The delivery of the Ubox arrived on time and there was good communication between the Uhaul Howell, NJ location and the customer. The pick up had issues due to the fork lift sinking into the gravel after a rain storm the night before. Make sure planks of wood are always on the truck for the fork lift driver to use if there is an issue. For Uhaul in general don't use guarantee delivery on your communications with the customer because it arrived 2 days late from the original due date when being transported to Florida. Also, their is no tracking for Ubox when in transit between the carrier and the next Uhaul location it is going to. Takes hours and days between Uhaul and the customer to find out when and were the Ubox is in transit.

Everyone was terrific esp from the Howell NJ site. A huge shout out for Lizz our delivery driver for all runs. She is totally awesome gies the extra mile. Is polite, friendly , knows her job well, always looks smart. Does a brilliant job even dropping off three boxes on a busy Main Street. Then when delivering at destination navigated a really tricky driveway so well. All the staff at Howell were really great, practiced and ,professional ten stars!

The cost was almost double what I was quoted. I guess it took longer than expected. I also didnt like that the guy doing the install went out to help another customer with his vehicle in the parking area. And then didnt deduct that time from my install. It had to be a good 15-20 minutes looking at his car and assisting him at the counter and register.

This was my first time ever using a “pod” like service for moving goods. The experience for the box arriving between the communication and knowledge of how the system works was beyond satisfactory.
AJ the driver was very prompt on arriving on time as he would state and communicate to me throughout the experience. He was highly personable and also very knowledgeable on any questions I had about the way this shipping process was going to work and made me feel the most comfortable I could be using this new service to me.
I would recommend using these services any time you need to move goods around.

The Engelwood Colorado office was not great to deal with . My boxes did not arrive on the guaranteed date (12/23). They originally scheduled my boxes to be delivered on 1/7/23 and I had to practically beg to get them earlier. And then when they were delivered they were late by 2 hours past the scheduled window and no one could explain why or give me info on when I’d get them. Lastly, the emails you send me regarding charges seem to be less than what my card is being charged and that’s both frustrating and confusing.

The delivery to my NJ address was perfect went off without a hitch, the driving to SC was fine I was very disappointed with the drop off at my new home. Gave me a window 12-4 came 5:40pm dropped it where it was wobbling and not secure as it was unloaded. Texted me the pick up for Saturday and tried to push it til Sunday, sparkleberry lane is not customer oriented I would go to another location instead of that one. U-Box arrived in Ft Worth area on time but was not delivered to home for 4 days without explanation. This resulted in need for rearranging schedules twice. When shipped the delivery date falling on a Sunday was noted but local office assured me delivery would take place on a Sunday. The fact that the following Monday was also a holiday was pointed out and again local office assured me that would not be a problem since U-Box would have been delivered already. Through the journey U-Haul continually sent out notices about status and location as well as taking charges right up until U-Box arrived in Ft Worth TX area. At that point only telephone messaging centers were accessible! Delay cost me additional money and not a word from U-Haul. Simply not reassuring for consideration of future use of U-Haul;

My U-box arrived 9 days late (scheduled to arrive on 8/31, but got there on 9/9). I was notified through text that my U-box was going to be late, but when I asked further questions like where my box was, what was the cause for delay, and did they have an expected day of delivery, none of these could be answered. It left me feeling uneasy, like something happened to the box. It wasn’t until I called customer service on the 6th late day that they were able to escalate it. I still was not provided with an answer as to where the box was or when it would arrive. Although I understand delays happen, I would suggest better communication between the shipping department and customer service so that some of those questions could be answered when delays occur. Or maybe have your shipment team provide a tracking number for the box. Despite it being late, all of my things arrived safe and intact.

Only 1 recommendation - it would be nice to be able to track where the pod is along the way. This pod was available 2 weeks early - and it would have been nice to see the tracking for it and be better prepared for the early delivery.

The staff at this location were very helpful, but the regional U-Haul office created a big problem. I reserved a 10x10 unit in Howell on the phone with the regional office, but after loading up a truck and driving it to this location, it turned out that the unit was actually not available. The Howell staff had to jump through hoops to make a unit available for me.

