Reserved 15 foot truck 30 days in advance. One way long distance move. Multiple people and services at both load and unload locations depending on Uhaul to fulfill the reservation. 24 hours prior the Inglewood location tells me no 15 foot available. Instead they put me in a 10 foot + trailer. The trailer made a simple easy trip absolutely horrible. 30 day reservations don't mean anything to Uhaul. Penske does this kind of last minute bomb drop FAR LESS...thus I'm using Penske from now on.

THIS rental was great!!!! The truck was immaculate inside and the box was VERY clean this time (someone actually took time to wash and sweep it, before renting it out; go figure 🫨). The whole thing smelled good, there was gas in it and there were no mechanical issues like last time🫠. I also received great, kind, warm customer service by a young man named Malik 😇 I keep mentioning cleanliness because I pick up clothing, food and skin products, so a CLEAN RENTAL (that I'm ACTUALLY PAYING FOR quite often) is ESSENTIAL and is NOT asking too much. Q: What can be done to improve for the next customer?? A: Make sure the trucks are well-maintained and totally clean for each customer, EVERY TIME. Give GOOD, POLITE CUSTOMER SERVICE and DO NOT treat customers like they're a "problem" just because they expect a clean, dirt-free rental, that doesn't smell like piss, smoke or dog hair, etc 🫠. Make customers feel welcome, especially when they're always nice. The bare basics😉

You guys dont have customer service. I dont get free stuff from you guys. Really bad service i call in advance for recervation at Western and Venice blvd then later i received a call to pick up the truck at ingleewood the was 9.20 miles away from my home. Then the truck dont have gasoline I put 40 dollars at 76 gas station in century blvd. The service I received from this uhaul stayion was HORRIBLE SERVICE. The agents need to have maners. The first truck not gas and the light was blinking meaning no gasoline plus the couldnt move because the truck was blocked. Then the second truck No gasoline plus the lady who drove the truck hit two other uhaul trucks you can checlk your cameras videos from 8am to 9am your agents from this station hit two trucks. What king of service is that. My wife called spoke with someone over the phone. And agents called 3 times no one answered at this station. Come on. I never had this nasty service from you guys. As customer I make recervation from were I requested and you guys send me 9.2 miles away. Come on. I very Upset. As Uhaul interstate huge company provoded me this service. The agent from this station need special training how to provide CUSTOMER SERVICE.. EMPLOYEES DONT PROVIDE SERVICE TO CUSTOMER MEANING DONT LIKE WHAT THEY DO. Im very upset I spend more money for moved my stuff to Noth Hollywood. I DONT GET FREE STUFF from you guys. As customer we deserve a great customer service we paid to rent a truck and verify how much I paid for 10 inches truck. And HOPEFULLY in future day have and provide Great CUSTOMER service we paid for truck rental Nothing its free..

Our contactless pickup was set for another location, but the other location apparently didn't reserve the truck, call or leave keys for us. I called customer service to try figuring out what was going on, spoke to 2-3 different reps, was hung up on by two of those reps and was told by the third that we had to go to a completely different location to get a different truck. Overall, it was an extremely upsetting process, especially when it came to customer service when I called each and every time and was consistently hung up on. The Inglewood location and staff was great, but customer service on the corporate end needs a TON of work and improvement. I would like a partial refund for this incredible trouble which delayed our packing for our out-of-state move. This could have been helped if customer service acted correctly on our behalf to ensure we were taken care of. Please have a manager contact me regarding this issue. Lindsay Rojas 480-335-3149

I have been renting from this location for years and I would normally give them 5 stars but this experience was the worst! The keys for the truck didn’t work - it took like 10 to 15 min of jiggling every time the the keys were taken of of the ignition. The ramp on the truck didn’t work. I tried calling the location to let them know and they didn’t pick up. Because of these failures, my movers dropped my washing machine, we went over budget on labor and time and we brought the vehicle back late. They charged us full rate for this. They he best part is now they are saying they never received the vehicle. Good thing I got a copy of the receipt.

