This store will fraudulently overcharge you in every way possible by: 1) overestimating the fuel level and underrating the mileage out 2) overcharging for mileage on the return 3) overcharging for additional fuel beyond the contract agreement 4) charging a $25 cleaning fee when returned in the same condition Furthermore, the staff did not provide the User Instructions as specified in the contract and simply gave me the keys and a copy of the Equipment Contract which I was never asked to sign. I didn't sign it! I was charged $27.98 in additional fees beyond the Estimated Total Charges even though I drove fewer miles than the estimate stated. I had left my phone charger in the truck the night I returned it and called as soon as I realized while I was still in the parking lot. The corporate representative assured me she would relay the message to the store directly. I called the store twice during open hours the following day and they did not answer. When I went in the store this evening, they did not have my phone charger. I asked for a printout of the charges and the owner refused to discuss it with me. He ordered me to leave the store and was extremely rude. Be assured I will contest the additional charges and have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. The employees didnt say hi or greet me when l said hello guys, they were chit chatting and using swear words several times before helping me while l stood there awkwardly quiet, seemed very unprofessional to be honest. They loudly complaining about the computer equipment also. Must be more professional there.

This is the BEST UHaul Rental Station I have ever experienced in my LIFE-TIme. Their "over the counter customer service" is the most efficient I have ever witnessed. The "LOT personel" are quick and safety conscious. Dropping off a piece of equipment is easy, quick and simple. The Hitch installation STATION and "Lighting garage" is always on top of their job, THE BEST IN THE USA. They always remember my name. I worked for a large Uhaul Station in Oklahoma in 1968. I know how much there is to do to keep customers happy and equipment moving. ~ JD. Moore

Couple of the staff are polite, but not very helpful. Rest of them are rude and will rip you off. If you can avoid this location, do it at all cost. If not, make sure they scan the returned equipment right in front of you. Otherwise, like others have said down below, they'll charge you for extra days/mileage/fuel. Don't let them get away with "just leave the keys in the vehicle and we'll take care of it".

This location is sabotaging U-Haul's reputation. Couple of the staff are polite but not very helpful. Rest of the are rude and unhelpful. If you can avoid this location, do it at all cost. If not, make sure they scan the returned equipment right in front of you. Otherwise, they'll charge you for extra days/mileage/fuel. Very accommodating and extremely helpful but overextended staff. One customer svc. rep during busy time of day meant LONG line and waiting time of at least half an hour. Understaffed. Given the extreme competition in the immediate area, this is not great management. Since most problems with wiring trailers is about 70% fuse failure (said your svc. rep), you need a more complete inventory of fuses. I had a burnt fuse and had to unhook trailer, drive 2 miles to auto parts store for a new fuse, another 1/2 hr. wasted. Trailer worked fine.

After years of using U Haul, successfully, I have had a particularly stressful experience. A few days after returning the vehicle I discovered I was charged for cleaning $25 and wrong destination charge. I specifically requested the Santa Rosa Avenue drop off location (where I dropped it off) and the truck was not dirty. I was repeatedly told when I asked for an attendant to check me in that there was no necessity to do that and so I left Later, when I disputed the additional $145+ charges, I was given the runaround and finally was told I had made the reservation on line (which was untrue) and was responsible for the mistake. I had made the arrangements at the location where I picked up the truck. I will not use U Haul ever again and encourage everyone to be very wary if they choose to use them.

When picking up a vehicle the online reservation code had expired, presenting the reservation number I was told the reservation wasn't in the system, despite having a registration number in hand. The staff resolved this, only to provide me with the incorrect vehicle. I got a van, but the number did not match the paperwork at dropoff and the amount of gas on the paperwork was incorrect. The drop-off (at another location) took far too long due to the incorrect vehicle.

The customer service rep, Elijah Horton, worked exceptionally well for being the ONLY person working. There were many impatient customers but he worked as quickly as possible while still maintaining good customer service and making sure I had all the information I needed.

Truck was not in good condition, the bed of the truck was soaking wet, and the radio/clock was broken. Worse yet, I was charge for a two day rental when I only used one day!

