Jesse at the front desk was excellent, very helpful. The whole process was super easy.

Paige GThe van rental mobile check-in experience was horrible. The app would not allow me to check in at all, and had to go inside. It kept telling me to call for assistance. The rental reservation receipt and website both stated a major credit card or debit card with major brand was needed for the rental. When I presented my debit card I was told we needed a credit card, which we didn’t have. Had to bring in my son and use his card and add him to the reservation. Then with the storage unit, we had purchased our own lock but was told we had to have a round lock so had to purchase that from you as well. Finally, we had requested a furniture dolly on the move-in reservation and we were told all they had was an appliance dolly. Despite these issues Clerk Jesse G was wonderful, friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to assist. He explained everything very well and took good care of us.

Gerald tI had a trailer hitch installed at this location. The invoice included a "Towstart with 2" ball". Before picking up the vehicle, I realized that I had one from a previous trailer, so I brought it and asked them to deduct theirs from the bill. No problem, they did it. Then when I saw the low clearance of the trailer I was renting, I asked them if they could flip the ball to the higher side. The man took it to the back and came back in 10 seconds and said - nope, this is rusted, we can't do it. Well, the towstart was NOT rusted. It had a little bit of brownish on it from sitting in my garage. I asked if I could borrow a wrench to do it myself. Nope! We can't let you do that. End of story, I had to go home, get my wrench and flip the ball, then go to the job that I rented the trailer for. My takeaway is that Uhaul was punishing me for bringing my own ball. They had my money, now they couldn't take 5 minutes to flip the ball, all they wanted was for me to go away. They have a beautiful new facility, but their customer care is pathetic.

Anthony CEverything went well. However, I do have one complaint. The parking available for people accessing their lockers is very poor. There are only a few spaces and two of those have a pronounced slant downwards making loading and unloading difficult. Thank you.

Leslea MStaff told me to fill up the gas tank after use when I picked up the truck, which I did before returning it, but they still charged me for gas (I’ve pictures of the gas tank and the receipt from the gas station). After complaining about the gas charge, I was told that nothing could be done. I asked to talk to the manager, but staff said that they could not call the manager because “he did not answer earlier.” I had to insist for the employee to finally call the manager, which he finally did. The manager picked up the phone promptly and tried to find a solution with the employee. As they did not find a solution, the employee was directed to leave a note to the manager to deal with the problem. Im still waiting for the manager to do something Overall, I’m very disappointed by the lack of professionalism of the staff, will not rent again from that place if nothing is done.
Loic VJust a suggestion: Make available "non-smoking" vehicles. I had to make a 5-day, 2200-mile cross-country trip in a truck that had been smoked in. Not pleasant for me.
Ken KThe wait time to get the uhaul was very long. I opted for the app check-in and that failed. It wasn’t clear where the check-in was for the app or how to proceed. I stopped at the storage units by mistake. The signage could be improved. Overall the store was tidy, the worker was kind and personable.

john jThe advertised rate was not honored. I was told it is because I have another unit. Very disappointed in not getting the free month if renting a truck. Know now that U-Haul doesn’t honor all its advertising. At least at that location. That said, the facility is well kept and people are nice. I still like the place, just disappointed in not getting the advertised rate.

That's ridiculous and I'm pissed. So I had to rent it for a whole another day because that's basically what I was being charged for. You guys should really go back to being humans and people and treating people like people and a half an hour doesn't f****** matter and it makes me not like your company anymore

This is the first time I have rented a storage unit and only needed it for 2 months. *Maybe* the prices are high compared to other places in Santa Fe? Totally worth it, it is a great value because the facility is new, CLEAN, well-lit, has security features that made me confident my stuff was safe and more importantly, that I was safe there. I have also rented vans here twice and the experience was easy and pleasant. Staff were great with all in-person interactions, which were minimal for me because everything worked as it was supposed to/ was as it should be. The owner Jerry works along side his employees doing all the "regular" stuff: checking people in, answering the phone, pulling up the rental truck for you. Humble, kind and competent guy.
Erika V | Overall ExperienceI paid $162 through auto pay on October 30th for the month of November. Due to unforseen circumstances, I vacated the unit on November 6th, and moved to Albuquerque. The manager said no Uhaul company reimburses for the unused portion of the month. This is a lot of $ to me and seems to be a ridiculous policy. Security at this building was laughable. The drive in garage doors always showed a red light but no one was parked there. They rarely shut, even when my vehicle was fully in inside. If anyone was coming out, the doors automatically open and anyone can come in. If a unit was opened under these circumstances, an alarm sounded for maybe 15 seconds, but no employee ever responded. The process of having to swipe in at two different spots, and having to swipe in again each time you went out, was confusing and a hassle. Not being able to drive up to your unit was also a hassle. Bottom line is this facility is WAY OVERPRICED and not worth the money.

Three separate interactions and every time the staff and facilities were outstanding. Everyone I dealt with was professional, attentive and a joy to work with. It’s good to know professionalism and great customer service skills still exist on n the world. Wish the entire Santa Fe team could be duplicated across all industries and businesses. If they’re the norm across U-Haul that’s great! U-Haul should try and teach other companies how to do it. If the Santa Fe team is an exception they should become role models for the rest of the company locations!

Maria M | Overall ExperienceIn my opinion, this facitily is next generation storage. Convenient, clean with built in security. (I accidently set off/tested the alarm, oops.) The only thing I would have wished for is someone there to keep the crews from monopolizing all the carts and blocking the entrance, but we managed just fine. I won't downgraded you for it because the quality of tennants is much better than your average storage facility.

Also, another customer said there had been flooding recently in the area we are renting. I was not told of any flooding and I would like to know what was done to repair that so it doesn't happen again. The key card did not work to open the outside bathroom door and gave an error message. We appreciated the free carts and indoor bathrooms and our unit is clean. It could use better lighting above.

I didn't know I could pay my storage online with the UHAUL account I created for renting trucks. Andrea and Jerry are very wonderful and helpful. I rented for 4 months and the first month was free. The only thing I didn't like is that one of the parking spots in front is on a slant, which makes it awkward to park, load and unload. I never used that spot. I like the key card system for extra security. I like the moving carts; they also have mattress moving carts. The only reason I left was because a garage opened up at my apartments.

She got me into a 5x10, which turned out to be perfect. Andrea took me my new storage space, in the windy cold, and she explained the key card security system and the lock I needed for my unit. I accidentally broke some glass and we called the office for help. Adam came to help us clean up the glass. I really appreciate that. He reminded me to run the security card to leave the unit. I feel my possessions are very safe here.
