The guy that helped me was excellent. He was very helpful. He made it fast and easy. And he was very nice which always makes the process so much more pleasant. I was in and out in less than five minutes. The best experience I’ve had at any U-Haul location. I will definitely be back at this location.

Lander WalkerThe truck we rented (JH 5472 J), a relatively low mileage truck, did have some issues that impacted our move. These issues were supposed to have been discussed on a call the following business day, however, that call never came. The front end alignment is off enough where the steering wheel is held at the 10 o'clock to drive straight. The speedometer is running fast by a minimum of two miles per hour which ticks off miles faster. We used 665 miles on our trip. 569 miles from Pensacola, FL to Doniphan, MO, 15 total miles to pick up/drop off truck and 30 mile round trip to storage unit. Our actual usage was closer to 614 miles. The cruise control servo caused the engine to surge downhill, even on the slightest grade. In our case, the surge was more of a nuisance, however, should it worsen... Finally, the rear door on the box sticks at about 2 inches up from closed. I am a disabled veteran, and while I can normally open/close this type of door, I had to find, use, and hold on to a 2x4 to get the door past whatever the issue is creating the problem.

pamela floresThey went above and beyond to help a family who had to move across the state and seen to unforeseen weather conditions, helped make the stress from moving from Reno to Florida pulling two trailers… so great! I felt so cared for and understood by them. Felt safe and taken care of. Then the special to buy one months rent get one free cause we rented .. was a god sent. We were able to recover from a driving in 108 temps, cars over heating- a trip that took a week instead of the four days- recovery a blessing. I was crying on the phone to have been offered this- just thank you for treating us like a family instead of just costumers. I’ll tell everyone who ever needs storage where to go EVERYTIME!!! Thank you so much!! Oh and for finding us trailers during Burning Man, was going above and beyond!!! We thank you!!

I nearly ran out at the end of my across town trip and then got charged extra for not filling it up to half. Only up to what I received it at. Wish I had taken a photo. Plus there’s a tire pressure system notification on the dash that blocks the digital odometer so I had to guess which button turns it off. The trucked worked well and I didn’t have issues operating it. I just the reservation process wasn’t such a pain.

Lawrence MillerDoes any UHaul place actually follow their posted hours? Got the van unloaded early and checked the hours for the drop off. Great they’re still open. I need to talked to them about getting a refund for having to replace a windshield wiper on the junky truck. Got there. They were closed. Let the place vowing never to use UHaul again. Something similar happened when I made the reservation and needed to get days added. If you are not going to be there, say so. And quit blaming staffing shortages. I don’t care anymore.

larry wilson | Overall ExperienceUnable to reach anybody that can handle a situation. I had to make 6 trips to the office for a matter that was not resolved, you can check cameras. I moved out of the storage unit 07/16 the office was notified in person, I was still receiving emails about late fees and had a balance even though I paid in full. Eventually the balance was deleted. Records was not kept well or updated. My stuff have mold or/and mildew, I have pictures, but after the headache and time lost, I just wanted to be done with uhaul. The manager bad talk an employee basically saying the person was new and incompetent, which is not a leader move nor professional. The manager lied and my face and when question about he said “well?? I don’t know”.
quetisha griffin | Overall ExperienceI got a code for “gate or building access” but there was neither a building to enter nor a gate (outdoor unit). I open the unit and an alarm starts going off. I tried finding someone to ask about it, and a guy (moving u-boxes with a forklift) that was there said that there was an arm/disarm panel at an adjacent building. I enter the code and get “access denied”. I go back and ask the guy about it, and he said that the location was changed to an un-manned location and that I needed to drive to a different location for customer service. I elected to instead call that location versus driving my loaded truck down the road. Several calls, no one ever picked up, waited on hold with uhaul for longer than the estimated wait time, pressed the intercom button on the keypad that said it was monitored at all times, but got no response. I finally decided to just drive down there. The guy I spoke to at the main location confirmed my code was good, but said the system has been screwed up and to just ignore the alarm when it goes off. He also programmed a swipe card for the unit in case that worked; it didn’t. The gentleman was very polite and knowledgeable and explained that through the cameras they would disregard the erroneous alarms from the broken system. The alarm going off is a minor inconvenience, but my biggest issue was the lack of warning initially, not knowing what to do, and the inability to get in touch with anyone on the phone or the intercom—in retrospect I wish I’d redeemed my month of storage at a different location.
