Doug MaizeTRAILER HAD ISSUE WITH RAMPS, RAMP KEEPER BROKEN. NEEDS TO BE FIXED BEFORE NEXT RENTER. When I checked trailer out Friday night everything went smooth. Until the next morning loading car on, noticed ramp keeper cracked and hanging on. When loading car ramp slipped out of hold and fell. Keeper completely broke off. No issue, got the car on trailer and used a ratchet strap to hold ramp in. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED BEFORE NEXT RENTER.

Annamaria MastronardiWhen we returned our truck yesterday afternoon (3/16/24) the lady was very rude. She wouldn’t let us “check it in” she just said to “go put the keys back in the truck”. Had she done her job and let us check in with her we would’ve noticed we left our (personal) moving blankets in the back. She then proceeded to charge us a “cleaning fee” for removing 2 little blankets. The truck was otherwise very clean and was returned in the condition it was rented from. I would like you add that the younger man we had during morning pickup did a great job. I’m not sure what this ladies problem was but if she hates her job this much she should find elsewhere to work. :/

Obviously she is overwhelmed and there needs to be more staff on hand, but it sounded like both times she was in a tough situation having to be there solo (no shows and call-outs) and she pulled it off beautifully. Really appreciate her Customer Service, work ethic, and Calm under pressure. Give that girl a raise!

Gregory SowersThere was one person working when I picked up the truck who had to do everything by himself. Then when I dropped off, there was one young lady working by herself which was not safe. She was so busy trying to do everything while multiple people were waiting. It’s pathetic that U-Haul rakes in money and cannot be bothered to make sure they have enough staff to do business and keep them safe. This is the second time I hav experience this at this location. Pitiful, do better!
Kevin RonanI had a truck reserved with moving pads and a furniture dolly all reserved with a confirmation. When I show up, they say all the dollies are gone even though it was reserved. It doesn’t matter other people took them. They don’t have anymore. Very unacceptable. Also had an encounter with an employee, when I just simply asked why the truck was not brought upfront I could had been prior since I had an appointment at 2:30 to pick it up. It was almost 3 , when I just simply asked why the truck was not brought upfront as it had been prior rentals, since I had an appointment at 2:30 to pick it up. It was almost 3 o’clock because of traffic and having to wait for a child to come drive me there I was told that the reservation was close to being canceled even though it was less than 30 minutes from the 230 reserve time . She got upset and then walked away, saying she would not even help me and clocked out.

Joel PopeI rented 2 weekends in a row and the dollys I needed were not available either time which makes moving so much harder. Jewel was so sweet and called around and none nearby had any either. If you don’t have the equipment you should get more or take it off your website. If it weren’t for Jewels exceptional customer service I would give this place 2 stars for lack of equipment reserved and necessary to make a big move.

They referred to it as a buffer. At return I was charged additional $$ because of going over 33 miles. Neither pickup or return locations had anywhere to park.

Went through all the paper and paid but long story short, the unit I was assigned was full of stuff. Unfortunately for me, it was the last one. He offered me a 5 x 10, for the 5 x 10 price, which I declined. At the end of the day, he refunded my money and confirmed availability at a nearby Uhaul place. On the way there I saw Lakeside Mini storage. They had a larger unit that was cheaper than Uhaul’s smallest unit. Go there. I did!!

Over the period of three years, I never once received a direct answer for any questions in less than 5 to 10 minutes....if they were even able to answer it. I had to make 4 trips to setup autopay. Couple the above with the entry gates being blocked 85% of the time and the rented unit always having a truck blocking it. I would have to go to the office to ask them to move a truck every time so I could access my belongings.The unit was fine but slightly overpriced. The service is why I left. I would be embarrassed if this was my staff. They are friendly and polite, but lack the skills to do the simplest tasks. I have high reservations against recommending this location. Staff needs to be trained and tested or replaced. Wish I speak more highly of this experience.

I'm a regular at this location with 5 storage units and frequently getting trucks. During busy hours, it's very difficult to get in and out of the facility because of a lack of employees able to service the desk and check in vehicles at the same time. Again, the staff works very hard but there's only so much one or two people can do.

John Beheler | Overall ExperienceThe requirements for completing a rental should be disclosed at the time of reservation. It is very disconcerting to be told at check-in about the need for 2 alternate contacts, and for home owner's insurance policy details. For people who may not have permission to use other people's contact information in advance, this is a very uncomfortable and inconsiderate imposition. Further, it feels like a form of economic duress to refuse to complete the rental without the information for someone who does not have these alternate contacts. These type of requirements could easily be noticed in advance or during the reservation process and a customer could make a decision about how they wish to proceed. At the time of check-in, the customer often has their belongings in a rental moving vehicle with cost implications, as well, they may not have any other option for storage which forces them to find some way to comply with your requirements. They literally have little or no choice except to agree to your terms at that point. That feels very much like duress.
THOMAS LINDSEY | First ImpressionsAll my my belongings were affected by the paint on the concrete wall inside of my unit. Seems the wrong kind of paint was used on the porous material on an exterior wall. It began rotting off and got white paint dust all over my items and myself. I had to breathe in the paint dust while clearing out my unit. The place was very expensive. Furthermore the entryway was most commonly blocked by large uhaul trucks and trailers so I would have to wait to access the unit for someone to come move the large vehicles.

The truck drop-off at the front is a flipping nightmare. Trucks being returned, quickly clog up the drive way in and out of the storage yard area. I am literally terrified I will be trapped in the storage yard because of the trucks cluttering the front parking/drop-off area. I would still recommend this facility to anyone!!!

On the third call the person told me there was an error with my card info. But she could not refund the late fees. Last month the location manager refunded the late fee for June. I appreciate the refund. However, uhaul has been a very difficult company to work with. I moved out as quickly as I could. I do not plan to use uhaul storage again and would not recommend.

Our family has had multiple storage units with you, at this location, for about 4 years; when our temp control a/c was out for months, you did not notify us about the situation. When we discovered it by visitation, you would not discount our temp control rental. Quite a few items are ruined due to heat exposure of our units. The last straw was checking out yesterday a day past our monthly renewal and NO prorated refund. There is no one to talk to per phone or email in the office. Communications are dead since Karen Moore departed. She was a caring, devoted employee that kept this location in top order. What a loss. I’m disappointed with your direction of your company.

He was dealing with multiple customers/situations when I arrived to pick up my uhaul (another person picking up a truck, a woman who’s car battery died while her car was parked outside her storage unit, and a man picking out boxes). He multitasked and prioritized well providing superb service to us all. When I arrived again to unload my truck in my unit, he was helpful answering my questions and provided quick service while being efficient again. I’ve had multiple experiences with other storage units and this was by far the best service I’ve had. I’m glad I chose this location and hope the person working is commended for his customer service. He was the guy working on the morning of 6/5.