I used three different storages, as of now only one has been turned in because I no longer need it. My concern with it was the door from the outside was in a broken condition each time however, I was able with the staff's help to enter to get to my storage room.

I was originally supposed to pick up from this location 1201 N La Brea Av Inglewood, CA 90302. 0/10 experience there. The truck I was meant to use had a pool of water which means that there was no protocol put in place to ensure that it was ready for the next customer. This was extremely disappointing and an incredible inconvenience as it set me back two hours for my set move out time. Disappointed in how U-Haul went about it. Will not be recommending anyone to that location. Danny at the 964 location was amazing.

First, the address provided on the original booking did not include a Uhaul location. It was a cigar store. Uber driver knew of La Brea location and took me there. After contract was terminated and reassigned by La Brea personnel, I was provided a vehicle. I stopped 1 1/2 miles away to fill up and it had a leak in the gas tank. Made it back without blowing up and was provided a replacement vehicle. NOT a good experience.

Horrible experience. The first truck I received had a hole in the gas tank upon filling up the truck. I had to return it immediately. The second truck had a nail in the tire and I had to call roadside assistance to fix it. Upon returning the truck and dropping the keys off at the Arbor Vite and Hawthorne location I get a call saying the keys weren't there and they couldn't find the truck. I come to find out the truck was stolen off the uhaul lot and I was being told I was responsible for it eventhough I locked the truck and placed the keys in the Dropbox. The vehicle was found today almost 30 days later and I received a bill for almost 7k. We spoke to the manager at both locations to review the cctv on the 30th to show that we returned the vehicle to the proper location, but got nowhere until weeks later when IT and the manager confirmed we did indeed return the truck. This was a pure mess. I hope corporate finds this horrible review.

The customer service experience was sub-standard at best. There were two young adults, one male and one female. The female was playing derogatory music on her phone and they both were singing along with the music verbalizing every profane word. Instead of engaging with me, the customer, they both were more interested with their personal concerns. I, as a customer should not be subject to such unprofessional and inconsiderate behavior. The equipment was damaged, but it was not seen by uhaul or me since if you open the cargo door to the truck it completely covered the hole. So unfortunately it rained and my items got wet inside. However, uhaul was apologetic and Danny the manager helped correct the problem right away. He was very serious about not wanting to hand over damaged and temporarily unusable equipment until it is fixed. I appreciate Danny and the rest of the staff treating my issue with good customer service and solutions. Thank you for helping correct the problem.

Most of my U-Haul experience was not very good. The best part of my experience with U-Haul was the woman running the counter at the Inglewood location. I think her name was Brianna. She had a line out the door and was attending to three different customers at once and doing a great job of it. She’s great.

Calvin and Yari (or whatever her name was). She was an older short lady were rude. I came in waited to he helped, Yari stated everyone was on lunch yet they all were sitting around talking about nothing. Calvin did the reservation and had rude tone the entire time as if I was bothering him. Compared to other locations, the customer service needs a big improvement. Also, there’s no where to park when unloading your stuff. They have trucks lined up in front of the doors and leave a one car spot for everyone to unload which is asinine.

I know the lights are motion detected. Yet I did not like how they just shut off and I had to stop clearing my storage to get the lights on again. Otherwise it would be good lighting. I had originally arranged a few weeks in advance. I called to confirm a few days I have the time, the day before and the morning of 3 times. I was told that you Box would be there and ready and I was on a very tight schedule because I had other people helping me. When I arrived, there was no U Box. A woman working there was very rude I was a returning a truck and she wasn't helpful at all and actually started yelling at me and acting out. Because there was no U Box and I had to unload the truck to return Ito return it and get my stuff put away somewhere, I was forced to take the only thing available a 7 by 10 storage unit which costs twice as much as the U Box.. I was told there was nothing else available. I feel like I was hijacked and manipulated into doing this . I contact the owner but he was no help.

