Odometer reading was wrong and when returned they charged us for driving almost 400 miles when we only went 44. The truck was only out for 3 hours, to drive this many miles in 3 hours is physically impossible. Will change my review if dispute is resolved, so far all I have is "you signed a legal contract".

The whole process was flawless from beginning to end. The office staff was courteous and professional. Alexandra and Donald are two of the best in the business. The location is handy as well. Access to the units and elevators is easy. The website links to people that can load and/or unload, and G & B was the business we chose. They were incredibly good as well. You will be glad if you choose this team.

This was a horrible experience. I will be filing an official complaint. I had to take my daughter to the urgent care do to a rash she got on her body from possible chemicals or pet feces,or urine. The condition or the rental we were provided was unacceptable.

Don helped me at this location and not only was he kind but was considerate and super helpful. Was trying to line up a timeframe to pick up furniture and when I called the truck was still in use by another client. He confirmed with the person renting it the time that they'd be dropping it off and called me back once he'd confirmed they'd be bringing it back so I could plan accordingly and called me back shortly after id spoken with him to advise the time of return. The young lady there was very nice, thorough, and quick as well. Both were super helpful throughout the process-and Don helped me once before providing the same great experience as this visit. Thank you folks!

The personnel managing this U-Haul location are fantastic! Always helpful and super professional. I would highly recommend either their storage or use of rental equipment. Even if you have to drive out of your way, it’s worth the peace of mind!!

We use a truck from this location each year for our annual fundraiser gala to move items from the event location at the Orlando Lake Mary Marriott back to our campus 1055 AAA Drive, then return the truck after, a distance of approximately 9 to 10 miles total. The approximation I gave on pick up was 15 to be safely in that range. I received my paid invoice via email, the mileage we were billed for was 30 miles, I believe the mileage must have been misread either at pick up of drop off. I tried call the location but was redirected to customer service, they said they would review and get back to me, waiting on that response.

- Driver side sun visor broken and fell off. - Dashboard lights off and switch to turn on not marked/identified. - Ignition could not be turned on without turning steering wheel. - I pre registered for mobile pickup, and then was required to complete numerous and extremely time consuming additional tasks on my cell phone after arriving at the pickup location.

Before I turned in the truck, I personally cleaned out the cab and swept the carbo box, and my wife and I folded and stacked the pads. [About half of the pads had still remained unused and inside the plastic bags.] That night I learned that your crooked men in Sanford had charged me a phony "cleaning fee." That was the first time when anyone at U-Haul has ever asked me for a "cleaning fee." Is that a dirty trick that your people now pull on all your customers who return equipment? Can y'all not earn an honest profit without using such a dishonest technique? My comments above apply here too: It appears that the people in charge of U-Haul have caused or allowed their standards to slip. Since 1968 I've repeatedly used U-Haul vehicles. However, my latest move was by far the least satisfactory one. Before I picked up my truck, online I ordered and paid for several items, including two large wardrobe boxes. Your man in New Albany, Indiana, tried to slide grand wardrobe boxes past me. When I caught that mistake, he admitted that he did not have any large ones. Later, when I agreed to tow (redistribute) a trailer for the convenience of U-Haul, when I picked up the trailer, the same man, without asking me, slid past me a charge for Safetow insurance. I did not notice that until later. Your hired helpers in both New Albany (loaders) and Orange City (unloaders) were the least well trained and least well qualified whom I've ever encountered. Likely they try to do well, but they missed the mark by a large margin. They caused or allowed several instances of minor damage. None of that is worth my filing a claim and putting up with the frustration of dealing with that. Much of it my wife and I can correct the damage -- and we've begun doing so -- but that requires our time, trouble, expense, and bother. That's what we get when your outside contractors hire their workers off the streets and sidewalks.

