Don CuppThey made several mistakes regarding payment and I've been waiting for almost a week for the second time for a manager to call me pertaining to the issues I've had and pertaining to a refund I'm waiting to receive and I've been waiting for a week for the second time. I was guaranteed that I would hear from a manager within 72 hours pertaining to my complaint and what they were going to refund to Make it right ave again this never happened. So do use this uhaul location whatever you do. Their customer service is the most horrible customer service I've ever had the displeasure of experiencing in my whole life.

Because U-Haul had taken over during the term of my lease from self storage, there was a bit of confusion as to my payments. Ken worked with me to resolve it. I was very pleased with the service I received.

STEVE WILLISON | First ImpressionsI originally reserved a 4 x 7 trailer with a ramp. I was switched to a 5 x 9 and told it would be the same (with a ramp) just bigger. I received a 5x9 with a tail gate. When loading I damagaed my load because I didn’t have a ramp.

The only issue I have is with the refueling aspect of transaction- with tank not full, I did not like having to guess how much fuel I used to get tank back to 3/8 or whatever it was. Not a fan of that!!

STEVE DERKS | Overall ExperienceWhen U Haul took owner ship of the storage units the first thing they did was raise the prices of an already expensive unit. Then the U haul trucks and trailers we’re starting to Get parked everywhere making it look bad. When previously there was nothing parked outside and it looked clean, but now every where you would go there would be a run down trailer/truck. The facility had some really nice electronic billboards that worked great before U Haul took over, once they took over they became burned out and half working making it an eye sore. The icing on the cake was all of a sudden we get a letter saying you need to be out of your unit in a month and half because U Haul corporate is making then into littler units, and you will no longer have a place to store your items. Offering no real solution other then saying to call a different place. Over all I am extremely disappointed with the service of U Haul.

JIM SCHWECHLER | Overall ExperienceFor the last 5 years we rented a 11 x 40 unit to store a 18' foot boat and small 14' camper. The facilty is close to home, clean and very convenient. Unfortunately, a decision was made at the corporate level to downsize the larger units, such as ours, necessitating, on very short notice, the search for and move to a different facility. We were lucky to find one. The facilty Manager, Ken Heitman, knowing the difficulty of the situation for the many tenants affected, was very apologetic and helpful throughout the process. Despite U-Hauls short sightedness, short notice, timing( it is winter here) and apparent disregard for their customers, If the need locally for a U-Haul product arises, we will give Ken a call. He's been most gracious and should not be blamed this corporate level fiasco.

No other same size options where given to allow to stay with Uhaul so they said we needed to find our own options. They gave us a few other local storage names to call but we were on our own to figure out storage. Left out in the cold!

Marie Schavet | Overall ExperienceI had a decent experience with U-Haul. I never moved before and this was a completely new experience, however, U-Haul was able to make it somewhat easy and smooth. I also underestimated the time I would need to complete my move and I was able to add another hour TWICE! Adding an additional couple of hours after setting everything up was very nice. Even then I was 15 minutes late getting the trailer back but still no charge. Unfortunately, when I checked in, I failed to pick up the furniture ties that I had bought and the employee also failed to notice it. So I got all the way back to my first location and realized I didn't have the ties. The employee said he noticed this a bit later but never reached out to us. So we had to call and come back to take what we should have grabbed in the first place. This took time away from moving. However, it all worked out in the end and U-Haul was helpful in the move. We also didn't realize that the trailer had a speed limit of 55 mph. I guess to improve my and other's future experience with U-Haul, maybe they could make sure the client has everything they ordered before leaving (even when the client forgot it too). I also think it would help if U-Haul could have the 55 mph speed limit clearly on the information so that the client can budget in extra time for slower speeds and/or country road detours. I do appreciate that U-Haul hooked up the trailer and checked to make sure it was good to go.
Nathan CattelinoMy only concern is being charged for the full month when I didn’t need the services. It renewed on the 10th and everything was out by the 14th, a prorated option would be nice in situations like what I had.

It's hard to believe that upper management hadn't been aware of this prior to giving us one month's notice. If this was in the plans when they took ownership of the facility less than 6 months ago, it would have been considerate of them to let us know at the time. (Ken has been very helpful during this transition and my comments are not directed at him.)

Jenifer HermesI had a camper I stored at the location. Since U-Haul took over the facility, I had to move spaces, due to changes at the facility and then I was told to vacate the premises. I was provided with a refund for the last month I was there and was given sufficient time to vacate. I am mostly disappointed that I had to find a new, less convenient location to store my camper, thus the reason for the "Below Average" experience. I appreciated Ken, who reached out to me to finalize my departure and apologized for changes that caused me to lose my storage space.

They made the experience very simple, helped set up the App for me, and gave me the "Boardwalk/Park Place" location for a storage spot. I will definitely return at the end of the school year in 2024 to rent another storage space for the summer.

Celina Galvanthe onlyl part of this move that has been okay is the rental storage unit. As for the rest of the entire process including pickup of vehicle to filing a claim to getting information from uhaul has been absolutely horrible. i've spoken with multiple reps from uhaul and NO ONE is able to get me the information needed. As well, the vehicle was NOT reaady @ 2pm becuase the battery was dead. I had to wait until 5pm to pick up the truck at which time Clay, in Helena, said he'd add an extra day to the contract, which he did not do. Repwest and uhaul have not communicated in any form that 1) a claim was filed 2) what the next steps are and 3) ANYTHING of help.

Reservations don't matter. Since we were just storing furniture for college use, it was frustrating to then have to store it many miles away. The staff was cooperative and I was directed to the Kimberly facility, which was very, very nice.

I reserved a unit in DePere several weeks ago but was told there were no units available when I arrived. That is why I had to go to Kimberly who luckily had some available. What should have been an hour process in total turned out to be three hours. We were just moving a few items from St. Norbert and reserving a unit a few minutes away was what I had planned and that's why I made the reservation. A reservation assumes a unit is waiting.
