Brian StreeterEnsure the rental equipment is 100% inspected and ready for the next customer. The one ratchet strap was so rusted up, it would not function. The person on duty was very polite and provided some lubricant so that we could get it operational. My only other option was to pick up another trailer from another Erie location. This should have been taken care of during a pre-inspection prior to the customer seeing it and then being delayed. Again, most likely a training issue due to turnover, but something to consider.

She was super efficient and she also seemed very conscientious as she disconnected the auxiliary power source that had been charging the battery before I left. In all my years renting UHaul trucks, I had never seen that. In fact, several experiences at another Erie location were less than stellar. As I prepared to leave I happened to observe her checking in other trucks/equipment. She hustles! Excellent experience.

Christian MoksWell,I thought it was unfair to be charged for 4 gallons of gas when I only used the truck for 13 miles. I did not use 4 gallons of gas for them 13 miles of driving the truck. That would mean it got only 3 miles to the gallon. And the needle on the gas gage barely budged from where it was. The extra 4 gallons at $22 added to the bill was overkill and overcharge for sure! Other than that,it was satisfying. I had not added the fuel myself as I had forgot my charge card on the way for the return. I thought to myself that I was only a gallon or two at best,which would have been $5 to $10 added to for fuel. Because there was absolutely no way I used 4 gallons of gas for 13 miles!

Sherri HeasleyThe vehicles gas gage seemed to very greatly by 1/4 to 1/8 a tank. One mile I’d have 3/4 a tank and the next 1/2 a tank. The vehicle wasn’t parked where the app said it was for pickup, but otherwise everything was great. The web pickup and drop off options were very thorough and I’m glad that U-Haul made the investment in modern technology to make everyone’s experience better.

DIANE YEAGERYour software makes moving unbearable. Almost every time that I get in line at your stores, I am waiting for your computers to process. It has been this way for at least six (6) years. I would not recommend yhat a friend go through the wait for your computers especially when they are tired, thirsty and hungry from moving! Why is your slogan "WE MAKE MOVING EASY"? ????????????? I would tell a friend to pack a lunch and bting a camp chair if you get in line at a U-Haul store ANY location because their software needs updated.

I had completed a move-out request nearly a month ago, yet was charged for monthly rent. I called my local U-Haul and was quickly helped out by a kind gentleman, and I was good to go. However, I would like to call attention to this because it may affect someone in a more negative way than what happened to me. Thank you very much to the crew at my local U-Haul - you guys are wonderful to do business with.

Walk through the front door of the climate controlled building and you'll be greeted by mice and sometimes the odor of the bathroom. At least our stuff was secured though.

David AlfieriRented a transport trailer today the lady behind the front desk that rented it to me like always was absolutely wonderful as always she is amazing to work with. However when I returned the equipment the guy behind the counter was not very polite was in a hurry to close all tho hile didn't lock the door to the building his comment was rude and harsh.... He looked at me with a rude tone and said " I am closed. Use self check out" . I couldn't even ask where he wanted it parked. I don't appreciate his tone he could have at least answered me on where to park it..... So I would rent from there due to the lady I delt with the first time but if it's the gentlemen with the beard that is heavy set then no not unless you want rude heartless service for a man that just got off vacation he sure seemed to be in a hurry to leave and his job must be a major inconvenience to him

Kelly Bostwick | Overall ExperienceI had a credit card that was compromised and in process of being replaced by the Credit Card Company. When the auto payment for U-Haul was rejected instead of calling me they sent me a late fee and a letter. I had to go to the office and give them an alternate credit card. The easiest thing would have been to call me and I would have provided an alternate card since I DID NOT KNOW the card was rejected. U-Haul wanted an Emergency Contact. When the Credit Card was rejected U-Haul sent my EMERGENCY CONTACT asking them to tell me to pay my bills!! U-Haul treated me as if I was trying to evade paying my bills. The spaces for outside storage are not clearly marked and several people parked contrary to the rules causing problems.. The one time I talked to the Manager she told me she agreed with me but her boss was the hold up. There were two rate increases in less than 6 months. Not sure why, costs must have remained the same for outside storage and there was no tax increase. My opinion, U-Haul was just piling on since prices are rising due to inflation.

I received no discount for the inconvenience. I switched storage companies and am renting a 20x20 with a full garage door opening for 90 dollars a month.
Teresa Butler | Overall ExperienceExtremely difficult to get in touch with staff and when we did, they were some of the rudest customer service reps I've ever had the displeasure of coming across. Even when showing concern over a security issue of the front gate to the units being left open for days, I was cut off and told that this isn't a problem of the uhaul employees and that they need an outside source to come and fix the problem from a recent wind storm. This may be accurate but at the facility receiving the costumers money for a service, the approach should have been different and an apology for the inconvenience should have still be given. When initially signing up, I signed a paper for automatic withdrawal from my bank account that the rep failed to ever submit and therefore, got a late fee my first month ontop of a letter about my being late and my mother got the same letter. I get that that's the process but due to a mistake on the facilities part, unnecessary embarrassment ensued with my mother thinking I was delinquent on a bill. Then it was a pain to rectify the situation work dealing with corporate customer service and finally being transferred to the entirely rude harborcreek location staff. Will not be utilizing uhaul again.

There was some issue with it which the person at the counter stated loudly that the card was rejected for lack of funds. He used the OLD card that was in the system. I told him again that was the wrong card. We then used the correct card and it went through. No apology for announcing it for the entire room to hear. I went to my unit and there was a green ziplock on the unit. I called to have them remove it. At first they said they would but 20 minutes later no one came. I called back only to be transferred to the manager who stated he was going home and i could remove it myself. I stated again that I did not put it on and they needed to remove it and that I didnt want to damage it. I was told that if I didnt like it I could be removed from the unit and I could go elsewhere. Really? Is this the way UHaul treats a customer of over 4 years??

The computer glitches caused delays in securing a unit, a long wait for receipts to be printed, and getting access to the building to use our unit. Waiting for an hour to get into the building while they tried to figure out what the problem was certainly the last of the many problems we encountered. Someone should figure out what's wrong with the computer.

Especially 3 days in advance prior to your bill. That's the least someone could do. Considering other company's have the database and resources ya'll should as well. Other than the late fee my time at Uhaul was fantastic!

A second call, and my reservation was found however the employee failed to mention that the loading doc was under construction and completely missing. A side utility door up a set of stairs was the alternative to get to my unit. I was also not told in advance about the lock provided, so I had bought an industrial lock and threw the package away making it non returnable for me. I was unable to get my largest furniture in my unit because of the side door loading entrance. No warning, no discounts. This would have completely changed my choices had I known in advance, made my move difficult and impeded what I need to store in my unit.

Using these did not work and error message stated I was not logged in. The attendant on duty said they've been having trouble with the online information transferring over and manually opened the sliding door for me. The next time I visited the same happened, so I again went inside to find out what was up. This time the manager was on duty and stated you must first log in to the center keypad (which looks identical to the other keypads and has no signage stating you must log in to that one first). So much for contactless setup! Better posted instructions and education for employees would be good. Otherwise no other complaints.

I told the worker about it and her response was “if there was a blue tag and a lock inside I had to be clean”. Ummm. Well, it wasn’t. Just thought it was ironic that a company that charges me if I leave anything dirty, and here I am cleaning up after them. Kinda funny. Like I said, no big deal. Just the part of not believing me left me a little bewildered.
