Teach your personnel to be courteous: say hello to customers is a basic. Explain the charges. They were all hiding behind: “I am talking to my boss now”. Who is that fucking boss they keep talking to for not talking to the customer in front of them?

I give it an average because Upper Management Staff really work w/ their customers when it comes to the finance part to keep you from losing items you work so hard to buy ( Wendy is her name). The instore staff are Ignorant, Unprofessional, and have no work ethics! They move as slow as a turtle, they avoid eye contact, no warm welcoming greeting ...Just Horrible! There were mice dropping and urine on many of my items I discarded a lot of items that were in boxes as the critters seemed to chew their way threw. Thank God most of my belongings were stored in plastics bins, but the bins w/o covers took a hitting. Let me not forget to mention, during my first week of service with UHaul, one of the idiot workers put a rat trap box on top of one of my boxes! This place should be avoided like a PLAGUE!

The truck's engine wasn't sounding so great, and all 4 side mirrors were entirely non-adjustable, making it an unsafe vehicle on any road with traffic. The online check-in process was a waste of time. I walked around to find my truck just to be told to go inside and wait in line to get the key from a clerk who seemed to have no idea how online check-in works. I never got a recepit for the whole rental. I got a receipt for the gas, but that is is.

There was not a drop of gas in the vehicle but I was told it had it had a little less than a quarter tank and I should bring it back with that much in it. Also I'm convinced the mileage in the truck was tampered with. I had to pay for an additional 200+ miles when my destination was only 15 miles away. I would have had to go back and forth 4 or 5 times to accumulate that mileage and I only had the truck for 1 day. Uhaul stole $300 from me and I will make it my business to tell other people not to do business with Uhaul.,

The guy Darron didn’t communicate well at all. I expressed concerns and he didn’t handle it professionally. Van was dirty, mileage was 150 off and gas tank was a quarter off. He didn’t fix or print out new sheet, just initialed form. Made my check out process difficult

We rented a 20ft truck to drive 230 miles. Through rain sleet and snow. After reaching our destination the truck accelerated when applying the brakes on 3 different occasions. We pit in a complaint when returning the vehicle. They took the vehicle out of service. I called the 800 number to voice my complaint. This was a Friday.On Monday morning I called again. another call Monday afternoon. Still waiting for a supervisor to return my call. We are thankful that we weren’t in an accident .

This is my second U-Haul experience, and it way surpassed the other one. I was helped quickly by a professional, kind, well-informed staff member at the counter, and another employee was already getting the cargo van ready for me. The van itself was very clean, nearly brand new. It's odd to say, but I look forward to renting again from this location when I have transport needs. The price and quality of the rental, and the staff, were absolutely fantastic.

I didn't realize the online process that had to be done. When I got to the location to pick up I had to do a registration. It would have been great to just do it all at home before coming. There were several people who were confused and also did not realize this had to be done. Since there was no office open to sit we were all standing in the cold trying to register on our phones. It was alittle confusing but we go through it

After I moved in and returned my truck. The worker Joseph saw my two pairs of new shoes in the front windshield and I forgot them. He admitted to seeing my shoes and now they're stolen. I need to file a claim. Worst experience ever.

Everything worked fine! Having a storage unit available for up to a month made the weird time between apartment leases much more convenient. I did call to change storage units before arrival because it wasn't initially clear what exactly it meant when a storage unit was "split-level." Had I rented one of those units, I think my experience would have been different -- thankfully, a ground-level unit was available when I needed it.

On Saturday March 19th 2022 I personally had an issue this specific time I entered the U-Haul storage on 150 Fairmount Avenue. The issue could have been avoided of this quiet location for many U-Haul trucks and more were not short staff memebers. In the past I have had positive experiences with U-Haul. In the past I have even had positive experience within the 150 Fairmount Avenue location.

Some of my items had to be thrown away due to water damage and old and. O one reached out to advise me . They just covered up the remain items and changed the lock . Prior to this a few months earlier after paying off my outstanding balance and wishing to remove my items while I was in town they couldn’t find anyone to remove the lock which caused me to have to foot the bill for several more months until my net return to Boston!

It’s Unprofessional to have an unprofessional teenager attend to adults whom have no mannerism! Secondly your company never answers their phones! EVER! Third, when booking on line you refuse to show pictures or details of the storage units. For example. I never knew there were top and bottom storage units which is very dangerous btw! I booed online for a unit to store my sofas and of course (without any knowledge or information) it just so happened that I was given the top unit. How do one manage to store sofas on a top unit locker? To top it off there were no more units available. So o instead had to go to another storage facility which is called Extra Space Storage. I even recommend Uhaul’s staffs to utilize them! Extra space staffs are professional, helpful quick fast and easy! I will NEVER use Uhaul again! EVER

Customer service at the Hyde Park location is a hit and miss. I went there on 2 separate days. The chubby black boy behind the counter was probably the rudest customer service representative I have ever encountered. He wouldn't look at me while speaking because he was too busy texting and giggling at his phone and when he endeavored to look up from his phone he had a rancid look on his face like my presence there was absolutely repulsive; he wouldn't respond when I asked questions and raised his voice at me for asking a question about payment...I don't know if he is being forced to work this job but that is none of my concern. If you have a job where you are the face of a company but you are incapable of common human decency (not even customer service-level decency), you should quit and do something else that would make you less miserable. He gave me keys to a truck but didn't walk out with me to inspect the truck, and there were not that many people in the store to prevent him from doing so. The following day I went to this same location and another black man and especially the Hispanic lady behind the counter were superb. Even though I had to wait in a queue until it was my turn, when it was my turn, the Hispanic lady treated me like I was the most important customer and I could see that she applied the same level of patience, respect and care with every other customer before me. She needs to be given the job of teaching other uhaul workers what customer service really is, and also given a pay raise.

My access card has not worked, I always have to ask someone for assistance. This location is pretty busy so if it would be ideal for the machine /system to work. so I don't have to wait for someone to unlock the door. I pay every month for the service, the least I need is for it to work. Staff needs customer service training. People come in with an attitude or are very stressed. people are moving so understand they will come me with attitude, not towards you, so the staff doesn't have to give ppl hard time, they need to talk nicely and properly so the customer doesn't feel rush or not understood.

Darron and Jesus at Hyde Park, MA location provided great customer service with their flexibility, knowledge, recommendation, problem-solving and courtesy. They represented U-Haul professionally and deserve a lot of credit for its success. Online U-Haul leaves a lot to be desired because paying online was a nightmare. The app was just as bad. It would show paid and then we would still receive a bill with a late fee! Horrible! So U-Haul needs to work that out!

The unit reserved came with a free lock. There was not a lock on the unit and the sales representative stated that the unit did not come with a lock. Ultimately, after showing documentation that confirmed the unit came with a lock, I was provided a lock, but the representative presented that she was doing me a favor. Would have been nice not to go through that at all. But no big deal