I love the elevator access and the big garage to offload and on load in a temperature controlled area! This storage facility goes above and beyond the call of duty for their customers. They are not only sympathetic their are empathetic for their customers in regards to showing genuine understanding and even care for their customers (regardless of customers’ circumstances or situations that they are going through). They are willing to help and accommodate anyone who walks through their door. I definitely recommend going to the uhaul storage located in Howell, NJ. Samantha and Dawn are both awesome :)

Extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with my uhaul experience yesterday. When we got to the uhaul in howell on rt 9 north, the movers went to place my belongings into the elevator and the elevator stopped working. The woman at the desk had no idea how to fix it and was very rude when we asked her what the alternative was since there was no other elevator. She said to “take the stairs” to the movers who had to move multiple heavy items to the THIRD FLOOR which was completely unacceptable. Because there was no one available to fix the elevator, I then had to scramble to find another storage facility and it cost me even more money because that extra wasted time had delayed the time for the movers. They made no accommodations for me whatsoever and were unprofessional in how they handled this matter.

Dawn was so helpful and friendly! The facility is so clean and temperature controlled! My husband was very weary about storing his valuables anywhere outside the house. Once Dawn explained all the security measures, he was so relieved!
My only complaint is that when I called to make the reservation I specifically asked about buying my own lock and the sales person said I could bring my own. When I arrived with a newly purchased lock with extra keys made, Dawn said we had to have a round lock.

Clean, new and modern. While the security of the facility is very strong, it is complicated and difficult to learn. Once you learn, however, it is manageable. The only hiccup that occurred was the until I rented was already in use so I had to get another unit which was on the the other side of the bldg... I had requested a closer unit from the get go... the girl Samantha who originally was very helpful said there were no other units available and that the empty unit which was by the first one that was assigned to me was not available.. I was extremely disappointed in the way I just got a sorry huh.... the young man tried his best to help but he was not in charge so couldn't do too much

The day I had my movers move my stuff the elevator wasn't working so this meant it cost me more money as the movers had to carry my stuff down one floor. No elevator is not something you want a person to experience on the last day!

I would provide a higher rating as staff was helpful and the facility appeared to be clean, but we had to wait for the only elevator, then we couldn’t call the elevator back once we were finished. After waiting quite awhile, we gave up, had to leave the carts, and take the stairs. We then got stuck in the stairwell (no handles to open the door from the stairwell) and finally used the emergency exit! We then had to walk back to the bays and go back inside to get the truck. Calls to the Howell location and the main number went unanswered. Very disappointed.

Dawn (manager),Elizabeth and the man who works with her on the weekend were a wonderful help. My husband and I could not say enough how cooperative everyone was to us. We are in our 70's, We had to put the contents of our prior home in storage for 21 days as our closing on the next home did not coordinate with first. Although it was an hour ride and reservation on line was incorrect, everyone made it bearable. Thanks!

Intercom does not work and my swipe did not work 50% of the time. I would have to call the staff who had many cameras to watch to open the door. Some of the staff had an I don’t care disposition. Would not recommend this place to anyone. For the amount of money I paid I should have never had to to call to enter the facility!!!1

My experience was a great one from the start. I came to Uhaul Storage right after a bad breakup. Not only was the staff beyond helpful to get me into the right unit (mind you at a great price), I was treated with compassion. I wasn’t just a number. The owner herself comforted me as I cried my eyes out realizing the difficult transition I was making in life. That sense of respect and care for customers continued through my stay at Uhaul. All staff are friendly and courteous. It comes naturally to them to show they care about your experience with their business.
The building itself I found beyond safe and secure, and I appreciated that knowing my “life” was in a unit.
I would recommend this location over and over, and will continue to do so!!!

The place is wonderful, and in a great location! So clean and with lots of accessible equipment to make moving in easy. Dawn was a pleasure to work with, answered all of my questions, and made the application process so easy. A few days later, when I moved in and needed to change my locker, she was very accommodating, and made a note on the locker I left for future tenants. She didn't have to go the extra step, and she did! Can't recommend this place enough!!!

Greeted us with a smile, clearly explained everything to us and patiently showed us how to use the lock and the access card...(we are old and unfamiar with that).
