I originally made a reservation at 1340 E. 3rd Street in Dayton Ohio to pick up 1 hour before the open with the 24/7 app. The man called the night before to confirm. When we arrived to pick up the truck at 8:00am. They did not leave a truck or a key to pick up. We had to get on the phone and drive to another location to pick up a truck. Very inconvenient.

No one told me that I had to do the Checkin on the app when I returned the vehicle. I had a lot of trouble getting this to work. No one told me there would be a $20 fee if vehicle returned after hours. Was just told it had to be back by 6:30 pm . I hope they don’t charge the extra $20.

Not of the equipment I rented was in the truck. I had to borrow stuff from neighbors and use clothes to protect my furniture. What a hassle. My previous rental experience was no better. I will not rent from this location again.

I reserved a truck from the beavercreek location and the girl did not have keys to get into the building. I called the linden store and they were a great help getting me a truck when I had movers waiting for me. They got me on my way as fast as they could I appreciated the help.

I was delighted by the service. I decided to wait for my hitch installation; while 3 hours quoted, Zach had me in and out within an hour, and he installed my bike rack for me! Was a place to sit, clean bathroom and pleasant environment.

When asking about my deposit the assistant manager was trying to explain but was being rude and unwilli g to listen to my point of view which lead to a little arguing, luckily chyanne was able to step in and assist in a way calmer easy to approach tone and worked with me on finding out what happend chyanne was very sweet and kind thank you chyanne

My fiance made my reservation as he is an assistant manager at the U haul in Augusta, Georgia. When the store called to remind me of my appointment for Saturday, I asked to move my appointment to 4 from 1 pm, and the associate was able to help me with this. When picking up the truck, the associates sat the whole time. After being greeted, we proceeded with the rental, were given the keys, and were told approximately where the truck was. It had snowed in Ohio the day before, and the truck still had snow on the windshield. The truck did not have windshield wiper fluid, which could have been a hazard as the windshield was dirty from the snow. Every time the truck was started, it prompted the truck to need an oil change, and my mom and I felt the truck drove rough and not as smoothly as it could have been. The lock on the back of the truck would not unlock, and I left my couch in the truck overnight and luckily, it was not stolen. I told the associate ( her tag said owner), and her response was "ok." She not once apologized for the lack of the truck or my experience. This was probably my worst U-Haul experience.

There was a problem with original cargo van I rented tire light came on and having issue with slowly starting. So the lady in charge gave me a different van to use she was really nice and helpful. She did apologize for the wait cause most of her staff called off work so working and running the store and her attitude was great and took care of us customers that were waiting for a truck or van. I would come back again when needed.

When truck was reserved online it said available and also .59 cents per mile. Upon arrival the truck i reserved was not available and the charge was .79 cents per mile. Not a great way to get in a business with false advertising. I won’t be back.

The ramp on the rental truck appeared to be covered with rock salt which was initially appreciated. But we later noticed that about half of the crystals on the ramp were quarter inch glass fragments from something damaged in handling. We swept up the glass fragments and disposed them into a nearby dumpster to prevent our tracking them into our apartment building.
Please add ramp inspection to your checklist.

Reserved the trailer online with no issues. Experienced a bit of wintry weather on morning of pickup. U-Haul called me to verify if I still wanted to pick up the trailer given the weather, which was a nice customer service touch. I did go ahead with the rental, and payment/pickup was quick and smooth. Had no difficulties using the trailer. Dropoff was quick and easy. I referred the location to a friend planning a local move. $40 for an enclosed trailer for a 1-day move in wet, wintry weather was well worth the cost.

Kids working the front desk were way to immature.

At one point a lock was placed on my storage locker even though my account was current. It took the employees an hour to unlock my locker, and this experience was extremely inconvenient. Apparently nobody had time to unlock my locker to allow me access.

I used this storage facility for two years, and the price always went up. When I came back to pick up my stuff in my unit after 2yrs, there was rat 🐀 poop 💩 everywhere on my stuff. This a indoor climate controlled facility with a rat problem. Lastly there is a window completely broken and pieces everywhere. It is covered up by cardboard. The glass was never picked up. I am completely surprised how this store runs a business. Never recommending to anyone.

The restrooms were dirty and no toilet paper and paper towels. I had two units and one of my units didn’t have a payment method attached, so I got charged a late fee. Then, it took me driving their after two weeks of moving out of my units to close my accounts so I wouldn’t get charged for another month.

In the beginning we were extremely happy with the facility. We had no problem when our rate was raised from 54.99 to 59.99. We were annoyed at the immediate almost unstable $5 increase to 64.99. When the rate eventually increased to 79.99 for a 5x10x10 we were very dissatisfied. we were told the increase was not to keep people like us out, but to keep the riff faff out.

We were there on Thursday July 2 to check and see about placing a few of our boxes.. We were "yelled" at since it was already after 6 pm and we had not done "all the paperwork" yet. The store was open until 7. We had reserved the unit for Thursday, July 2. Since the unit had also "not been cleaned," we agreed to come back on Friday July 3. When we arrived the next morning, the unit had STILL not been swept and mopped. So the unit was WET when it was turned over to us. Cardboard and wet floors do not make a good mix. Our time was wasted waiting for the unit to be cleaned and the floor to dry so we could place our boxes in the unit. The unit should have been cleaned in a timely manner, maybe Wednesday? Thursday morning?

I didn’t appreciate UHaul raising the rates without giving me a notice, and time to decide if I accepted it.
Also didn’t appreciate the no pro rate time. If I don’t use an entire month I shouldn’t be charged for it. I’ll never use UHaul for anything else ever again. You Lost a customer for life. I also will not recommend you to anyone.