We asked to rent a dolly and were told to take our paperwork outside and give it to one of the three people working outside to get the dolly for us. When we went outside, there were 2 men talking together and as we were looking around, they saw us and never said one word. In fact, they moved a little further away. I walked over and approached them. It wasn’t that they were mean or unkind, it’s that they were not proactive in helping me at all. No one said, can I help you? It was like I was interrupting them. I asked the one where to get a dolly and he pointed to the truck with the ramp and a bunch of dollies. I said, oh I just go and get one, and he said yes. I asked him about which one would be best and he pointed to the one he thought would be best for furniture and told me why. I walked up into the truck which felt weird and grabbed the heavy dolly that he didn’t offer to help with. I thought it was a liability thing and that he wasn’t supposed to help us. I was confused. I went to bring it to my husband and he said, no that’s not the one I want. He asked me if he should go and get it himself. I said that’s that what the man told me. There was one man outside by a truck. My husband went back and walked up the ramp but the top of the truck was pulled down, the part that you close, and he bashed his head into it. There was a woman coming out that saw and she asked him how he was and mentioned it to one of the other men that was out there. Nobody did anything. Mark grabbed the dolly. No one asked to help. They were clearly clueless. I went inside to talk to the gentleman that helped me book the truck and the first thing he said was well we didn’t tell you to go up there and get your own dolly. Instead of asking how my husband was. I told him that I was told to go get my own dolly from a young man. He was unkind and rude about it and showed no compassion whatsoever and took no responsibility. He said something like they were probably too busy. It was not a busy day and all three of the people that were supposed to be helping outside we’re roaming around talking about how cold it was and going in and out of the shop. I told him it was simple customer service. If this ever happens and someone falls or hurts themselves really badly, Uhaul should expect a law suit.

They over charged me. It was corrected the manager at this location thinks he is the king no empathy a true narcissist. You had a older gal that was fired that was there for year he was gunning for her. Very sad to see her go. This guy does not no business just domination tactics of his help Keep you eyes open for another Manager! I love UHaul!

Terrible experience. We missed our move in date because they screwed up our reservation. At drop off we were told to go to one place and when we arrive they don’t have room to take truck or cargo. Had to waste a lot of miles and money and time because uhaul kept screwing up. Finally after I did my own calling around to uhaul locations for the drop off I found the location in Tustin to be helpful but the entire experience was a nightmare working with the back office uhaul customer service and worse the pick up locations general manager was not helpful and made us miss our move date. We had to pay extra to stay at our apartment so we could wait for uhaul pick up to sort out our reservation and they never did. I once again had to call around myself to work it all out so we had 4 different locations and only 1, Tustin, was ever helpful.

The trailer had one tire that had low air pressure, that I didn't notice until I had the load on. I tried to drive slowly to a gas station, but the tire came off the rim. I called your emergency number. I was told to move the trailer to a safe location. I did that, and then waited for a call back. The first call back took about 20 min. they couldn't find someone to bring a new wheel. the second call back took about 30 min, they sent a tow truck that was not able to tow the trailer with a "car dolly" that obviously wouldn't work, so it left. I called back and got another person who started "working on it". I told him that I would wait another 30 minutes and then unhook the trailer and leave it. I never heard back. The next morning I went to the store, and they put me back on the phone with "emergency" because they didn't have a spare wheel. After 20 minuets of redundant information, she suddenly said that the tire had been replaced...so I drove back to the trailer and hooked up and made it to my destination. It took me about three hours longer than my reservation "return time, so I figure that I should not be charged a "courtesy" fee, in fact, I think that I should be entitled to a refund, for wasting my time and making me waste another day

Manager is very rude. I accidentally filled the tank . Talk to manager he said file lawsuit in court. Very rude. I have been using uhaul for more than 10 yrs but this is my first experience. I wander why this kind of rude manager hire by uhaul.

I submitted my order online to "save time". We were the second customer in the store. We had to wait for our truck to be loaded with the accessories we ordered. There was no furniture dolly so I had to purchase one. It would be a benefit to have the trucks you know are going out the next day ready for pick up.

I moved premium con heart 4S redwood in the trailer - if you know what that is you know that this is clean high grade lumber that produces nothing that could make the trailer dirty - the trailer was dirty when I received it and was returned in the exact same condition yet I was charged a cleaning fee. Also when I returned the trailer I ran into an employee named Wes who was a jerk about where I left the trailer - he was off work and offered no solutions just a snarky complaint - if you want the trailers put in a certain place when dropped off let people know that.

I was frustrated with the truck I rented. It took me 30 minutes to fill it with $60 worth of gas because the filler kept triggering the gas nozzle off. I had to trickle the gas into the tank to prevent the nozzle from popping off no matter how I positioned the nozzle.
