The location in Texas uhaul charged me $15 because I returned the furniture pads in the pod. When I called they said the pads were not folded properly. Sounds like a scam to me. Texas uhaul location is corrupt and scandalous. I would not recommend them.

This has been the worst experience of my life. From the beginning of the move when the guy told me I would only need one Ubox and shipping was $1600 to me needing 3 uboxes and the shipping cost jumped to $2385. I also hired movers in LA and had to pay $235 each time the brought me an additional box( which they brought one by one) I've tried multiple times to speak with U-Haul corporate support and nothing has happened. I’m still to this day waiting on a call from the customer service department and no one has called me. On top of that, I received my uboxes and the first thing the movers pull out as I’m standing there was a broken 65 inch tv. I called U-Haul because I did purchase the insurance and they told me it’s the moving company fault. I stated that not possible…… I was standing right there when they open the box( I had the key) and the first thing I wanted was the tv, so they went to get it… they uncovered it took all the cushions off of the tv and it was broken. So I called the moving company and they said it was U-Haul fault as it clearly happened while in transition. I am truly disappointed with the company and level of service ( or lack there of)that I received from the company. 98% of the mistakes were made by U-Haul employees but nothing has been done about my experience with U-Haul. I would great say not to use U-Haul!!! Better off doing it yourself!

This was a great first time experience for me! I had never used a storage/moving service before- and I consulted with PODS- but did not have a good experience. I turned to U-HAUL and was pleasantly surprised to find that not only did they offer a similar service, but the process was much easier and saved me a lot of time and money that I would have otherwise spent with PODS. I am so happy with the ease of this service and the friendly people that helped me on all ends. I will definitely recommend to others!

The staff that was there was super friendly and the process for checking the truck in and out was very easy. Angie and another lady there that seemed to be a supervisor, answered all my questions and very knowledgeable. I did not know this location was so close to my apartment and made my experience even better without a ton of people in line and long wait times. I will return here if I need to rent another U-Haul. Thank you ladies.

They messed up on the charges. Starting mileage designated on the paperwork didn’t match the actual starting mileage. I brought that to their attention, they said they will adjust before charging but did not.

This location “wrote down my order wrong” and gave the movers hired to unload it an empty box instead of the box with all my belongings shipped across the country - they told the movers it was supposed to be a loading, as well, so they were just as confused. They “managed to locate” my full U-Box, but it was still a whole panic attack. I also got a voicemail saying I owed money (without explanation) in order to release the box, but they didn’t answer my return calls and the box was released, so who knows. U-Haul also neglected to tell me when both the original movers I hired (loading and unloading) cancelled and needed to be replaced. I only found out because I tried to contact the original movers the day before - oh, and both replacement movers cost a good amount more. So, it wasn’t exactly an easy move with U-Box, and I’m still not entirely sure just how much more it cost than I originally agreed to. But that’s not entirely the fault of this location, so 3 stars seems fair.

While I don't tend to write feedback like this, my experience with the U-Boxes was beyond frustrating and turned out to be somewhat of a logistical nightmare. I lost hours and hours of my time dealing with the mistakes that were made by U-Haul during the booking, delivery and pick-up process, and am still trying to correct these errors one month later. Unless U-Haul can make this right somehow, I will not be using U-Boxes ever again. I hope the team can use this feedback to inform the process in the future. -U-Haul never got the address of my U-Box loading location correct. I spoke with ~10 different people in customer service the week prior to correct the address (street name and city were somehow both misspelled, leading me to worry the box would be dropped off in the wrong location). Despite spending a total of ~2.5 hours on the phone with multiple people, the confirmation was never corrected, and remains incorrect now in all of my receipts. -On loading day, the boxes were delivered 1.5 hours PAST the 2-hour delivery window. I eventually learned that the original driver had called in sick that day. No one bothered to inform me of this delay - it was only because I called customer service (and had to speak with 3 different people and was placed on multiple holds). I was waiting for 3.5 hours to receive my box, on a day when I had no time to spare. -When the driver finally arrived with my box, 1.5 hours late, I was told - to my surprise - that the box could not be placed on the driveway because there was a slight incline. Again, I was never informed that this would be an issue prior to choosing this location (even after uploading photos of the delivery location, including the driveway). We ended up having to place the boxes on the street, potentially illegally - and worried the entire time that the boxes would be towed. -On the final loading day, I had selected a pick-up window of 2-4pm PT. I live an hour away from the house where our boxes were placed, and when I arrived at 1pm to finish loading the box, the drivers were already there - an hour BEFORE the start of the pick-up window - locking up the boxes and ready to drive away an hour early. If I had arrived 10 minutes later, they may have driven off before we were done loading. -I didn't use the second box I had reserved, and had called U-Haul on the last loading day to inform them of this and initiate the refund I was promised when booking it. They told me they would process the refund and said to expect it within a few business days. One month later, I still had not received the refund. I called customer service to follow up, was told there was no record of any refund being issued. They finally initiated a refund for the second box, which hit my account 3 days later, only for me to realize the refund was for the wrong amount ($8 less than what I was charged for the box and was quoted I would receive back). I just followed up for a second time with customer service, and had to speak with multiple people to re-explain the situation and open a new case. Hopefully this will be corrected ASAP.