This is our second time renting from this location. The first time, not all of the equipment was available, and we had to travel to a second U-Haul location to get the items. On this specific rental, everything went smoothly until we returned the truck. Apparently, there was a clerical error and they miss read the odometer, indicating 200 extra miles, which changed the bill significantly. When we tried to contact the local store, we were rerouted to corporate and had to provide documentation, and spent 30 minutes on the phone. While the issue was resolved, it was a hassle for a one hour rental.

Have the dolly and pads in the truck when I scheduled to arrive before opening so I don't have to wait till opening time to get the dolly and pads. Also do not charge me for two days when I only used it for one day (the employee at the time said he would check in my truck and decided not to and left it for the guy the next morning). The guy who helped me in the morning behind the desk the next day when I tried to get a refund (still have not got it but said I can get it on tuesday when the manager is there (only person who can give refunds) was very nice and understanding. But side note... the app is terrible to use. Very slow and long process (45min just to check in). The truck was nice though and the tank was full of gas and ready to drive.

The movers I hired off the U-haul site when I reserved the truck did not show up. This was very upsetting since I was moving from the East to the West Coast. This has left me having to rent another truck to take the rest of my items for a second trip. I understand they are not U-haul employees, but they still represent your company since you advertise their business. Otherwise, the locations and truck were excellent.

Employees were rude and not helpful. Yelled at my wife and I as well as walked away from us when we were talking to them. Then laughed at us in our face and told us to "kiss their ass". When we asked why were being charged $18 dollars for fuel when we had the proof in pictures of the gas needle not moving. We were told to come to the store and show the pictures but when we did the employee Paul and Raymond I guess didn't like that we were in fact right when they took see the pictures of the needle not moving. Then when I asked for his managers contact info he said he didn't have anyone's number. I said I don't believe that so he finally gave us general managers number and said he don't want to speak to us. Terrible customer service and I will not let this encounter go because we paid for this service not to be treated like crap and robbed of our money.

I made a reservation with your call center, they had my email address from a previous rental 3 weeks prior, so they had all my info in the system. I got no text or email confirmation. The location did not have the reservation when I arrived, as a matter of fact, they could not find me in the system at all and I had to be re-entered from scratch. Lakeisha at the call center apparently deleted me from the system instead of creating a reservation.

I've rented at several storage unit facilities and I've never seen a "ReUse Center" like the U-Haul I'm renting at in Sanford, FL. I think it's a brilliant idea, I've already left a few things there, with more to come and I've checked out what others have left. Also Alexandra and her staff here have been great! They are all very professional, knowledge, helpful & super friendly.

Not too bad I was impressed except for the elevator the card reader doesn't work at least the way it should I believe the card reader itself is bad being in that line of work it's fairly obvious. That and you give him an answer I'll take a mile you won't be you'll be unloading your stuff so I'm going to pull up act like they don't even see you and take over the area you got to wait for them don't care much for that other than that it's all good.D. My lock was cut on my unit and a lot of my belongs, including my legal documents was thrown out. Kabul refused to do a thing about it when ir was reported. about 4 months ago you tried to get funds from my bank account without my permission. Just so happens there was no money in my account. I contacted haul with my complaint. I informed you that you DO NOT have and never had my permission to auto debit my account. The following month you did it again. That time you caused a lit of financial problems I'm trying ti deal with to this day. one if the problems you have caused, I am about to be evicted from my home and become homeless because I have nowhere to go. because of the worry and stress I have been hospitalized twice. I asked if these are the reasons I was allowed to get my belongings without paying and was told that was part of the reasons. And partly because that is what haul dose and that, I don't believe. After all of that, I was not allowed to rent a truck to get belongings. So I will never recommend haul company as a whole to anyone ever again.

We experienced a water leak on the first floor - Several units had the leak. There was no sense of urgency, no moving services available. We had to initiate everything. The manager never contacted us for 4 days until we emailed corporate. She was out with covid, but no one ever told us and no one contacted us. We were told repair would happen on a certain day. My husband took off work and no contact. A very small man, Don was helpful to assist in moving a few things out at the beginning. Very frustrating there was not a plan. We had to initiate movers, etc and hoping to be paid back. I was told the other units were contacted, but as of last Saturday, we saw no one moving their things out. A real hassle and we’re hoping to get credit on the unit for an extended time. We’re long time renters there and have another unit. The prior manager was really on-top of things and so friendly and nice.

