no one there to unhook trailer when I returned, I had to do it myself. 2 people setting at desk when I went in on their phones. the first time I received poor service at this location,
William DHorrible experience during trailer return. 1st…sign outside store said wait in your car, help will come. After 10 minutes no one came out, so I went inside. Joshua M at counter said “most people come in” … then why have the sign? 2nd … another customer pulled in with trailer return as I was still waiting for Joshua. When he came out, he attended to that customer first. Removed the trailer and left it there. Then Joshua directs me to pull trailer all the way to back of lot, when he should have disconnected there and let me go about my business. I obliged and pulled around back. Joshua angrily yelled at me to slow down as I approached. Then he stood there smoking a nasty cigarette and refused to disconnect the trailer from my truck! He then threatened that “you will never rent from U-Haul again”. Guess what ….. you’re right about that, and everyone I come in contact with will also know about the poor service. I was forced to disconnect the trailer myself as he stood there smoking. Tremendously disrespectful behavior. Very disappointed in condition of trailer as well. Missing hook for rear safety chain and overall very beat-up.

John GThe contract stated the van I rented has 3/4 tank fuel and I used it for 25 miles and the fuel gauge was a little over 1/4 tank fuel at return. Either they had the reading wrong or the van averages 2 miles a gallon which is doesn’t make any sense. I was charged $25 extra for fuel even after I filled about $6 of fuel based on the 25 miles used during rental.. frustrating

Thomas SThis location was great - So if you have to use Uhaul, this is the location to go to! However - our overall Uhaul experience was horrendous to the point that we would NOT recommend Uhaul to others and will likely not use them again - especially the self service check in/check out we did at the Bridgeport location! The Bridgeport rental was one of the worst rental experiences we've ever had, and a lot of it had to do with a lack of communication from uhaul overall (the automated emails did not contain useful information). For example, we were not told we'd need to have either a lease, passport, or two people to call to verify our identity and that was a huge hassle, especially because that uhaul location was in a terrible service area where we had hardly any phone coverage making the process take a very long time. There was no way to indicate that a vent inside the vehicle was missing in the app, so we just had to trust that we wouldn't be charged for it. In addition, we ended up having to pay double for our trip due to some communication inaccuracies from the Uhaul schedule team as well as the original pick up location in Bridgeport being closed that day, and our desire to add insurance. Because no one was at the location, we couldn't add insurance on, and because the next nearest location took us more than 30 minutes to get to, we missed the 30-minute window to add it, and ended up having to return the vehicle, and re-rent it out. This was awful as it meant we paid TWICE for the same trip.

Robert Tcame up at wrong price instead of checking out why she just said the price went up. after calling main office i found out they were charging me for 2 days when i only wanted 1 day. she was very dismissive of me.
William DEverything went great with the rental process and we got a brand-new, spotlessly clean truck! The previous driver had left a fast-food drink in the cupholder that we had to dispose of, and we only discovered after we drove home that there were no blankets or dolly in the back as promised, so we had to return for those. So, mental note, check the back before you leave!
john oI put exactly 20 miles on the truck which was 5 miles less than I pre paid for and returned 4 hours earlier than expected and was charged for an additional $18 for gas. Dumbest thing ever, the needle didn’t even move and when I called to ask about it I was told the charge was correct, read the contract. Rude

will sEquipment return process needs to be a bit improved. Workers at desk did not respond to me in spite of the fact I sat there for nearly 10 minutes (they were on their smartphones). I finally had to come into the building and get their attention before my equipment could be returned. Who detached trailer for my vehicle did not scan document to show I had returned it and I had to receive a follow up call the next day to confirm that I had indeed returned the equipment. I even asked the worker if there was anything that needed to be done with my paperwork and was told no. This is an aberration I think. I have used this facility many times before and it is always been excellent.

Steve WI have been coming to this location for 22 years, All A+! in the last week I had two filthy trucks! I had to use a sheet to cover the seat covered with animal hair, dash was so dusty I could write my name and I sprayed a quarter of a bottle of champagne toast , with the window down, and still could not get rid of the pungent smell of body order! There was definitely an animal prior to me renting, but I could not even smell the animal, I guess whom ever job is was to clean probably could not take it! I would have taking the truck back but it was after hours! I believe the young lady that help me, knew what I was about to experience, If you need someone to actually clean trucks! I’m up for the job because no one should have to experience this!

The specific reasons are the security caught the fact I did not latch my locker correctly after having left, removed my lock, latched it correctly, put a temporary lock on, notified me to return at any time to put my lock back. It’s impressive that amongst the thousand or so lockers security had caught my mistake showing they pay attention to the details. The staff I worked at the beginning middle and end were all friendly and helpful. Finally, the staff keep the place cleaner than a hospital and so well lit. I will rent space here again because of this experience.

I would not have signed had I known it would be on the second floor, and it was very inconvenient to access my things without needing someone to come along with me to assist.

Also authorized every month, to take my rent 💰 out. Brittany went above and beyond to help me. Would I recommend U Hall at this location??? Absolutely

Aaron K | Online Move InI used to work for Uhaul so this will be biased. The basic service was fine. There's too much swiping and card reading and doors for my taste, but I get it. The counter is where the break is and always will be. No one knew how to use the door device, it took some time to figure out if it was the right one and if it even worked or not. Hire people and pay them accordingly so someone can be at the counter at all times and people can be out in the lot at the same time helping people. You guys never paid people for the amount of work you dump on them, and let them unionize if they want to Joe. I was offered a job if I wanted it, but really would not want to work for such a megalomaniacal greedy behemoth where the shareholders are more important than the workers. Sadly it is how all future corporations will be. Tell Bezos the same thing at your next rich guy meeting. I went down the road to a more economical storage facility in the end.

Within a reasonable amount of time I received a return call, stating they had made an error and corrected it. However, just waiting for my december payment to be reinstated as I paid 2 months in advance. Other than that, top notch customer service. I will stay on top of the correction to make sure it's done.

Brenda E | First ImpressionsBethany I was there last night at closing. The poor woman who helped me either needs a lot of training or a new career. It took like 45 mins to rent the unit. That was insane. Then she didn’t tell me that ther was no elevator, didn’t tell me about the 2 levels of the price difference or there was apparently a free lock inside the unit after I bought one. Finding the zip tie on the lock was another unpleasant surprise since I flew in that morning and can’t carry a pocket knife. Luckily I had a nail clipper in my backpack. The alarm siren went off several time. Never did figure out what to do with the card key Since I didn’t need it to get in. Overall if was a horrible experience. The only good thing was you were open till 7. You should also put a camera and remote access system on your overhead door to rescue stupid people who are there past 10 instead of telling them they will just be stuck like you told me.

The staff was always courteous and I never waited longer than 2-3 minutes if that for assistance. My storage unit was excellent the whole time I had my valuables in storage...no leaks, no wet floors, all inside, climate controlled. And once I cleaned out and closed my unit the rat trap had no bugs and no rats. The place is clean, very well lighted, safe, secure! Well run place! Thank you!

We were charged a $25 truck cleaning fee, but the truck was filthy when we picked it up. My wife had to wash the interior. It had a dirty mask left in it from previous rental!