I did not actually "see" the facility. It was very nice to receive a call about my UBox being pulled for pickup for my unloading on November 11. It was not smooth to get unloading help so this call was a pleasant surprise.

Not over charge, double charge, use the wrong cards, have an easier way to get to talk to local u hauls and not the call center. Reach out to client before unilateral e alert, actually notify of such AFTER issuing one too. Deliver the goods the customer buys online (I’m still waiting for my mattress bag, I had to throw away my mattress thanks to that!!)

I reserve a container for home unload and delivery. When my ubox arrived in California from Pennsylvania they said the had no delivery in the system and said the photos I uploaded couldn't be found and the link that was texted to me wasn't sent from uhaul even though it was from uhaul and everything was on my end delivery notes and photos. I was told I paid in full,but the wanted to add an additional charge for delivery . I was completely disappointed with the service. This will be my 1st and last time using this service

I would recommend that you make it more clear to customers that your movers are subcontractors. Also, I would make it more clear that you use the Moving Help website in addition to the U-Haul website to schedule movers.

We would call ahead to have our Ubox ready and we’d show up and have to go to the office and request it as if we hadn’t called. Then when we didn’t call once, they told us they couldn’t get it out without us calling ahead. Incredibly slow, disorganized service

Next time, do NOT reposition the vinyl cover backwards. The driver dropped off the container in a parking spot that we THOUGHT would leave room for access to the door, but the door was on the wrong end AND it was screwed shut. The driver had to come back to move the container.

Layny verbally made things right 3 times over the phone, and then backpedaled *every time* when I called back to check on progress. The final time, after we had agreed on 8/25 that U-Haul would refund the difference of hiring someone from movinghelp.com (plus $50, which I did not ask for -- but her manager supposedly suggested due to my hassle); when I called to check on the rest of the amount, Layny lied that I had agreed to $305 (this number doesn't even make sense). She then became aggressive with me when I disagreed, snapping, "Can I finish? CAN I FINISH?!" She straight-up argued for a few minutes, then disconnected my call, then sat in silence like a petulant child when I called back and again asked for her manager. I don't know if she falsified the notes or was just lying to me. Why in the world she is customer-facing is mind-blowing. Teach her how to move a trailer if you want to keep her employed. I will be passing this experience on to everyone I can, and I will never be a U-Haul customer again. The whole experience has been an absolute nightmare.

The movers I hired through U-Haul damaged my bed frame by wrapping piece of the frame together. Upon arrival, I found big gashes and scratches in the wood pieces. The moving companies need to be vetted better.

I made several appointments to access my box and it was never once ready when I arrived. Additionally, when I called to verify that the reservation had ended after I returned the empty box (but still saw an active reservation on my page), it took several associates to be able to even find the reservation.

I’d give a 5 star; however the pickup date was missed and no one called me. Also, it wasn’t dropped off in my driveway as I requested. I guess the driveway had too much of an incline but it would have been nice if someone would have told me prior to dropping it off without saying anyone. The above situation and comments would not stop me from recommending or using this service again. Everything else was great and the price cannot be beat.

More organized communications between stores, other stores, and their employees would greatly improve this process. We had our boxes transferred and each time we called back, employees didn't have information on our shipment or where it was supposed to go, which delayed us several times and was extremely frustrating.

Alyssa (who delivered the boxes) was super on time - really early in the delivery window (which honestly never happens with most providers). She was also very friendly, did the delivery quickly and safely, and was generally lovely to work with. The folks over the phone also helped sort out a weird neighborhood transfer between Uhaul providers pretty quickly and easily. All in all a really great experience, and relatively affordable compared to other moving options. Thank you!

