More information about texts generated by the rental process.... I was unaware of text to update where fuel levels were compared to the document I was handed.... shocked by stance on where fuel was when I picked it up and where i filled to match what I saw on gage..
Frederick KMade my reservation online, showed up on time and was delayed over an hour getting my trailer because “the system was not working, so we can’t currently let anything leave the lot.” The associate helping to hook the trailer up and go through the process was not familiar with how a trailer work. I actually had to hook the trailer up and educate her on how to properly hook the trailer up when she couldn’t figure it out and asked. Within 20 miles of the trip, one of the tires on the trailer completed separated the tread from the rest of the tire and I was delayed another hour 1.5 hours waiting for assistance because they make you download the U-Haul app and create an account in order to use the roadside assistance to come fix the tire. This location is new and may not have the kinks worked out yet, but as of now this location is a complete disaster and delayed my plans by over 2 hours.
Tyler PI am confused why I was charged a cleaning fee. There was no mention that I needed to run it through a car wash before returning. I could have done that for less than $25, but nobody mentioned anything. I would like a refund of the cleaning fee I was charged and for next time to have clear communication about any requirements to wash floormats or outside of the vehicle before returning.

Lemual TThis was my first time renting a U-Haul. The office was slow and horrible so I decided to do everything through the app. It didn’t work well but I managed to get through it. Upon return of the U-Haul I didn’t know about putting more fuel in until I returned the truck via the app. But I only dropped about 1/8 of a tank while I had it for less than 3 hours. But was already parked and returning the keys at that point. So figured I’d get a small fee. But no. It was huge. Rental went from 65 ish to 138. I’m not pleased. Probably won’t use U-Haul again. And if I do I will not be using the app.
Matthew BThis is a newer location, and there are a lot of kinks to work out. At pick up Andrew was helpful and knowledgeable, but there was no paper at the location to print a contract. He didn’t have the kit I had pre-ordered, which was fine because I found mine before I got there, but I have not received a refund on that. Because I had no contract Andrew instructed me to return at 9 AM the next morning which I did. There was a line of about 15 people picking up or returning. I dropped my trailer off, handed the plug for the lights to an employee who it was her first day, and she seemed very overwhelmed, but assured me it would get checked in. I will still rent from U-Haul for my next moving needs, but I will probably choose a different location.

William SSo glad there was the late checkout option. Had a lot of trouble doing it. The app kept saying we weren’t at the location even though we were parked right by the truck and office. Had to drive around to find a spot in the parking lot for it to decide we were there. It also kept freezing up throughout the process and dropping our progress and we had to repeat steps. Took almost an hour. Same thing when we returned it. Kept making us reload the pictures cuz it kept just dropoing the progress and making us repeat steps. It was pouring rain and super cold and we were getting drenched. Took almost half an hour to get it returned. Site was super slow and we were using the app not doing it from the website like when we checked it out.

Gary ZWhen driving it felt like it wanted to shut off on us as if there is a misfire happening or something. I felt as if the may have also been a mistake in the miles because I was charged way more. I went to Portland and back 2 times and made sure to not make extra pit stops and still. I am not happy about it but whatever is done is done.

She then insisted that I back up the 26 foot truck AND auto tow into an extremely difficult parking spot before she would accept the equipment. There was a U-Haul return in Richmond Hill, Georgia. So there was no reason U-Haul made me drive 40 miles out of my way for this experience, then would not allow me any extra miles for my trip. This was a horrible location!
