I asked the manager at the store why the price was different from on line. His exact words were, I am not going to even try to explain. Heck I don't even know or understand myself. Call customer service. My suggestion for improvement is customer service training, store/rental policy refresher as well as leadership skills development.

When I arrived the guy at the cash register was nice but never moved out of his seat after we was done to come check the truck and see if it was ready. The truck was dirty inside and out. It had equipment in it that I never asked for but was charged for. Luckily I’m in a good mood or I would’ve rated it a 1.

Using the app to pick-up was not as easy as I was hoping. Also, the pick up location was further then what I had asked for which caused me to go over the mileage range and have to pay more in the end. I was not informed of the pick-up location until a few days before and we tried to call and change it but no luck.

I was quoted a free month and I even have that free month emails but once I got there it was completely different. That’s not right to quote a price then change it or say it’s according to facility. That needs to be in bold print when booking the storage. It's in poor taste and false advertisement.

I know that it's difficult to find people to work these days but there was only one worker who was very unprofessional. She was on her phone while getting our rental prepared, clearly didn't want to be there, it seemed like she knew what she was talking about but was very short with her words. This location is not in the best part of town which made refueling the truck a very frantic experience. In the 5 minutes at the gas station, we saw numerous police chases and were begged for money from a homeless woman. Returning the truck after hours was also very confusing. I wish the worker had gone over it with us ahead of time. I understand these are somewhat unavoidable complaints but my suggestion is hiring more welcoming people and moving this location to a different part of town.

Make sure your reservations are available. I went to pick up my truck on Valley Rd in Birmingham and was told my truck wasn't available after booking it a week in advance. Had to drive 10 miles to another location and it put me one hour behind schedule with my movers.

Parking space was limited due to working on new adding new concrete to the area but not convenient alternative parking. Also better customer services with some of the reps others were amazing including Marquitta she help me move the truck, explain the process of storage and returning the truck, transfer the card information and very friendly to me and my friend.

Ms Cunningham was good, having a extra lock on the storage when I arrived on 3 different occasions for no fault of mine is mind blowing and a huge inconvenience, due to that I decided to cancel the storage after 27 days of rental, the staff need to make sure they know the status of each building as far as not being doubled booked,payment status, etc to ensure what happened to me don’t happen to anyone else. I will not recommend this Uhaul location 3038 Bessemer Rd, Birmingham Al 35208

1. Allow your customers who have been there longer than 6 months to use your private dumpster. It's selfish not to allow it. 2. Help customers toss mattresses, especially if they have been there longer than 6 months. Set up a system to help hall away items for customers who have paid for long stays. 3. If a customer has patronized your business for a considerable amount of time be willing to bend a few rules. Make it fair and willing to help assist the customer. Be willing to bend stiff rules. Then your customers will always return to a family like business.

I rented the unit on behalf of my Nephew who lost his mother to a heart attack in July and his Stepfather in August. He lives in Florida and needed someplace to store househhold items. I am extremely disappointed that I could not get a refund of the unused portion of my rental payment. The ending date for my initial rental was 24 September. Prior to that date, I made a payment. My nephew and I cleared the unit out on 27 September, just 3 days later. I believe that I should only be charged for the 2 or 3 days from the 24th. and rest should be refunded to me. The storage facility itself was excellent. I used the unit for several years and found no problems with my stored items. The problems that I had was with the parking. On Saturday, September 12, 2020, I parked my vehicle in a parking space painted for parking. When I parked, I felt a pull on my right bumper. When I looked, a nail protruding from the cement barrier had ripped off the right side of my bumper. I informed the manager, Shinita Cunningham. She said that the parking spots were for hitches, but there were no signs saying the parking spots were for the hitches. I now have a damaged bumper and I am not pleased about it because it could have been avoided. There are no customer parking spaces for storage customers. That problem needs to be addressed. On Sunday, September 13, 2020, the normal staff was off. The gentleman filling in could not open the storage area because he did not have the keys or codes. Me and my family waited for 1 1/2 hrs but were still unable to get into the storage area. I thought it was ridiculous that he did not have the correct information necessary to continue normal operations. It was very frustrating and I had to reschedule meeting dates with my family to complete emptying the storage unit. Communication is of the utmost importance to keep a business functional and your customers stress and worry free.

This was absolutely the worst experience I have ever had moving with Uhaul. I just have spoke with 12 individuals from 800 Uhaul online, Ethics department, store managers, clerks, and maybe 2 individuals were pleasant and willing to assist my family and I. Hey ur storage reservation was secured wrong by representative, the services that were supposed to be available were not available putting the safety of my family at risk. The size of the storage that I reserved and was forced to down grade to a unit that almost didn’t fit the capacity of my goods. We were threatened by the staff. Worst experience ever.

I encountered some unprofessional conduct during my experience. Twice they posted a late fee when they failed to deduct the payment; I had to call headquarters twice. I feel being I closed out account a few days after making a payment, I should've been refunded

I made a payment in January and your records stating that I didn’t I went to my storage and was unable to get in it had a lock on it and I’m not pleased paying my money for something and the person steals my hard earned money but I’m moving my things out
