While the customer service was great, the equipment was sub-standard based on my previous rentals. The backup camera on the van was not working, there were broken parts on the interior of the van, spider webs on the driver side belt return, and the digital functions on the van kept resetting and we could never get them to work properly. For a van with about 13k miles on it, it had been definitely used pretty hard.

I was taken to a different location a flower shop of Nancy at first very horrible no one there and I should be receiving my $50 certificate along side with a $31 decrease from my payment of $64 because I brought the gas tank back on 1/4 as i had got it on 1/8 aside from so I only use 17 miles and was charged for 20 so another $4.17 is supposed to go back in my card . so to say $81 should be getting refunded $50 from U-Haul itself and $35 from the U-Haul place

Please have your SO. VERMONT MANAGER, research a nearby location that has the equipment that I need!ed! I have a 5x5 space with mostly clothes & he supposedly only had those 15FOOTERS; I paid all of that extra money for wasted space.....! I don’t have money to BURN like that!... Don't force people to use the APP to order truck/equipment, the APP takes up too much time, people are standing around trying to tap in with their phones and are stuck. The APP end up not working after spending so much time. Don't take jobs away from people to depend on electronics. The Sales person had to stop and help me any way. This is also not good for people who are not tech savvy.

We were forced to use the app to check in and pick up the trucks. The app was glitchy and had to be reloaded several times to complete the process. I needed help from the worker at the counter the finish checking in on the app. It took about thirty minutes to pick up a truck even when I had a reservation and all my info was already in the system.it was a frustrating experience and made me think about whether I will continue using uhual.

Reserved a furniture dolly and it wasn’t available when I picked up the truck. They stated it’s available when someone else returns it. Price quoted for rental 55.00 plus mileage , cost me over 200. Also told I could reserve the truck with my credit card, and put my brothers name down for the one picking it up. Well when he arrived he had to redo rental agreement and put his card up.

The representative at this location has zero clue what customer service is. Mr. Serrano I believe his name is, is extremely rude and arrogant, he did not help me get what I needed instead I feel like after I explained to him how bad I needed the truck he made me spend more money than what I was planning to spend. I would never recommend this location a friend, in fact, I wouldn’t recommend to use this company at all.

I showed up at 15 minutes before closing and the gentleman in the office and the man outside was very helpful a d friendly and patient and fast with my service request and I have no complaints in the customer service I received and their manners were at the most friendly even at the fact of it being almost closing time and I was grateful not to be turned down and or recieve any rude manners. There is no elevator. It was a nightmare walking all the way to the back of the building and back and forth up stairs with furniture. Needing this storage unit was a last minute situation for me so it was my only option. The place was clean and the staff was nice but I would not recommend anyone who is moving a house full of furniture to this location. There were plenty of things I could have moved myself, but due to the stairs, I had to spend more money and hire more people to assist with the move.

This location needs improvement in customer service. Staff was demanding my husband “you need to hurry up and let me know because I gotta go home” while he was talking to me on the phone getting clarification on the reservation. She repeatedly told him that at least 3-4 times while I was on the phone with him. Process was fine (although no lock was provided, compared to the one we have in Long Beach) but customer service was poor.

Sent a lean notice email after 4 days late and not a late notice, but a lean notice. After 10 plus years of having the storage unit the new owners have very poor business practices at this location. That’s why I replied I was going to close my account and leave. The very next month I did just what I said ! I closed my account and left to another company all together. Then You charge me more than my receipt listed. You don’t provide enough stairs to get in my unit, we had to wait some time over 30 minutes after the person was done using it which set our time back. Hopefully I get retro for the unit I was paid up-to 2/20/23 but left sooner because of the business practices.

