greg gravesI was surprised by the mileage fee. I didn't notice that when I reserved the vehicle. Also the vehicle I reserved was not available, so I was given a much larger one, which was OK except that it guzzled much more gas than the smaller vehicle would have.

laurie wardiusThis was the best Uhaul truck I have ever rented, and I have rented a few over the years. It drove well, the rolling rear door worked normally and not dragging to operate. As we were self checking in the rental truck the male employee came over and was slightly rude, we let know that we self checked in and he said that doesn't matter and he "was" checking it out, I asked if we were ok and he said if things check out with him. He could of been actually nice

James MacLeanWell to Start off I'm Disabled. I went in on Wednesday and gave the girl, She was pleasant all my info she put it in the computer. When I went to pick it up I was Very Disappointed. He couldn't find any information that I had given the girl the day before.HeTold me the computers don't retain that info ?? Okay ?? So I had to go through the same thing that I went through the day prior. The Man that worked with me was Not pleasant at all. After going through all my info again and him entering it. He tossed the key to me and told me to go out and find the truck that matched the key, but he didn't know where it was located I would have to find it. Okay, I started out this memo I am Disabled. Why he couldn't go out and bring the truck up for me was unsettling. So I had to get in my truck drive around find the U-Haul that matched the number then go park my truck and with my cane walk all the way back to the U-Haul to get in. Then back to my truck to get my personal belongings. I want to also add the truck ran terrible it was like driving a Harley in a semi at the same time. Puffing up the roads, I think I can, I think I can. Worst U-Haul experience I've ever had. And I have used them quite a few times in the past. All those vehicles ran great. Between the bitter treatment of the attendant and the performance of the truck. Out of 1 to 10 scale one being the worst 10 being the best as struggle to give it a 3. The man there had dark hair not the gray haired man. He needs to brush up on his customer service skills. And also perhaps a little empathy for disabled people, send me out to find my own truck ?? I even said I have to go out and find the truck myself ?? He says yep, it's out there not sure where though. 🤯

Robert SloanThe service was impeccable, the staff were friendly, effective and patient. The trailer itself though, was dirty, but then again, that's a typical Michigan problem now isn't it? A little dirt never hurt anyone and the trailer performed well, we had a safe and easy trip down to Florida with it. I will say the trailer was a little dinged up, but then again, most people don't know how to actually haul using a trailer nor care enough to be careful with it. Thankfully, I do. Great experience, couldn't ask for a more seamless transaction and experience!

The fact that the gentleman that helped me with my return acted as if i knew nothing or as if i was burdening him by being there irritated me greatly. I am a Class A truck driver i likely know more about coupling and un coupling a trailer then he probably does yet i dont let my knowledge get to my head

steve allenThe truck was unsafe and dangerous to drive. It was very loud with air whistling through the windows and doors! I had to wear my earbuds the entire 500 plus miles to drown out the noise! Every time this was a bump the truck bounced up and down it felt like the shocks were shot! The truck was super dirty too! Apparently, after returning it to the location in Crossville Tennessee at Franklin Place U Haul & Storage the manager Kathy said that this truck should’ve never been rented out to me because there was a notification in a blue! Behind the truck number DC2056H to notify traffic, and that this truck should’ve stayed in our in “R” rotation in Louisville, Kentucky! Therefore, I want a refund this was negligent and unsafe!

Cathy Daniels | Overall ExperienceThe truck roof leaked. Outside was there was a light dusting of snow, but enough water entered the truck to flood the floor of the mom's attic area over the cab. I had to delay loading of the truck until after the weather cleared. Overnight the water froze inside the truck, so come morning I was scraping ice out of the cargo area. I stuffed rags above the ceiling beams to prevent more water from dripping down on my boxes. In the end I moved my things without damage, but it was a lot of trouble and time wasted. When I returned the truck I reported the leak to the staff, and they seemed quite unconcerned about it.

The attendant was friendly and got me in and out quickly. ... except- I requested the mobile pick up and accordingly feel like I shouldn't have had to go inside. The mobile pickup is probably slower but doing both was even slower, at a time where I did not have extra minutes to spare.
jayleena mullinsThe staff at the Jackson, MI Uhaul location were very collaborative and welcoming. They worked especially well with me to arrange an installation time that fit both our schedules. My only suggestion would be to heat the waiting area better. For December, it was quite cold.

However, the prices for storage and far too expensive. I’ve had storage units over the years from Indiana, to Michigan, to New York (the cost of living there is three times the cost of the Midwest) and the storage units here are by far the highest.

Tavita Talev | First ImpressionsThe Assistant manager talked to me like I was illiterate then she explained to me like I could only use one machine to swipe my card when I went out there to swipe my card it was froze there I had to go back to the office and someone else told me I could of just swiped my card inside then when I went back out there I couldn’t move the lock over to open the door so I went back to the office the assistant manager was frustrated and told me she couldn’t go out there with me just get something and bang on the door and try and open it so I tried that and it still didn’t work so I went back up there a third time now I’m mad and Melissa was out there and I walk in yelling at this point so Melissa was very nice and pleasant and she told me she had to punch out and then she came out and helped me get the door open and told me she would be there the next day if I needed any more help.

Noone knew anything about it when we got there. We did get the boxes brought out so we could unload them but it was a hassle. Also I was supposed to get a call from the location about the payment on my uboxes on Tuesday or Wednesday but noone called me. So I just paid almost $400 for the 3 boxes even tho I only had them for 2 days after the payment. I was very dissatisfied with the fact I had to pay $400 for 2 days of having the boxes.

I had problems with my storage unit from the MOMENT I signed the lease, and wouldn't have signed at all if I wasn't stuck. The people working never answer the phone, and have such an awful attitude. And when I tried to call your corporate number for customer service, it was an equally awful experience and I was stuck dealing with it. Finally able to move my things out - NEVER giving your company another time of my money or second of my time, EVER.

Also, I wanted to share that Ryan is an incredible leader at the Ames Iowa Uhaul site located at Duff. Ryan works harder than most people who own businesses. He either owns the Uhaul and/or he’s passionate about making the moving experience a good one. Honestly, when it comes to me moving, Uhaul has a very happy and determined staff — set on making moves easy, friendly and efficient. I appreciate the way Uhaul handles things and swear that this is one of America’s unsung essential services that really needs a round of national applause, and if all goes as planned; I intend to share this message with leadership in the government. It seems to me that moving is one of the most stressful times in a persons life span. Uhaul has, so far, never let me down. Uhaul: I’m impressed you allow people to set a promissory note. In Ames, and in Jackson, there was no hate or degrading comments for the person who asked about that matter. Nationally, who does that?; unless you declare your a business (not many companies). I am a new business owner and this move is establishing a new business where demand exists for the services we offer. In a Pandemic, to have a moving company behave in that way makes the entire rental experience more meaningful and significant in humanitarian ways. Thanks!

When moving out we had set a arrangement up to move our stuff out a few days after the rent was due but we explained we had to go out of state for a funeral and they were fine with it. When we went to move our stuff out they “had no recollection of the conversation “ and forced us to pay a months worth of rent that we weren’t going to use. The owner/manager John is NEVER there. Everyone was rude but one lady who works part time.

I was dumbfounded and knew at three months they sell off my stuff .... this is wrong of uhaul not to work with people when life is so bad right now ! shame shame on uhaul.... but big plus and a gold star to the only employee Teresa that was kind and very helpful thank you to her
