Drop box location could have been better labeled or explained specifically in the app. I was looking all over for the example that U-Haul has on their website, when it is on the sliding glass door. Would not use this location again.

Take care of one customer at a time, when I returned my truck I was there 30 min. waiting to be checked out because my attended was doing 3 or 4 other things at the same time, and it was only one customer there when I returned. Being able to multitask is good, but when u start to take care of a customer, I think u should finish with that customer before moving on to something else. Thank U!

The equipment itself was clean and in good working order. I picked it up on Feb 11th and returned it on the 12th. The problem is how unprofessional the customer service is. The guy there (the one with the afro) talks really fast and doesn't seem to care about the person he is helping. He and a lady got into a loud argument about weather he punched in for work. This argument went on for a while. These people need customer service training. And also consider sending a mystery shopper to that location during the day time

This place lacks accountability and transparency. They failed to rectify the situation though they admitted fault. No one in customer care can explain how it stated availability on the site and when I checked in a unit was “available” in their system yet the unit was occupied. A voucher was given for the mileage inconvenience yet my card had already been charge the day prior (unauthorized and unbeknownst to me). They are crooks and this isn’t the first fraudulent issue that I have dealt with at this location. You should do a deep examination of this locations financials and habits to keep them honest and accountable to all customers. I will no longer do business with U-Haul due to this issue and I pray you look at the amount of money I’ve spent t with the company to understand this lost not to mention the lost of family and friends I will be sharing my experience with.

Because of the cold weather when we first got the U-Haul truck to our location after picking it up, we could not open it due to the fact that it was frozen shut. All U-Haul locations should be aware of this and make sure that the opening at the back of the truck can be open and close prior to customer pick up. As it detained us for several hours.!

On my first call of reservation I already paid an insurance fee for my U-box, after I delivered my U-boxes, I was charged again at Columbus for an insurance not sure why. But after my order is complete, I realized there is no insurance covered for my order I am not sure where the money went. u-haul is so messed up and charges insurance for nothing. I really do not know where my money went for the insurance. I got charged for another two rental fees after my order was already completed, and the email also shown I will be charged again next month even tho my order was already completed. Idk how they r running the business

If the gas tank is not full, which is usually the case when I rent a cargo van, it is hard to refuel the truck, so I’m not giving U-Haul free gas. I would like this practice stopped.

The woman at counter believe her name was Deidra gave all kinds of attitude when I rented a U-Haul and then I went back and rented this unit and wasn’t informed that the unit was supposed to be free because I rented the truck so I paid for a unit there was no lock in my unit she threw a fit because it was part of my contract that there be a lock

I had my reservation booked for 7 AM on January 1. I had called in to double check and make sure everything was OK. I was given the greenlight for my 7 AM reservation time I get to the store on my at my designated time and the store is closed. There is a note on the door stating that the store does not open until 9 AM which I was not told of which made me delay everything else that I had that day - fast forward to to 9 AM back in the store and the door is locked, we’re waiting for about 10 minutes until someone came to open the door and was greeted with “sorry forgot to unlock the door” - Unprofessional let’s just start right there. Then we get to the cashier and it is unprofessional from the get go, the general manager, was very standoffish and was very dismissive towards our needs and didn’t seem too concerned with the fact that we had a 7 AM reservation. We then went out to get our truck and cannot find the truck there is no labels on these trucks whatsoever. we came back in to get assistance from the general manager and what do we find ?? the Manager going to the bathroom with the door wide open which was uncalled for, unprofessional and unnecessary and pretty traumatizing. So after we get our truck, we are told a very rudely that it was right there the whole time - very very condescending very rude was not having it. Then I am in the truck and the brakes are not working correctly when I hit the brake, it speeds up very very dangerous. Steering was wobbly, not good at all. Fast forward returning my truck - the lady at the desk was very rude essentially started the conversation off with what do you want in a very rude manner. It took way too long for the truck to get inspected. The entire time did not like this experience whatsoever U-Haul.

Upon arrival at this location, I followed the instructions on the app for returning he equipment. It stated for me to take a pic of where I parked the equipment. I proceeded to park in an open parking spot where other equipment was parked. A lady came over to me and, rudely, stated I parked it in the wrong spot...that I needed to leave it where I had it because she needed to clean it. She then got in the truck as I was taking a pic of where I parked it. Line I said...she was quite sassy and rude. I would NEVER recommend this location to anyone.