I’ve used and use Uhaul countless times. Recently quite a bit for work. The location is cluttered, unorganized and confusing. Trailers, Pods, Trucks everywhere. No uniformity and beyond confusing. IfnInwasnt familiar with online check in I would have had no clue. You can’t tell if an office exists. No one is here to greet or explain. The truck has a check engine light on from inception and the A/c blew HOT HOT air. With temps in the 100-110 recently it was unbearable. Outrageous this vehicle allowed to be rented. Can’t tell you how displeased and angry I am.

I rented two U-Box containers and shipped them from Massachusetts to California. Everything went fine with this move. The survey ratings don't apply to this portion of our U-Box rentals (which I would rate as B+ which would have been an A had UHaul delivered the containers on time. My frustration arose when I requested further use of the U-Box containers (transfer from my Los Angeles, CA home to a home in San Luis Obispo, CA). Regarding this transfer, everything that could go wrong did go wrong and ultimately I had to go to Panorama City, pick up the U-Box myself and transfer it to San Luis Obispo; on op of that I had to make two trips bc I had two containers. The service associated with this movement was bad - most of my frustration stemmed from calls I made to get container updates. Lots of unfulfilled promises. Worst yet, I had to do the transfers over July 4th, not the way I wanted to spend my day! I felt Hauls pricing was competitive, I had used Hauls services in the past so I felt comfortable trying the U-Box service, but in the end it was a real disappointment.

Arrival at the destination was not coordinate well. I never received notice that the box arrived at the destination until I called to check status. And then I was referred to 3 separate departments to call myself to coordinate the delivery and unload service I ordered. I never heard from Uhaul or the movers at all until I checked on it.

Uhaul Driver drove under a low-hanging tree branch and ripped the entire Ubox off of its base, spilling my belongings all over the ground and doing excessive damage. Then the Uhaul insurance company denied my claim. I tried to dispute the charge for the cost of the transport, but Uhaul refused and I was still charged. I'd been moving storage items, mostly things from my family members who have passed away. Things I cherished! I chose the Ubox so other people would not have their hands on my belongings, potentially causing damage to them. But multiple people (complete strangers) had to pick up the scattered items off the street after the accident. I've been arguing with the insurance company for months now, because they claim they don't cover things like sentimental items or rare items, things that are not mentioned in the insurance policy. And they have a HUGE list of things they do NOT cover, including typical things people generally move.

Communication for this service needs to improve drastically. There are not enough details on your website or in your emails to know what steps need to be taken to have the pod successfully picked up and retrieved. Knowing that the customer must call and give 24 hour confirmation or notice of pick up or retrieval is a vital piece of information that is not communicated. I was almost unable to pick up my pod because I could not get in contact with the store and I had no idea if the pod would be accessible, I was told I should have provided 24 hour notice, but I would have never known that unless I called.

It is a bit confusing knowing you need to go to a separate warehouse to load your U-Box. Additionally, it is hard to know where to park once you arrive and where to go to find an employee to bring it out for you to load.

They literally tried to cancel my u-haul pod because I missed a call the day before at 1 pm (while I was at work) and returned the call 2 hours later. They told me the pod had already been given away. Nearly ruined my whole experience and delayed my already tight moving window. The employees that dropped off the pod were pleasant. That dumb call to confirm or we're canceling everything, despite that I paid it in full on day one was just stupid. THEY ONLY CALLED ONCE! I didn't even have cell phone service. Your service would be fine if they just stuck to the Damn schedule laid out before them. Expecting those random time sensitive calls was the worst part. Having the schedule that I paid for and laid out day one be questioned was insulting. I fully understand if the day of the drop off I was unresponsive, but for f sake, the day before giving away my reserved paid for pod the day before an already stressful move was ridiculous. After first drop off, they delayed my pickup without warning. It was to be dropped off Friday and picked up Sunday. I lived on a homeless filled street adjacent to a homeless park. I literally spent the entire Saturday as one person loading my pod, 10 am to 4 am (18 hours), I painstakingly and exhaustedly filled that thing to meet my expected and predetermined pickup of Sunday. Of course that was not honored, they instead changed it on me without warning to Wednesday!!! It was in a street parking spot with a 72 for hour limit before ticketing with what felt like hungry eyes of the nearby homeless eyeing my pod with curiosity the entire time. I stayed up past the aforementioned 4 am Sunday concerned for my pod's safety expecting the random call that it would be picked up. Stayed up without sleep until noon and finally called only to find out that they changed it to Wednesday without consulting me. Wtf? Eventually I got them to change it to Monday morning. This whole experience coupled with fulfilling my other stressful moving duties in personal and professional life was so savagely stressed for no reason other than that they had no concern for my predetermined schedule. I literally worked until the day I left California, I can't just arrange with my (now former) boss to be absent because of things like this. I needed the money and very narrowly lost pay because of this horrid experience over their disrespect of my promised schedule. We're all working professionals and the schedule should be honored and maintained by text unless presented otherwise. I'm adamant about when and where I want the Damn pod. Just follow the schedule and stop threatening not to honor the schedule over calls the day before. If I was unresponsive the DAY OF DROP OFF, I understand. I would understand forfeiting the $134 fee and potentially having my reservation cancelled. They should have like a lax 3 day window before to confirm if they require that. If I have a dentist appointment and they call me the week of, it's assumed I'll be there. The whole system in spite of working in the end and having good customer service was absolutely needlessly complicated and stressful. YOU NEED TO HONOR SCHEDULES AND NOT CHANGE THEM.

