2 miles from the U-haul on SE 14th. The house I’m moving to is in between both place—approximately a mile to each. The gas station I stopped to add gas is also approximately a mile between each (it’s half a block south of the house). I only drove the van between the places mention. I only made three round trips between the house and the apartment. During the trip to return the van, I went two blocks out of the way to be able to gain a left-turn (south eastward) access to the often very busy Indianola Ave, which was part of the route to return the van, and, again, still only an approximate mile away. When acquiring the van, I was asked how many miles I would probably use it. I said twenty or less. In actuality, it was less than ten between the pickup time of 10:15 on Saturday, March 30th and the drop off time of Sunday, March 31st. Do you have gps records? Shawn NThe truck that i reserved a 26 ft.. had a check engine light on... when i spoke to the lady at the counter she told me it was just a sensor and that itd probably be fine... refused to give me one of the other 5, 26 ft trucks that was there.. told me that only thing she had available was a 20 ft truck.. this resulted in multiple trips... not happy about it... When i returned the 20ft truck the next morning... all 5 of the 26 ft trucks was still there none had moved.. even though the lady told me they had all been on reserve..

STEPHEN SI had the truck for an hour. We drove 13 miles total and got charged for 2 gallons of gas. I didn't even use two gallons of gas and still got charged for it.

Nichoelle DThe drop-off line was far too long. I was the only person there in the morning which leads me to believe they failed to do any check-ins the day before. Not only was the check in too long I was hanging out on the street with a trailer and they didn’t even offer to move the line forward for me to pull in. Additionally I had filled the tank to the required 5/8 and the scammed me and said my tank was only 1/2 full which they charged me an additional 8 gals of fuel cost. Very unprofessional and unacceptable considering the vehicle I was given was not performing well and the headlight wasn’t working.

Any chance any lower rate or refund. 24 hr rate and I had it for under 3 hr. I know if I went over I would get dinged or if someone came to rent it before my 24 hr time it would go out again? But then the computer went crazy with my reservation. He and his coworker (I didn't get her name) had to of troed over a dozen times before I was able to leave. They kept conversation fun and light hearted making the wait and malfunctioning technology bearable.

Jessica MThey told us the vehicle was full of gas. When we got in it was three quarters. Then they tried to say that we drove a hundred and twenty miles. We drove 60. We filled the gas tank to above 3/4. They did Credit as two gallons. $8.50. Call the manager. She finally did credit us down to 60 miles. But I haven't seen the refund yet.
Shonna LThe second time I had to rent a truck I had the rental all set and paid for but when I went to pick up the truck I was given completely different amounts and totals so I called the number I had called to set it up then all of a sudden they had the same info that I had been given so not sure what was going on with that but made me wonder if they simply didn't know their business or was trying to pull one on me. Also just my own opinion; you are offered free month rental on a storage unit but if you already have a storage unit you don't get a month rental free. That just doesn't seem fair.

Rich D | Overall ExperienceDON'T LET CUSTOMERS RESERVE TRUCK PICK UP AND DROP OFF LOCATIONS IF YOU REFUSE TO LET US PICK UP AND DROP OFF AT THOSE LOCATIONS!!!! Uhaul is great at telling you to drive an extra 40 minutes to pick up a truck even though you reserved one at a different location. Then, they might not let you drop it off at your RESERVED location, instead asking you to drive even further, pay for more miles and gas, to return the truck to a different location on the day you're MOVING, which is the whole point of getting a uhaul. Y'all need to redo your system, seriously frustrating stuff
David WWould have been nice to know where to put the truck when I came back. I had to move it from where it was after I went inside. They told me a 20 minute wait but then a guy cane out and check me out.
LARRY WThe people who checked me in and out were helpful and friendly. The truck did not have a dolly or blankets. It worked ok, but was very scraped up on outside. The lot was crowded and undersized...not as bad as Merle Hay location, but not nearly as good as Waukee store.

One day I was in back of my full unit when my extension cord got unplugged and thrown down and then my cries for help went unanswered. I was all alone in my dark unit with zero light. I was immediately worried of beaking a leg or falling on something. I'll never come back to this one. I also had gotten that unit because I wanted climate control and they put me on the side that wasn't.

Oh not to mention 1535 was given first it was already rented but I went off YOUR WEBSITE about the size and there is NO WAY that size is a 1 bedroom. All I got was an apology not good enough. I'm canceling my unit and finding a new unit with a different company. Only good thing was they discount the desposit when I picked it up my truck.

When the current manager called me and told me that it was still there, waived the month between when I was told it was gone and when he was reviewing records, and made it very easy for me to continue the lease. If not for him I may have lost several momentos and personal items that are important to me. Clean out was easy and it was quick getting out of the store after. Overall its been a good experience. No signs of anyone trying to get into the units, it was tyically clean and quiet inside.