I am not sure who the customer service rep was that helped me on 12/29/23 evening roughly between 3:30-5PM, but she went beyond what I had expected, which is why I rated my experience so high. I was having some issues with accessing the building, so I had to keep bothering her (my words, not hers) and each time she explained in clear details what to do, and this was much appreciated because at this point I was going to leave and come back another day! Thank you for everything. Blessings!

Katrina B the assistant manager is very friendly and personable, she clearly cares a lot about doing her job well and running a good operation. The truck I was picking up had differing mileage and gas amounts from what was listed on the printed rental page, when I printed this out she wanted to make it right but her process was to have me explain this at drop off. In the future I think it would make more sense just to correct the document at the origin. Additionally the truck that I picked up had a gap between the driver's door and the frame which caused a lot of road noise. It also needed a top up on brake fluid.

The 17 foot truck had less than 1/8 tank of gasoline. Upon leaving the location the truck’s low fuel light came on, noting only 50 miles left. I was told that the truck had 1/4 fuel in the tank. When did the policy change for the truck to have less fuel than a full tank??? Upon returning the truck same day, I left 3/8 fuel in the tank. How do I know when I filled it to be what I had when checking out.? Full tank requirement policy should be reinstated

I paid $166 for a 10' truck and only drove it 10 miles. The gas used left it at a half of a tank and I only used 10 miles worth. So with that being said how did I only receive $79 back after returning the equipment clean and undamaged.

I had my storage unit at 1314 E 5th for several years until I moved out of town. It was always very secure, easy to access, & everything was well maintained! The staff was also great & when my key broke off in my lock, they even gave me a free new lock! I appreciate everything they did there to be very friendly & keep my belongings safe & secure!

I was having issues paying my bill for a few months. I finally got a job but I had stopped receiving calls and emails from U-Haul. About a month ago they emailed me saying they couldn't get in touch with me and that my things were auctioned off. However if they couldn't get in touch with me how did I receive the email. Also, the close date for my unit is the 1st of this month which still means that I could have set up a payment plan. Of now they're telling me I just have to pay and I don't think I should have to pay considering they lied saying they couldn't get in touch with me. I am TROUGHHLLY dissatisfied as disappointed wit my experience. I WLL NOT be recommending U-HAUL.

UHaul actually offered me a climate controlled unit for the next day and when I showed up with my movers, they claimed all sorts of company policy, and suggested I should pay for the lock removal. It was a pathetic handling of customer care. I won’t be recommending this site to anyone.

Unit was free of debris and no piles of dust or dirt present. Lock was secure and access was easy. A shower of dust or some other fine particles came down off the garage door each time it was opened but there was no obvious source. All in all a very good experience and the female manager who checked us in was outstanding!

Excellent agents at all locations we used. We rented three trucks and one cargo van this August 2021 as we moved two children to college and relocated ourselves to a different city. ALL the rentals went smoothly from check in to check out. Recommend 100%. Our storage unit in Columbus on E. 5th street was very clean, easily accessible, prepared with a lock and key. We did a self check-in and easily proceeded to store our extra household and seasonal items. Had two flatbeds for people to use. Great help!! Thank you! :-)

First unit had a leaking mess. Given another unit and 1 free month’s rent for the inconvenience, but kept getting charged for the free month as well as messages about being late to pay and threatening lock out for nonpayment. Had to keep going in person to clear up the issue, only to have it happen again each subsequent month.

The main gate was broken/open the entire 1hr plus we were unloading our truck. This unit was selected because it corresponded to the location I requested as drop off. That was subsequently changed and I returned the truck to a different location. While the storage unit location worked out the rest of the online Uhaul process was awful. These high marks represent the storage unit only.

The only issue I had was with the billing account system. The way it displays your payments/balance is not user-friendly. When looking at the balance column, it shows dollar balances in parenthesis. In any other system, that would mean that there is a credit on your account, but not theirs. That was a bit inconvenient because I had to take the time to try and figure it out and then email my question to the location's GM, Erin. She got back to me VERY quickly and provided a detailed explanation. I was very happy with everything about this facility and its employees though.

The truck was all over the road. It needs an alignment ASAP!!! I was told by a man named Fred that the entire process time would be 7-10 minutes. It took 50 minutes for me to get the truck and storage unit. The staff needs to be thoroughly crossed train... The the unit door would not slide back to open, so I called an employee to help me to get the door open, and by the time he got back to the unit, I had managed to get it open and unload my car... So not good!