Even though the facility as a whole was well lit, the storage unit I received had no light inside. There was also a rat trap in the unit. The door hedge must have been loose as it took 2 people to lock the door as 1 person needed to hold the bottom of the door up and the other person then could latch the lock closed. Also, during my signing of the contract it was not stated that I would have to keep my property in the unit for a entire month otherwise I would not get any money back from the weeks I didn't use. I prepaid on August 16 and moved my property on August 27 which is not even 2 weeks time of using the unit. When I asked Uhaul customer service to have a file opened to explain to the manager Luis on 8/27, I never got a call from him. I called customer service back on 8/31 and they said in their notes the manager said he actually spoke to me. This is beyond ridiculous and extremely unprofessional. I will never use a Uhaul service as long as I live and at every opportunity I will continue to share how horrible my experience was with this particular facility. I paid my rental on or before the date due every month I rented and it's a shame Luis thinks good business is stealing from good customers.

I got to the storage facility, checked in online, received my unit number and someone else’s lock was still on the unit so I didn’t have access to it. No one on-site had a key to unlock the unit so I had to book somewhere else.

The initial process of renting the unit was a but stressful as the staff member informed me that myself and another party reserved the same storage unit. Unsure how the system allowed that but they did. Since the other party reserved 30 min before me, they had first option to the unit. This was frustrating for me as my truck was there and ready to unload and they didn't appear to have their storage on site. In the end they opted to get a smaller unit and I was able to keep the unit I reserved but that was still a stressful experience. I also was not aware there were no elevators in the facility. Overall, I give the staff a 4 for trying their best to accommodate me, but the facility gets a 3 for no elevator and the unit not being the cleanest.

To clarify my one no answer the facility was secure but my particular unit was unit didn’t have any lights. Other than that everything was great, I appreciate the staff being friendly and the facility being clean!

U-HAUL location is the worst. No Freight elevator to carry heavy objects. So you have to carry everything to her narrow path up the stairs. I do not understand why the large store spaces are on the second floor where people with large items going into those spaces need a freight elevator.

