Keith FThe General Manager was beyond rude to me and my friend who were told to come to this location after my original location didn’t have the truck I had resigned and questioned us about if we were lying or not. We went in with such a positive attitude on what was a stressful day for myself and to be spoken to like that after being kind was truly unprofessional and distasteful. I think moving forward he needs to learn how to deal with people or rather not deal with people at all unless he knows how to actually help someone.

WENDY F | First ImpressionsThe drop off location was changed on me twice, and I asked for additional km allocation to reflect the fact that I was being told to drop off the truck 40 min drive from the original location. I was told they would add 40km. When I dropped off I was not told that I would be charged extra km based on the original allocation. Further, the 6L I was charged for fuel also should have been overlooked given I had to drive an extra 40 minutes to get to the new drop off location that was reassigned to me after I already had the truck. So there was an extra $30 charged to my card without me being told, half of which was for km beyond the original allocation (not reflecting the 40km added at my request) and 6L of fuel that is roughly equivalent to the extra driving I had to do to get to the reassigned dropoff location).

Ted CStarted with going in to book a truck and was advised by the young attendant that I would get a call within 48 hours of the rental date for payment. Got a call 48 hours before rental from a location 50km from home saying they had a smaller truck for us to pickup at their location. I was not interested in that option, at all. They kindly told me to call head office. It took 3 attempts to connect, in the meantime I was at the U-Haul depot in Ptbo. Head office advised there was a truck I had reserved that I would be able to rent. I stayed in the depot to confirm this. The young male attendant was lovely but kept using the term “we should” have a truck for you. I needed more than should. The general manager was hearing my questions and came to help out. However, the general was condescending toward the young staff, spoke poorly of his abilities in front of me and dismissed the staff suggesting he go outside and do something. One the young staff was gone, be spoke negatively about his abilities again. I told him I felt the staff had done ok, but that his management style was upsetting and unprofessional. We completed the transaction with him advising me that “you don’t have to move, you get to move”. Strange thing to say, I was moving my daughter, how does he know peoples circumstances? I was leaving the depot, there were now several customers waiting and the manager was the only one working the desk. I heard the next customer say “well, you’ve had quite the morning”. The customer was laughing, as was the manager, who then replied, “yes can you believe some people”. I was appalled by the entire encounter. He knew I was still in the building and could hear them. I was certainly well rewarded for this dealing with a new truck that was clean and great to use. However, I will share this story and never recommend that location to anyone. The staff are not the issue, the manager is.

Decided to leave at a registered uhaul drop off with key return. Now I'm being charged $900 more!!! NOT OK!!!!

I Drove for four hours so it was so nice to be greeted with good customer service! I didn’t give it 5 stars because the spiders outside surrounding the pin pad to get in was so uncomfortable. If I was alone I would not have been able to get close enough to get in. They are everywhere, hanging overhead at the loading dock too, hundreds, and for someone with arachnophobia it made for a terrible experience. Once inside the facility was clean and bright.

It is not for 24 hours access and it is from 5 am to 10 pm. I was locked out on one occacion while I was moving my stuff and customer rep over the phone nor store manager was able to help me out. 2) Also I have 2 months worth of credit storage time but store manager wont link it to same locker forcing me to transfer my belongings to another locker in same facility or near by facility which dosenot make sense. Anyways I will check out budget rental next time I need moving assistance. Thanks

When I was paying for it, I was charged $62.15, which included insurance I wasn’t told about. I decided not to dispute the extra charge but this negatively affected my first impression of UHaul. The person should have been more honest and transparent with the actual price of an extra day. On a good note, I was impressed with the otherwise well informed, helpful and friendly staff. I also loved the idea and convenience of allowing customers to leave unwanted items in the docking area for others who may be interested in them. This is a very caring and earth-conscious idea (saving items from going to landfill that others may enjoy).

It would also be much more beneficial if the big sliding door (inner door) inside would still open after hours when entering. You have to put your passcode in on the second keypad anyway so it seems strange that, that second door can't open then. It was very difficult moving large items through the smaller, normal size door after hours.
Jeremy A | Overall Experience*****At the time of move-in, no one explained the open ceiling effects to expect nor did they inform me if there are 10x10 unit WITH A CEILING available at all. The entire facility is nice and really clean EXCEPT that my unit doesn't have a solid ceiling, just an all open air with wire mesh. When I opened my 10'x10' unit EVERYTHING I had in there was coveted in thick dust. I pay a lot of money for the unit and I assumed my items were safe from getting SO dirty or damaged. Some of my items already appear unable to be cleaned by all that so much accumulated dust. I may have to move my storage unit. Plus, I get completely dirty going in to find something. Just touching a box makes my hands covered in dust, not to mention my clothing.

As a result, I set off the alarm because I didn't know I was supposed to "sign in" with the keypad. It's confusing because the doors open - so it seemed like it was ok to go in. A staff person explained the process, but in a very quick and seemingly impatient way - the office was closing, I get it, he wanted to go home, but we didn't understand and so made a lot of mistakes. The unit itself was clean and ready to go, and I was able to put everything we had with us inside. Now I know the process, it will be simpler.

When i got the trailer, it smelled pretty bad and it looked like stuff was spilled. I let the person know and I left it open for a few hours to air out before I put my stuff in. I visited once in a while during the 2 years I had stuff stored. When i moved out, the stuff at the back had mould. my box spring, my 6 foot shelf and a really expensive white lacquer tv stand was stained yellow. couldn’t clean the yellowish brown tint. had to throw away my box spring and shelving unit. can’t believe I spent all that money when I could have just left my stuff in on the yard and used that money to buy new furniture. I took photos but I’m pretty sure uhaul isn’t going to do anything.

They definitely lived up to (and exceeded) the reputation! What was meant to be a short summer 'stay' between university years ended up a year and a half due to COVD. The security, well maintained facility, and reasonable price gave us confidence- we had one less thing to worry about during a stressful time! The staff- Glenn et al- were wonderful- always accessible and helpful, friendly and professional. Highly recommend! Thanks for everything :)

It would have been nice if Glen had mentioned the stairs when I called, as it was a waste of our time and also Cody's time.

We now have one that’s 650 sq ft for 280$ 100 more than we paid you guys. The worst thing for me is the outrageous fees. I always paid my bill here and there a bit late but the fees were ridiculous. Way happier where I am now, I have 3 units and will give them a lot more business!

Had to go back and butt in line and redo that portion as well. People in line already frustrated as it took quite a long time to process one person. When you're in a hurry and only have the truck for 4 hours and you waste an hour signing in its annoying. Had to ask someone for a shovel at loading bay. Was standing in a bunch of snow from the storm. When I returned the lady shovelled the spot for me. I would say they need a designated check in person who is fast on computer and not answering phones , getting workers organized, doing 11 other things. My order was interrupted several times which took even longer. Overall great people. Sign in process needs improvement.
