The lady attitude sucks for customer help and I should not have to come in and out of the office twice and stand in line to basically tell her how to do her job to make sure my account is closed so I don’t get billed. To wrap it up I basically just didn’t like the ladies attitude for something so simple!!!!!

There was no lockbox to retrieve the key from, and there was no drop box to return the key to. Had to go inside for both. Also, I didn’t realize that I had to use the app and not the website for picking up the rental. Very confusing.

KURTINA JEnsure the truck is properly inspected and ready for the next customer, including a reasonable amount of gas in the tank to accommodate a reasonable local move. Don’t require the customer to do the work of staff to check in the vehicle, including carrying furniture pads to the garage, unless expressly required by the contract.

Paul TIt is hard to put into words how bad the experience of renting from this location is. This place is a disaster of epic proportions. To start, the facility is poorly maintained. There were multiple times when the elevator was not functional. I had a second floor unit storing large/heavy pieces of artwork. I spent countless unnecessary hours lugging pieces one at a time up and down the stairs instead of using a cart and moving a dozen at a time because the elevator was seemingly broken 50% of the time. It is often really difficult to find carts at the location. One of the exterior bay doors is badly damaged and hasn’t functioned for the last 2 months so only one interior loading bay is working. Thus is super annoying when you’re trying to move things out of your unit during January when it’s 5 degrees outside. The exterior card reader to disarm units has been broken for several months. There were times when I literally couldn’t get into the facility if the main office was closed. In general the service level provided by the employees is unbelievably poor - to call most of them incompetent is an insult to the word incompetent. Incompetent would be an upgrade in performance for this crew. Most of them act as if you’re inconveniencing them if you dare to ask them to pretend to do their job. I would whole-heartedly embrace incompetence over the complete dysfunctionality of the current staff. To top it off, I’ve been in the office multiple times when employees were extremely sick and figuratively hacking up their lungs. Literally only one person that I dealt with out of about 15 was capable of doing their job at a minimum acceptable level. As I emptied my large unit I requested moving to the one next door with a green “ready for new occupant” sticker on it - I talked to several employees and they told me that unit was currently occupied even though it wasn’t. So then I had to move everything to another unit far away, yet another waste of my time. Then they messed up the transfer of my unit - I expressly told them to auto-charge my card on file, but their gross incompetence ensured that - of course - they messed that up and I ended up with a late fee because they didn’t set up the bill pay as I requested. I closed out the unit on March 3rd. No doubt I will get a Late Payment reminder in a few weeks because I’m sure they messed up the closeout just like they did everything else over the last 15 months.

alpha sThe truck was so far away, I thought that the employees would bring the truck to the front door so that I can inspect the truck and then they would direct me to the app so that I could inspect the truck through the app. However none of these steps were taken. I had to call to speak with a representative to get directed to the proper app. Then when it came to dropping the truck back off, my truck was never checked in. I should have not had to go out of my way to call then to go on site and reach out for them to check my truck out. That was ridiculous especially since I had done it through the app.

Jennifer EMy 17’ van (unit EL1173C) was muddy in the box area, the pass side wiper blade looks to have been vandalized (exposed metal structure) and the interior reeked of pot. This unit had 170+K miles showing, and the front end was a disaster. Front tires were cupped and steering/handling on the interstate was a white-knuckle affair. The truck would not hold a straight line. On the plus side, the engine/trans/brakes were surprisingly in good running condition. I ordered 4 sets of ‘blankets’ and one bag had moisture/condensation on the inside of the bag, hence it was not useable. When in line returning the unit and picking up a printed receipt, there was a woman in line, in front of me, wanting to pay cash for a storage bill. She was told that U-Haul won’t accept cash! It was a $172 tab, and you won’t take cash! WTF kind of business won’t take cash??? Overall, a bit disappointed.

I would suggest a overnight access schedule if at all possible but overall it was a great experience.

I would say as well that more guided directions on where to return towing equipment would be useful. I wasn’t sure if is should drop in the equipment return lane (which was on a slope) or drop in and empty parking space.

She was very snappy with me on the phone I had to tell her she don't have to be nasty, I'm not being nasty and she don't have to talk to me like that. She if I want to get to the Unit I better be there before 8pm. She did my Son like that so he told her he can talk to her like she's talking to him. Finally she let him give her all the info for the reservation then she calm down and start acting like the respectful person she can be. Maybe it was a hard day for her I don't know but her attitude need to be check

cris wThe trailer I rented from this location was well worn. The rep who assisted me did not properly check the lights before I left. I found later that night that the running lights did not work on the trailer. This left me in a tough spot as I had no choice but to drive home without lights. I asked for a refund or partial credit when I returned the trailer but was told I should have contacted roadside assistance.

Mohamed TLamar lied to me about the third unit and told me it was going to be free because I had the other 2 units and I ended up still paying for the third unit, which was not in my budget, and I had to eventually find someplace to put all the things in the long run anyway. So, no I will not refer anyone to this U-Haul. Overall, Lamar knows he lied to me because all the messages I left for him and all the times I came up there to talk to him he avoided me, THATS POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. By then all my stuff was in the units and I had no choice but to leave it there.

After speaking with a representative, I found it disturbing that a customer could vacate a unit and not receive any money back while the same unit could be leased to another individual for the full amount, having paid U-Haul 2 times for the same space and time frame. Ingenious.

I then called corporate to make sure it was closed out, I wasn’t charged further and removed my card from autopay. The only complaint I have about the storage is how long it took to process my move out. I think it is to try to charge people more. I hope they don’t charge me further. If so, I will claim fraud with my credit card company.

This was a result of me losing all of my personal items in the auction. I moved out of state and my first year was very hard financially. I contacted Uhaul and much as possible, hardly ever being contacted to the actual store. I was never helped in a pleasant customer service way. I was locked out of my storage a few times due to system failure. Their were always lots of spider webs in the unit and it never had a light for me to see well to remove items.

The staff didn't tell me it wasn't working and I went to the front desk about seven times before someone finally told me my card would never check me in and I would just have to deal with the alarm. It's loud and scary. Will not recommend this place to anyone.

On the day we rent the unit, we’re told by manager it is not available and we’d have to take 2 or 3 smaller units each at regular price. Luckily a storage service women named Dewana was very pleasant and de-escalated the situation. She politely explained why the unit we reserved was not available and said on Monday she would call me to offer a bundled price on 2 units for the inconvenience. Unfortunately U-haul doesn’t have the system or scale to notify customers in advance when their reserved until is not available.

The new space was sanitized (COVID guidelines) and I felt safe during moving from one space to another as well.

There are 3 stations in which they can help customers.... 1- should be for product purchases, 2- could be servicing customers with reservations and unit check in/out, and 3- customers with questions,etc., 2 & 3 should be able to toggle back & forth to accommodate and make the lines move faster. Please ... teach your employees to be courteous & helpful and wear name tags so that patrons know to whom they spoke with and who to report to management so that they may be held accountable for their actions or lack of, good or bad. I only had two occasions in I had to deal with the staff. Checking in and closing out my unit. Both were equally as frustrating! Thank you!
