Kat STRUCK WAS A MESS WINDOWS DIRTY AND THERE WAS FOOD LEFT IN THE CENTER CONSOLE IT WAS AWEFUL BUT RETURNING THE TRUCK DERAK WAS VERY HELPFUL IF IT WASNT FOR HIM I WOULD HAVE GIVING POOR FOR LOCATION AS WELL !!

Kayla b | Overall ExperienceTerrible service, I returned the vehicle and wanted to hand the keys to an employee, no one was there except 3 other customers who had been waiting 15 minutes, we all took turns looking for an employee, no one could be found. Two trucks were left idling with driver side doors open. I called the location phone number and the phone rang behind the desk no one picked up. after I had waited 20-25 minutes a woman walked in. I said do you work here or are you a customer, she said unfortunately I work here. I said no one is here and we've all been waiting, she didn't apologize just said what can I do for you.

Cesar BEquipment was clean, however the driver’s door needed to be serviced for an apparent misalignment. In order to turn off the “Driver’s Door Open” message, you had to close it very hard. Overall, equipment was fairly well maintained.

ERLY SAmy was awesome as always. It would be nice if uHaul would send them some nice vehicle with modern technology like blue tooth, a USB port to charge a phone, and above all else maybe some power lock and power windows. Rowing up and down the window 16 times just to get into and out of the 2 storage facilities left my arm bicep larger than my right.

James DI rented from the U-Haul off Kings Highway near BJs Warehouse Store. It was the building next to the dog boarding and groomer business on that property. It was nice, clean, and quiet. I never had any problems renting one of their units. It is easy to pay your account online and you can use the authenticator to keep your information protected and private. I would rent from U-Haul again if needed.

The windshield was dirty and could not see well during rain, had to windex my window. Making the appointment was an absolute joke I called and got hung up on multiple times and finally when someone did talk the associate told me to just schedule on-line they won't help me. I will use another company next time & won't recommend to anyone. Also was charged for an extra day for being an hour late, when was told that it would be okay. I guess the word "okay" was we won't call the police but you will be charged for another day. Garbage, wish I had 4 thumbs so I could give my experience 4 thumbs down.

When I got to the storage bin, we realized there was storage to my vehicle on both sides from the tow dolly and the straps were wrapped around my driver side tire so now my tire was ruined, but the staff and that facility was very amazing to put my mind at ease. They gave me the number to the claims department even had me laughing, which is pretty amazing considering the trip I had in the damage done to my vehicle showed absolutely recommend this specific facility.

Carla C | Overall Experienceupon picking up my truck. the entire system (nationwide?) was down. i had to wait two hours to get my truck. as i explained to the reps that I had needed to get my truck asap so I could stay on schedule was of the upmost of importance, thankfully their repeated tries only took around 2 hours for me to be able to get my truck. after receiving the truck and around 2 hours of loading it, i realized that I could not close the door to the truck. I had already put my couch and dresser and other heavy items into the truck, and seeing how I had a 7 hour drive ahead of me, I was not pleased that I may have to unload the entire truck and repack a new one. After calling roadside assistance, and explaining the problem, they had dispatched someone to help me. This truck was brand new, and only had ~5,500 miles on it, and upon pickup I was told this is basically brand new for moving trucks. So you can imagine my surprise when the back door would not shut. While the man who arrived was extremely helpful, I was lucky enough to be told that I can keep my furniture in the truck, but he had to remove the metal cables that allowed the door to be not nearly as heavy. While I’m thankful I was still able to open and close the door, the door was now 45 pounds instead of the 20 it would be with the cables that were blocking it from shutting. Furthermore, it took about an hour and a half for the truck technician to arrive, when I was only about 15 minutes from where I had picked up the truck.