I was so disappointed in the service.!!!! I would NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE INTO THAT CAODIC UNORGANIIZED MESS.! The staff there need #1 PANDEMIC, #2 CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING ASAP.!! Their business skills suck.!! If there was a minus 10 on the ratings that would sum it up. I made reservations with Fernando th day before I came in. I made it in last Sunday about 4:10pm, Matthew was working inside by hisself with no apparent concern for time until 4:30pm. He said he saw our reservation, but couldn't access it and if he couldn't access it in 10 minutes we'd have to come back tomorrow because he was off at 5pm and had somewhere else to be. We asked for a supervisor and was told there's no supervisor for that store. My son ask who do you report to.? We were told our store manager, but he's off on Sundays. We ask Matthew to call him because this situation warranted higher authority. He called Luis and told him the situation, because our Uhaul truck rental was round trip and was due back to Long Beach Uhaul by 7pm. Luis spoke with my son who explained our situation. Luis told my son he wouldn't be in until 7am Monday. Matthew spoke with Luis and explained the what the situation was on his end. We ask Matthew if he had tech support to help. Matthew said he wasn't trained in that area. Luis said he would call us right back in a few minutes and explain to my son what to do next. Luis called back, but seems from the conversation he and Matthew where not on the same page. Matthew said Luis didn't want to speak to us he told Matthew what to tell us.. We had to keep the Uhaul overnight. Our son, our, his help and my husband had to unload this 20 foot truck, because everything that was going to storage was loaded last blocking our bed, our clothes, everything we needed for home. I called customer service and explained the issue he took a complaint gave me references numbers and forwarded messages to the both stores managers in regards to our issues. I was told I'd would be contacted within 72hours We went back the next day and it was clear that these young men are children with NO APPROPRIATE TRAINING FOR THIS AREA OF BUSINESS. THEY HAVE NO VERRBAL SKILLS .WE ASK A QUESTION AND THEY'D SHAKE THEIR HEAD YES OR NO. THEY WHERE WEARING THEIR FACE MASK UNDER THEIR NOSE LIKE IT WAS AN ACCESSORY TO THEIR OUTFIT. NOT ONCE DID THEY USE THE HAND SANITIZER. AND THEY WHERE TOUCHING THEIR FACE,SCRATCHING THEIR NOSE OR FACE, TOUCHING THE KEYBOARD, THE DOORS, COUNTERS, CHAIRS YOU NAME IT. IT WOULDN'T SURPRISE ME IF THAT ENTIRE STORE CONTRACTED AND UNKNOWINGLY EXPOSED OTHERS TO COVID-19 AND THAT'S THE SAD PART. IT'S BEEN A WEEK I WAS TOLD I'D RECEIVE A FOLLOW UP CALL IN 72 HOURS. DIDN'T HAPPEN. MY SON HAD TO LEAVE WORK EARLY TO GET TO THE UHAUL ON VERMONT AND BACK TO LONG BEACH IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC BY 7PM. I WAITED TO COMPLETE THIS SURVEY TO SEE IF I WOULD CALM DOWN AND HAVE A BETTER OUT LOOK ON THE SITUATION. THIS UHAUL STORE MAKE ME SICK AND IF IT WHERE ANYTHING LESS THAN POOR IT WOULD SUM IT UP THE SERVICE WE RECEIVED ON EVERY TIME I'VE COME TO THIS STORE. I THOUGHT ABOUT THE SERVICE I RECEIVED 3 YEARS AGO WAS A ISOLATED INCIDENT, BUT. NO THIS IS HOW YOU OPERATE. UNPROFESSIONAL AND NO SKILLS IN THIS LINE OF BUSINESS IS PUTTING IT MILDLY.!!! I'D RATHER DO BUSINESS WITH THE HOMELESS PEOPLE THAT SLEEP AROUND YOUR BULIDING THEN WITH THE STAFF THERE. THREE YEARS AGO I RENTED A STORAGE UNIT SAME FOOLISHNESS. NO KEY CARDS TO GET IN, HAD TO COME BACK THE NEXT DAY BECAUSE THE SUPERVISOR KNEW WHERE THEY WERE KEPT. THEY FORGOT TO TELL ME I NEEDED A LOCK TO SECURE OUR STORAGE, THEY HAD TO COME BACK UNLOCK SELL ME A PADLOCK. THEY LEFT US STANDING OUTSIDE THE STORAGE, DIDN'T ASK IF WE UNDERSTOOD WHAT WE WERE DOING. THE MORE QUESTIONS I ASKED THE FASTER THEY GOT OUT OF THERE. THE MORE I DO BUSINESS WITH YOU THE MORE I UNDERSTAND HOW YOU OPERATE. THE ATTITUDE OF THE STAFF IS TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT. IT'S YOUR CHOICE. BUSINESS AS USUAL. IF YOU FIND A MOMENT PLEASE REACH OUT TO ME WITH A CALL. I'D LIKE TO HEAR YOUR SIDE.

Customer service is horrible... workers are young & immature, never answers the phone & left me waiting on lobby for almost an hour...when I expressed my anger & frustration a female worker threatened to fight me...prices are high & units are not clean , I’m only choosing to tuff it out because it’s a convenient by distance to my home.. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone...

In recent years it has been very hard to reach this location by phone directly. That’s fine it you are paying for storage.

The facility was disgustingly dirty, I got half way into moving my stuff in when I notice a cockroach the size of my palm. Then I began to notice dead roaches all through out the facility. I was charged when I wasn’t supposed to be for my first month and I had to extend my rental reservation and move all of my belongings out of your storage because it was not properly maintained for users. Beyond disappointing and an incredibly stressful day. Also, the young man didn’t know how to do his job. He had to call his manager every five minutes. He was helpful and assured me I should not be charged for my extended reservation and I will be refunded fully for the unit I do not have. But as such a large company you really should have better systems in place for your locations to run smoothly. Today was a serious joke.
