RUBY Dubois | First ImpressionsJust one complaint: The elevator is an old-style service elevator requiring the outer steel door and the inner steel gate to be opened to enter and closed to move the elevator and the reverse to leave the elevator. The outer steel door is especially cumbersome to operate. The elevator alone would cause me to recommend a newer public storage facility to my friends. I want to emphasize that the staff are EXCELLENT. However, there are too few of them since U-HAUL expects customers to rent, sign in, and sign out by the Internet on our phones while being present at U-HAUL so we could take pictures of our storage facility/rental vehicle. Pictures is a good idea. I am not complaining about that.

Would not recommend this storage facility with so many other newer more updated ones with real parking for customers

Unit had no individual light and the sensors in the hall went off quickly. The walls in the unit had holes and the doors were ntlot flush so you could easy into all the units with ease.

I have been stuck inside of it multiple times even several times on the last day I moved my belongings out. The reason that I moved my belongings out is because of the elevator and I explained that to the staff as well.

The service I received from Reese Baccas, despite my very late phone call, went over-the-top in every way, and with a positive attitude. I would not have been able to complete my project on time, had it not been for the exemplary customer service I received.

Second the unit they gave me the door was messed up very hard to open and close and they saw this for themselves before renting it to me and said that was all they had to rent. Third the light skin lady that is at the desk is not friendly or inviting she acts as if you are bothering her the guys there are much better

The old elevator had heavy up-and-down "doors" that were difficult to lift, afraid I would get my hands crushed. It wasnt a bad experience but I can't say it was an especially nice facility.

It took a long time to get everything coordinated (7 hours on the phone with customer service over 3 days) but I eventually got everything worked out. The manager and employees at the Rockville Centre location were very helpful.

The woman “Tequia” (spelling) was absolutely miserable and extremely rude every time I interacted with her. It was very stressful knowing she was working whenever I needed to go. The elevator is out dated, very heavy and at times did not work which caused delays in my day.

Even the woman in front of me on the line (with her husband) were glowing over the way he handled their rental truck needs for a move to Florida. You must have a ton of awesome feedback on this guy...but as I said...all the workers I've interacted with had a similar friendly and warm demeanor. I'm extremely impressed. Such a blessing. Management is to be commended for this as well.

Kenny Pardo | First ImpressionsINBOUND CALL. NOT AN IN-PERSON VISIT. Purpose of call was to pay this month's Past Due Rent for Room 495 over the phone. Bill became Past Due because of a problem on your website which would not allow me to use my credit card for payment. On 11-27-21, at 1:25p ET called 1-800-GO-UHAUL. Reached "Elizabeth" at the Call Center. Explained my dilemma with your website. She processed the credit card payment for me. After completing processing she told me that she was "unable to provide a confirmation or transaction number because the payment is pending." End result, NO PAYMENT RECORDED. Thus, necessitating my phone call to U-Haul RVC on 11-29-21.

She felt challenged challenged because a product that she recommended was not received with enthusiasm and later sought to pull rank and punish us by insisting we should go up and take a photograph of the room even though it was busy and a staff member was willing and able to go inspect the vacatied room. She was utterly combative and unprofessional. Poor customer sevice. Unlike what she purported in the video which is what appealed to me when I was shopping around. She certainly did a poir show of representating the company.

Between getting stuck in the elevator or waiting over 15 minutes for the elevator, we decided to take our business elsewhere. There were a few that were very helpful, and I would like to commend Mish on his help with trying to get the elevator working up to par, and quickly assisting us on getting out of the building. I do not plan on utilizing Uhaul for future business.

JEANNEMARIE HAFFNER | First ImpressionsThe move-in was fine, back in 2017 when I moved in, so I don't know why I'm getting this now, but it is typical of the complete lack of communication at the facility. For six months now I have been having major problems with my payments -- checks are lost and then posted 6 months late, checks take weeks and weeks to post, and no one knows what is going on or has any interest in finding out. I had to come personally to the facility to straighten out my account, and then ANOTHER check appeared and was posted 6 months after I sent it in. When I texted the manager (as he had asked me to do about any issued), he has never responded. VERY VERY FRUSTRATING.

One comment, not sure if it is solvable with the current facility, the freight elevator door takes a lot of strength to pull down. Far more than my wife could handle and thereby she could never go to the facility without me.

Robert Sayles | Overall ExperienceReese Baccas extended me a VIP credit for having rented space at this location for over a decade. She was very professional and personable. Although I would like to stay at this storage facility I need to find one that is cleaner and more conducive to storing my wardrobe. My clothing has mold on it and many fine pieces of clothing, especially leather clothing and shoes is ruined. Moreover, the freight elevator is inconvenient and clumsy for getting to my space and for moving stored items.