I became very agitated that none of the people at the desk were willing to get up and show me where my unit was. They just pointed, go that way and gestured with their hand. At that juncture, employee Derrick came into the store, I asked him if he could help. He walked me to the storage area, showed me my specific unit and demonstrated per the pen pad how to access entry. I think that it would be helpful that personnel understand that first impressions are lasting ones. The first person the customer meets and their willingness to assist is usually the most memorable of the experience. Overall, I would definitely use Maple shade's U-Haul business! There sometimes were no carts available, even scouring the building. This made things difficult. Overall, the staff was friendly - especially the manager Amy. But there is one employee in particular who seemed a bit zoned out.

He said he could secure my reservation and answered a few of my questions. He too ( Like the voicemail states ) assured me my first month’s rent was free! Upon arrival, Amy listed stipulations for the free month concerning the truck.....I told the gentleman in the am I only needed the truck to transport several items 5 minutes away. Still guaranteed my first month would be free......Well , she refused to honor this. After this , she then said she had to secure my card in the amount of $ 100.00 when I used a debit card and the fee was $ 39.00 something, the rest would be credited back......MADE NO SENSE EITHER......We return the truck and a very lethargic girl is sitting very low to the ground texting on her phone. No friendliness or eye contact. This has been a horrible experience all the way around. Inside the building , the corners are dirty also....Cobwebs etc. Very unacceptable

KIM H | First ImpressionsMy unit is in an unmarked building next to your main building that has appropriate signs. I had to go in and the rep walked me all the way to the building. While I did sincerely appreciate her assistance, that was a bit too difficult. I guess the building is new. Secondly, although there is a security door with a code, a second entry is required just ten feet from the first one. Why? Thirdly, there was a totally unlocked door 75 feet away that any stranger could access. While I believe an alarm would sound if a unit was opened without a code being entered at the main door, what about someone who is more interested in vandalism?

Email rent reminders state "If you are set up on autopay your bill will automatically be paid." so I assumed no action was needed but a late fee was charged. Manager Amy Lucas was initially very responsive via email indicating "I will take care of this right away" 7/16 however my $45.89 credit was never received and follow-up emails on 8/8 went unanswered. I understand mistakes happen during enrollment but the lack of resolution is unacceptable.

I wished they would have told me in advance so I could have made other arrangements.

The issue appears that the local store and the reservation online do not communicate with each other so well. Thankfully the local store was able secure a unit for me. BIGGEST FLAW IS ACCESS HOURS. i spent 4 hours driving to my storage location, and upon arrival (10:30 pm) i cannot get the door to open. i call several times with no answer. i call the national line and i’m on hold for 30 more minutes. they tell me there’s nothing they can do. i check my email, it CLEARLY STATES: “24 hour access to your belongings”, but they lock the doors at 10??? what kind of madness is this…

We called for help an no one at the 800# would do anything to help. Half my help left because we had no carts to use. I was using a UHaul truck to move everything and the delay put me back a day and cost me time and money. I will never rent a storage unit from you again and I will tell others not to also!

The young man checking me in was speaking with someone standing next to him and was distracted. He was distracted enough that he gave me the wrong storage unit and the manager notice when I called her for help because the map didn’t match the actual floor plan. Mask sign is on the door to wear a mask but the staff either didn’t have one on or it was hanging under their noses or under their chins. The building doesn’t have a working computer system so the doors are just propped open all day. I understand the units are locked but security of the building is non existent! I was not walked out to the van to check it nor did he even tell me where it was or which one it was. I was told to try the key in them to see which one it opens. The manager was helpful when I did ask a question which I appreciated.

Generally U-Haul of Maple Shade was very patient, accommodating and flexible during the unit selection process and processed unit transfer(s) as necessary (that ensured I obtained the appropriate unit size and pricing for my needs). However, in my encounters of other frontline staff workers I experienced lackadaisical personas and unprofessionalism: Individuals who were not as knowledgeable or thorough, an initial failure to request updated contact information to bring my profile current, and an attempt to dissuade my need for unit transfer on site (in the absence of Mgr Amy Lucas). Ultimately, all my concerns and the required system updates were addressed and rectified upon receipt of follow-up call from Manager Amy Lucas who ensured 100% customer satisfaction!