Person who’s shirt said he was the owner was not helpful at all. Said haul should not have made the reservation because they haven’t had that size unit in a long time. I ordered a 4x9 and he gave me a 7x7 a block away. When I looked at unit I was amazed at what they were passing off as safe storage units. Plywood walls and door with chicken wire for a ceiling.

The was ABSOLUTELY THE WORST EXPERIENCE I've ever had not only with U-Haul but with any retail/rental establishment in my life. Not only was the U-box I reserved not available, I was told the only person who could drive the forklift and get it for me "Just left on a 2 hr. break". I was told it would be ready in the morning and I went at noon. The woman at the counter initial Retta was rude and nasty with a bad attitude. When I went in to return the vehicle and let her know that I had a U-box reserved, she abruptly cut me off mid-sentence and loudly demanded, "Did you check in?", I tried to speak, and she asked the same question again. When I explained that it was my first time at that location and I did not know what the procedure was, she continued to demand if I had checked in. As if, she could not give me further information unless I had checked in. I told her that was what I was trying to do and held up the paper work. She waved her hand that I had to check in-I assume she was pointing to some direction, but it was not clear. I told her I had not seen any signs explaining the procedure, she said, "they are all out there". So I walked out and saw signs on the far side of the lot. I could have just turned left out of the store door, had she told me, but I didn't know. So I walked to the end of the lot and followed the green signs around the lot to the check in area. There, I was told about the absent, U-box. A young man named Christopher took me inside to the counter to speak with Edwin. Who confirmed there was no U-box. I explained that I had tried to tell, Retta, but she was rude, cut me off and would not listen to me. At at that point, Retta started talking over me (even though she was with another customer and down the counter and I was talking to Edwin) She loudly continuiously chanted, "Oh I'm rude, she said I'm rude, well your're rude, oh I'm rude huh? I'am rude, she said I'm rude) on and on for at least 15 minutes. All the while, Edwin was trying to call another location to find available storage. Eventually, she left the counter. I had to people with me who only had a short amount of time to help me unload into my missing Ubox and check in the truck. With all the confusion, it took too long and I had not choice but to take any available storage unit at this location, so that I could unload the truck and my helpers could be on their way. I ended up having to pay for a storage space that is $199 per month. That is almost $90 more than a U-box! Then, with the delay, we still had to unload the truck and turn it in. It was a disaster and took much longer than it should have. Retta was horrible and has not people much less customer skills. There was no manager there to resolve the situation. When I called the manager the next day. He simply said, "I will speak to her". I am beyone upset about this. I feel taken advantage because I had to take the only thing available to me, since what I ordered and was promised I called the 800 number that morning to reconfirm it would be there when I arrived. So I'm stuck with paying more per month. This is just wrong. How can U-Haul do this to customers and treat customers this way?

I was never called, emailed, or sent a letter regarding my storage being sold. I called numerous times and no one called back. No one ever answers at the Inglewood location and now all of my things have been sold. That’s not fair and I will be contacting your CEO.

After arriving at your U-haul on Fir the 23 Oct 2020. I had just drove 3 day from Florida too wait 30 minutes for counter service. Only one customer service person. I had to return my Vehicle tow and empty the truck BUT the pass key would not work! and they could not get it fixed. I have to return again today and try and empty my truck. I hope the key works. I was not aloud to leave the truck on the lot. ! I had to park on the street. I hope I don't have a ticket .

Local facility was great. The issues with U-Haul center around the ability to communicate with local facility due to centralized phone system, (that always takes forever to get a rep, even pre-COVID), and difficulty with on line presence.

You should tell customers at the moment of reservation for trucks that the appliances dolly is a 1st come 1st serve basis. I stored for almost a year and when I was ready to move my stuff I had to go rent a dolly from Home Depot. Thank you for everything.

I tried to call Ricardo Hernandez 4 times and he never called me back. I received a late fee for 20.99 and a Lien fee for 50,00 in less than 30 days. During this day and time during the Corona Virus / with an order to stay home I would think there would be some type of grace period. Not a place I wont to visit again or recommend.