I had reservations for a 10x15 but when I showed up none were available. I had to cram everything in a 10x10 and it didn't all fit. I just moved 650 miles and had nowhere to put my stuff. I had hourly workers with me that stood around for 30min doing nothing while the people working at uhaul tried to find me a storage unit. It took so long to figure out how to fit everything in the smaller unit I ended up having to pay my help for 3 additional hours. There was two of them it was a total of $180 extra. That's on top of the hours it should have taken that I had already paid for. I wasn't even offered anything for the issues. All I got was I'm sorry and it's not our fault it's the system. Really?!! So I'm out $180 and have a bunch of stuff piled in a garage because it wouldn't fit. No I would not recommend because it was extremely stressful trying to move a 3 bedroom house 650 miles and then have no where to put my stuff.

Access to the building was awkward with too many trucks parked along the driveway and building. Not enough parking was available for tenants.

We've used this facility may times over the last 10+ years, this visit was atypical. It took almost an hour to finish out the pre-reserved rental. Problems included a manager who watched the line of customers building up but wasn't assisting, the staff we had being delayed in helping us, and then struggling with process. Items were asked for that were not included in the list of items to bring as part of the online reservation. Our unit was available but other folks were being told units they had reserved weren't actually available and the staff was discussing how this has been a regular problem and escalated to online stalking of staff in one case. If there was not a shortage of storage in the area and our previous good experiences we would have moved on to another facility. Also one of the staff members came barging through an exit door at a run while we were moving in, the door missed injuring both of us only because I had been standing to the side by the code entry plate. There is nothing to resolve as we are in a unit, but the feedback might be useful in the future both for customer service and safety.

Apparently, you now outsource to a call center. I had an emergency situation with no way of reaching the actual facility. The customer service person refused to reach out to facility causing movers to wait for fow two hours. Your customer service folks don't communicate the process. I will never use you again.

He had the worst attitude and bad representation of uhaul. Next came move in time, but a random unit issue caused a delay beyond usage of the unit and although we were understanding of this issue the down side was that the employees on duty took 40 minutes just to continue telling us they are trying to figure out a solution. How about rent us another unit or call a brother/sister uhual to reserve for us inconvenience, but No! They offered no solutions until I personally called SIMPLY SELF STORAGE in SANFORD FL. Where we worked with a Miss Christina and was able To secure a clean, AC unit with better monthly price (cheaper by 60 bucks a month) and an awesome first month free deal. I have always used uhaul services and due to the lack of concern and resolve from uhaul employees today , uhaul has lost all of our business indefinitely. Needs customer service improvements Exponentially!

Ever time I went to the storage unit the staff was always professional and polite. The place was very lean and easy access to all three levels. The first storage rental got messed up because a drink was spilled on a computer. I was assigned a different storage space and the insurance was not done properly. I went back 2 days later to fix the insurance and buy more supplies and the rental assignment had been put back to the original space. Went to move things into the space the next day, and the elevator was blocked by a huge truck and a van that had been turned in and just left. Then went back with another load after 7 PM and the code that I had made up had been changed when the unit was reassigned. We had to call the "on call" to get it-COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS!!!!! The manager is apparently on vacation. I will voice my complaints in person. The staff was always courteous, but that can't make up for such a negative experience.

I had my storage unit in this location (Rinehart rd.) for 3 years. Della runs a tight ship and it shows in the professionalism, cleanliness, efficiency, and how friendly and personable the staff is. This is THE CLEANEST and FRIENDLIEST storage/moving Uhaul location or any storage and moving location that I’ve ever used and experienced. I’ll miss seeing the smiles and talking to the workers as I ran in and out of my unit to get things or store more things over the last 3 years. I just can’t say enough good things about this place. I highly, highly recommend this location.
