Brandon lI arrived for my scheduled appointment in Northboro and was told that they did not have a person to install the hitch on Monday. They offered to reschedule me in Leominster and Caleb and texted a confirmation for 11am Wednesday. Leominster knew nothing about it and did not have a person to do it at 11am. The Service ! Manager had to work with IT to schedule it and I had to wait an hour for a tech to arrive and do it. The Service Manager was great at coping with it but UHaul and it’s reservation system was a disaster and unreliable.

Isac AMissing bolts from my trim and bumper. When the pro hitch installer removed my bumper and reinstalled it, they never put the bolts back in causing all of my rear tire trim on both sides to be very loose.

LYNN MWhen we called in the morning on 1/21/24 we got put on hold several times and waiting at least 15 mins. We called from several different phones and same thing.. Finally we called the NH store (people we know) they answered phone right away and answered our questions and booked the trailer we needed…..When we showed up at CENTRAL STREET location I mentioned it and she just said sorry and didn’t care as when we got there she hung up her phone talking to her boyfriend or other saying “. OKAY I HAVE TO HANG UP, LOVE YOU” otherwise it was completely quiet in there. We had a time commitment and needed a rental in a timely manner and it didn’t happen. Once we had all computer work done the ladies just looked at us in silence and I said okay what do we do now go hook it up ourselves and the other said oh I can go help. My boyfriend pretty much had to hook the trailer up himself while the other woman helped out very little…. When we returned it the same day there were both woman we talked to in the morning and two guys at desk, all quiet on phones some eating which is fine and I had to ask them because I wasn’t even talked to what we needed to do to return trailer. Pretty much told us to leave it in the yard, went back in asking if I get a return slip and they said it would be emailed but he had no idea who I was and what I returned as far as a trailer number. So he proceeded to find me and then documented it that I returned it. In the meantime the woman we dealt with in the morning came out of the back room with a broom in her hand and say “Um mam your stepping in my trash”. I looked at her like what? Are you kidding me, how did I not see trash on the floor and now I am stepping in it 🤔. There was no trash on the floor as it was a SMALL PILE OF SAND! I am a professional and I have NEVER seen CUSTOMER SERVICE like this EVER!!!! This experience here on this day what TERRIBLE and will NEVER rent here again for anything, and will NEVER recommend it either…… We still can’t believe how this experience went……

Richard LThe best reason for recommending this location is for the service I receive each and every time. As a home stager, I rent frequently and the staff knows who I am. They are never less than courteous and helpful in every way. With my most recent experience, I had forgotten that my credit card on file was canceled due to fraudulent charges during the holiday. Because I had not yet received the new one, Natalie went out of her way to try various payment methods in order to allow my corporate discount and get my rental truck on the road quickly and efficiently. There is a notable team effort at this store and I attribute it to the store manager, Natalie. For this reason, I will continue to recommend this Leominster location over and over again.

This is the first time i have had a bad experience based on the truck itself Issues include smell of cab appeared to be stale cigarette smoke to the point of making sick to stomach. Drivers visor was ripped off and was sitting against back wall of cab. Dome light cover was on floor and there was no bulb in light so there was no interior lighting. Drivers side window crank was broken making it difficult to open/close window. One of the headlights was out.

Upon my arrival, the customer service desk was unattended for several minutes, forcing me to call out for assistance. The responding employee, arriving from the parking lot, exhibited a strong odor of marijuana, as did another worker who appeared later. While their behavior wasn't overtly problematic, it struck me as highly unprofessional. The checkout process was expedient, though the staff member's demeanor was perfunctory rather than attentive. I was informed that the fuel tank was half full and that I needed to return it at the same level to avoid additional charges. In my haste, I didn't verify this until I had reached the van, where I noticed the fuel gauge was just a hair's breadth below the halfway mark. Given my tight schedule and not wanting to quibble over minor details, I chose not to return to the office to report this discrepancy. After using the van for my purposes, I conscientiously refueled it, ensuring it was more than adequate for the distance traveled. I even added a bit extra to be sure, with the gauge clearly showing the needle right on the halfway mark, slightly higher than when I picked it up. It's also important to note that my milage came in slightly under what I estimated. However, I was dismayed to discover an additional charge on my credit card statement from U-Haul, separate from the already steep $98 rental fee for just three hours of use. When I contacted them to rectify this issue, my request was dismissed on the grounds that I should have contested the fuel level before leaving the premises. This incident raises significant concerns about U-Haul's business practices, particularly in how it seems to favor minor financial gains over customer satisfaction and trust. The negligible difference in the fuel level, almost impossible to measure with precision, leading to additional charges, appears as a deliberate tactic to extract more money from customers. Moreover, the apparent lack of a drug-free work environment may contribute to such oversights and inaccuracies in service. While I understand that businesses must operate profitably, compromising on professional standards and customer experience for marginal financial benefits is a short-sighted strategy that risks damaging long-term customer relationships.

However the other girl was a sweetheart and very nice and pleasant. If your job is working with the people you have an obligation to be respectful. If you can't get another job.

I will say that my entire experience of renting a truck with an appliance dolly (given furniture dolly), had to go to another uhaul facility to get an appliance dolly and was charged for that plus held $60, extended the truck rental, spoke to a person after I seen the ad in the truck for the storage unit, she messed up on setting up the storage unit and told me she was putting in that I could then keep the truck until 12, got to the storage unit and lost over an hour while the staff fixed the women's mistake. Was the worst experience ever. Except the wonderful staff at the Leominster mass uhaul storage facility.

I had every problem with the place I dropped my U-Haul at and with being charged late fees that was fraudulent. if I hadn't taken photos of my car dropping off the U-Haul the person in charge of submitting this information would have gotten away with this. I dropped my U-Haul at a different location from my storage unit. he claimed I turned in the U-Haul a day late when in fact it was a day early. thanks to my photos and the people at the storage unit I have a claim and reciept that says I will Eventually recieve my refund. I have spent hours waiting to speak to someone only for the phone to hang up on me. and then to receive no help from anyone online. the only person to help me were the people at the storage unit. i had to file a claim through them and reopen it several times bc I still haven't received my refund for the fees. I had to call the storage manager again bc he's the only one who has helped me bc to this day I still haven't received my refund. I wouldn't recommend renting from U-Haul to anyone bc of how much time it takes to speak to anyone and how little they care. by the way it's been over a month and I still haven't received my refund. this was terrible and I deserve a bigger refund for how much time I have spent on this. this service besides you having one kind and caring employee has been terrible. reference number 3721448

The guy that supposedly “fixed” it only had to put a bigger washer in the back of the door because the door is worn out were the screw is. But no.... he decided to force the screw tight. Only to realize it wasn’t aligned & then grabbed a drill and just made the lock hole bigger, instead of doing the job properly. You tell me that isn’t some ghetto carpentry 🤦🏻♀️. I know for a fact that it’s going to get loose again. If he would’ve fixed it properly he wouldn’t have to come back again when it loosens up again. The lazy work harder & double. I sure hope they don’t try to charge me for something that was already messed up.. mind you that I said yes to the unit ONLY because he said it was going to get fixed for proper use. I’m not the happiest camper but I’m happy with the storage space & the facility is very clean. Just that 1 little detail would’ve given U-haul a 5 star rating but I have to be realistic, so there you have it.
