I was very disappointed in my service I received. I had to pay twice for a uhaul because the quick stop they sent me to there wasn’t anyone there. Then the manager Darrnel at Hyde park was very unprofessional and ignorant. I asked him to help me figure out why I had to pay again . He told me that wasn’t his job and I can call customer service myself. I will never go back to that location I probably won’t ever use uhaul again. Then on top of that I was give the truck at 1/4 of tank and I brought it back at 1/8 and he and he said that you guys charge extra because it’s below half a tank. But I was given the truck below half a tank and it probably only would’ve cost 10 to get it back at where I got it. This was just a terrible experience all together and I’m very disappointed in the service I received.

customer service was not good at all. they were rude on the phone when we called to find out about final charges to the credit card and what had been paid as a deposit. argued with us, instead of just explaining calmly and said that they had a lot of people in the store right then, and i should just come down there and talk to them in person and they couldn't help me on the phone. it was very disrespectful and not handled professionally at all. also, it took us over 30 minutes to find the late night drop box for the key. Needs to be labeled better!

Tried to drop off a 5 x9 trailer - the lot was jammed packed and difficult to maneuver. There were 2 women and a man on duty . The man was installing a hitch and was the only one that knew how to complete a customer drop . I was told to do the drop off on my phone by myself- not happy with that !! . I attempted it but Uhaul’s app wasn’t pulling the location from phone so I was dead ended . Finally after 25 mins one of women got the mans log in info and proceeded to do the drop off procedure. I was then told to love the trailer to the lower lot and fit it in between two trucks - the lower lot was jammed packed as well . I would never use that location again

Train your employees in Customer Service! I believe the man's name was Dave/ David and he was not attentive, on his phone, didn't ask if I needed help or if he could help me, uniform and I'd was not displayed. He told me" You seen me when you pulled in and I was parking the truck beside you, you walked right past me and I ain't chasing nobody". I explained to him that I seen a moving truck beside me when I pulled in. As I did my circular check to make sure I got all my things out , did see someone on their phone by the time I was done he was gone. The person did not identify himself as an employee or ask if I needed assistance for my return. Renting the vehicle wasn't any hutches or glitches. The gentleman that assisted me was great at Customer Service!

Really take the time to improve your employees and locations, especially Morton street, boston MA. I read the reviews and still decided to go. Reviews are EVERYTHING and corporate should consider reading them and actual do better by paying customers. I will advise anyone that asks NEVER GO TO THE MORTON STREET LOCATION if you have to use U-Haul.

your customer rep didn't return my drivers license, it was the next day I realized it was missing. for two days my license was in your possession and no phone call, it was at your rental place of business. poor customer service, the manager of the day should have picked up on that.

The cab of the truck I rented was filled with trash.I was told the truck had 1/4 tank of gas but it had 1/8 of a tank.The back of the truck had to be cleaned out before I put my stuff in it , so it would not get dirty.

The owner of this franchise needs to staff more than one person on the last Saturday before the month ends. One person to handle everything at a peak time is not enough. There was a long line that could’ve easily been avoided had the owner appropriately staffed a second person, even for just a 4 hour shift.

We were paying via a gift certificate; however, they charged a credit card instead, and when the problem was detected, the local store told us to call Corporate, who told us to call the local store back. When we did, the call bounced back to Corporate and (very long story short), we were told someone would get back to us in 72 hours - for a mistake that they made. After several more calls, Corporate connected with the store manager who agreed to fix the issue the following day. Also, the truck we received was listed as a 2017; however, it was a 2009 and rode roughly.

Contract stated I had to return the vehicle 5/8 tank full of gas. Received the vehicle with only 1/4 tank full of gas. Tried to take vehicle back to location but the lot was completely full and no where to pull in. No street parking available and running low on time. Decided to just eat it. Was confused on not having a lock on the back of the truck. Upon returning the vehicle at the end of the day in a different location, I had closed and latched the back before leaving the apartment, even had a family member check it, but when I pulled into the drop off location, the back of the truck was wide open. Even though there was nothing inside, this is a huge safety issue. If my belongings had been inside and fallen out, it could have obviously caused a car accident. Not cool. Perhaps a lock would prevent this? When I received the vehicle I was not shown a single thing about the truck, the back of it or anything at all. I was not given a tour or an explanation of how to operate it even in the simplest, most basic way. I wasn't asked if I've ever rented a truck before or even driven one. The employee simply pointed to it in the lot and handed me the keys. Perhaps it is uhaul's expectation of their employees to not ensure customers have at least a basic understanding of vehicle operation. I wasn't even asked if I had any questions. I should have checked the gas gauge before leaving, but not being a routine car-rental person, this was not in my mind at the time. I don't plan on using uhaul again. I suggest further training of employees and instead of treating them like cogs in a wheel who are disposable, maybe if they felt a bit more valued and respected, they'd treat the job --and customer-- with that same level of respect. Just a suggestion, you capitalist pigs. I expect no follow through on the side of uhaul regarding this message. Surprise me?

My small business had been using this sure for over 1 year. The site itself is not the problem. It is just understaffed. Darron the manager, is the only reason we still use it. He is usually by himself and is there almost 7 days a week. He still remains professional. It looks bad on the UHAUL company see a obviously dedicated employee abused like this. Maybe you wouldn't get so many complaints if it was fully staffed. Thank you.

Fuel tank was less than 1/4 full although they try to charge me to bring it back taht way. Man at desk initialed that tank was less that 1/4 full

As usual, this location churns through vehicles as cash cows and doesn’t clean them, maintain them, etc between uses. At least this time there was finally more than 1 employee working so the wait wasn’t painful as it usually is.

It took me over an hour of waiting in line just to pick up a 6x12 trailer. The computer systems went down apparently and there was only one staff member working. He was great, but one person is not enough to be at the desk and working in the parking lot also. I also returned my trailer that day as I should have and then got a call 2 days later asking me if it was back. CLEARLY now one checked my paperwork back in that it was returned.

Impossible to get through to someone, have to leave several messages with no return call. Lighting doesn't turn on immediately in the hallways so have to walk for a few moments in darkness.