Our experience with u-haul in general was very positive. Unfortunately the staff at Panorama City was horrible. They didn't deliver the pods to us when they said they would. The first driver, we were told, was unable to make a right turn into our driveway. Something anyone with a driver's license can easily do. The second driver brought 2 of the 5 u-boxes and said he'd return with the other 3 soon. Instead of doing that he went home for the day so we waited hours for a 3rd driver to be found. All the while I'm paying movers to load the boxes and they're just sitting around waiting. The staff and management at Panorama City were lazy, uncaring and inept. They cost me money and made an already stressful situation way, way worse. However everyone else I dealt with was very helpful and professional. I was also told they were going to waiver the u-box delivery fee since they were a day late and so disorganized but they did not.

Your system sucks when it comes to arranging a secondary company to move the Pod. I was mislead by the original quote which said you deliver to Newport Oregon. Well you only deliver to Corvallis and I have to take care of the rest. The first company you recommended and book me with told me on the day that the Pod arrived in Corvallis that he no longer has a truck and can,t do the job. The second company I booked though your web site told me, after I made the reservation that he only works in Coos Bay and has been trying to get his named removed from the list. The third company did the job but came from Beaverton and charged twice as much as the first company. Your system in the meantime has reserved all these jobs against my credit card which has tied up close to 1000.00 on my credit card which is very inconvenient. The people involved are good but your computer system is customer un friendly.

Ordered p/u of empty U-boxes for 6/23 Received email confirmation of p/u on 6//24 Received bill 7/2 with charges for additional month. Called Uhaul who advised i was charged for an additional month of use because i was one day over 30 days and also confirmed it would be my final bill. On 7/7 received a text from buyers real estate agent after sale of house where boxes were dropped that UBoxes were STILL on the driveway. Called Uhaul again who confirmed boxes had been picked up. On 7/8 buyers real estate agent texts furious because the boxes are STILL on the driveway. Call Uhaul frantic because the money from escrow has not been released yet and I am in danger of them withholding money. At the same time I open my Uhaul account to find that the two UBoxes that I have called Uhaul twice to confirm we’re picked up are still active. I call Uhaul a third time, explain the whole story to a representative and he puts me on hold for a full 18 minutes before I am transferred to another department where l have to start all over and explain the problem again. At this point I am livid and after demanding pick up be done same day the representative managed to actually handle the problem and get them picked up. Uhaul representatives were all perfectly kind and all but this was an inexplicable waste of my time and money.

Overall, we had a great experience using U-Haul. We had not planned on UBoxes, but a truck we not available and it ended up being better. The LA communication was excellent, however the Tacoma staff was not as great about communicating but the drivers in both CA and WA where amazing.

Truck sticker didn't lie floor was hot from motor , Air conditioner would go on and off . check engine light activated just before my arriving to my destination . but the u haul truck drove well , I reserved a 26 foot truck for 10 days in July hopefully , I will not have any issues. Improve the floor board with heat shield , give repeat customers discounts on packaging materials or mileage cost .your employees are knowledgeable kind and helpful !

The gas meter was faulty, it showed 1/4 of gas but the truck stop working in less than a mile even though the screen stated 26 miles to empty when I called road assistance the agent said to wait 30 minutes, after they called me they said they couldn’t help me because the truck was fully loaded and wait for another call, 30 more minutes.I had to go and get gasoline on my own to start the truck. It wasn’t a good experience, something to think about it in the future.
