While driving i experienced a blowout. Not sure what they could have done to prevent it as the tire looked fine when i picked up the trailer. The roadside assistance was really helpful in getting me back on the road.

Every single time renting from this location their computer system is down. The workers have to check you out manually every time as if you are a brand new customer. It takes forever check out, even if you have already gone through the full online checkout process. The manager is the only employee who will be able to help you. Corporate clearly doesn't care about this location and won't invest in their basic and most important computer systems that literally every transaction must go through. Everything the renter needs for renting uhaul has to go through their app - the Uhaul app is riddled with issues are rarely works when needed. It crashes constantly and every time I've used it for the return process it fails at one step or another. Usually it is the location step where it fails. There is no other way to override the step and you end up having to just leave your rental with no proof that you retired it on time, you'll just have to hope that the employe you talk to remembers your conversation when they check you out manually later on. Again, this turns what should be a 5min drop and go into 20min+ frustration. I rent here all the time, there is no reason it should take more than 10min to check out, I should be in the system and after a quick ID & credit card check I should be on my way. Whoever is the regional manager for RI needs to pay attention and upgrade this miserable location so that the few competent employees can do their job effectively.

No one showed up to original location so had to go to a different one (got a credit for that which was appreciated). But then truck that I was given had sheets of ice from snow that happened last week that I didn’t realize. These were coming off on highway so got pulled over by the police.

The online/app check-in process is bad. I was charged extra for fuel even though I returned the vehicle with the exact amount of fuel that was in the tank when I picked up the vehicle. I would neither recommend nor use the app again.

The safety pin was missing and the customer said it is not needed. I used different trailers through my 20 year military career and safety is my number one priority. The Pintle is missing a safety pin and the customer representative is not concern is unsatisfied. So I had to improvise a safety pin. She neglected me. If they tow dolly came loose; she probably blame on me.

The computer system at the East Providence RI location does not work. The employees manually enter info and duplicate everything that I do in advance on the app. It slows the process down to an unacceptable speed and makes the checkout process that should be fast painfully slow. Fix the system.

The truck smelled like urine. There were remnant of what looked like vomit near the ignition as well as on the drivers seat. It was repulsive. I alerted the employee when returning the truck and she agreed that it smelled like something died in there. An opportunity it’s to provide excellent customer service was missed. A manager should’ve come out to talk to me and offer an apology and refund.

The initial pick up went smooth but the return of the vehicle was awful. I arrived early to return the rental and had to wait 15 minutes for an employee to greet me. To top it off, I was not the only customer waiting for this employee to appear from where ever he was. This type of business is ridiculous and you all should be ashamed of this location. In addition to the facility being dirty and unwelcoming to potential customers. I will never to business with this location ever again, a complete waste of my time.

When i got to the vehicle and loaded it up i found the ratcheting straps to be completely frozen almost impossible to use and secure vehicle on to trailer was very disappointed in the lack of maintenance performed on the trailer very unsafe but made it work

Agent was okay. 10ft Box Truck had repaired damage. Driver's side door did not close properly, had to slam it. Everything else with vehicle was suitable. Location was good. Satisfied with the after hours online return process although it was a bit lenghty with the photos, was unsure what was asked for "Drivers Side Tools (or whatever the terminology that was used). Will consider this location again if needed.

Prorated is important because of people like me having financial hardships needs every cents if not used. I’m disappointed that I couldn’t use prorated money after using only few days out of 30 days. Access to storage sucks. Closing at 7 pm after all we get off at 5 pm from work. This is a no brainer!!!! Make it 9 or 10 pm make more sense than 7 pm.

I have had my storage units for quite some time at this uhaul facility. I have known some of the staff for a long time. They are knowledgeable and kind. This uhaul bathroom is very clean.

It would have been more convenient to be able to pick the location of the storage unit on a map of the building. There is a musty smell inside. Please check for mold. One of the fans seems to be loose and makes a lot of noise. Last time I was there I didn't hear it, so maybe it was already fixed. A bathroom would be an amazing addition.

The facility had promised to store my keys in it safe, as a document it in an email. The reason for this was that I was not present when my things were stored. Rather, movers moved my things into storage because I was out of town. The facility lost my keys, and I had to pay $100 for a locksmith to come while my movers waited to open the lock.

I had spoken to someone twice that I could not afford to pay for the unit any longer and my information was ignored and now over one year after clearing out my unit and not paying. I am still receiving a bill for thousands of dollars and continuously harassed by one of the managers after I explained my situation. If I have a financial hardship and can't pay. How do you think that is suddenly going to change. And after I had already emptied out the unit and left my keys with your associates. They screwed up and I get blamed for it. It's bad enough that when you come into the office you can't get anyone to acknowledge your presence, nevermind help you. Your business is good but individual people are so incompetent and customers should not have to suffer for their lack of professionalism. Please do better.

So. First I go there and it takes over 15 minutes to get a checked in (there’s only one guy ahead of me). That’s not that big of deal, and then everything went down hill from there. I was expecting a bigger storage unit and I expressed that as I saw what I received. Didn’t really try ans help me find a bigger one. And THEN the doors wouldn’t open. The WHOLE time I was unloading my Uhaul full of stuff. The employee never came back to check on me and was like “idk I guess they’re broken”?? Like what?? How unsafe also it took so long to take all my stuff out since I had to wedge the emergency door open! Super unsafe and I highly do NOT recommend

I want to give a huge shout out to Moragn Amador at this location. She was spectacular when assisting us with the move in and day prior to moving out. Very attentive to my needs and did not suffocate me with loads of products/services that would’ve costs lots of money. I had a bit of a weird experience with the issue in using the dumpsters at the property. I used the night I moved out and was charged $40 for it. At no point did someone from the company state that the dumpsters were off limits to renters. Mind you, someone came up to us at the trash and even wished us a good night. If that was the case, why weren’t we addressed then? We would’ve immediately went elsewhere had we known prior to emptying out the unit and throwing them there, we would’ve went elsewhere.

There was an issue with the electronic entrance to my unit for the first 2 months of our experience, which meant I could not access the unit after 7pm, which did not adhere to the posted schedule I had signed up for. I brought it to the attention of management and they said they were working on fixing it & apologized for the inconvenience. But upon asking for some sort of bill reduction, I was told they’d have to ask the facility head. Ivory ever got back to me & I was given the runaround a few times. That’s not right. Not giving me access at times outside my personal work hours really resulted in a terrible experience. Additionally, I showed up 10 minutes before the office closed one night & asked the staff member in duty if he could help me get into my unit as my card wasn’t working. He said he couldn’t because he was closing up. Again, awful customer service & completely inappropriate foe the staff member to value their closing over a customers needs while they were still open. While the door issue was eventually fixed, it was too little too late. We’ve since moved to another facility in the area & are having a much better experience. Unfortunately, I don’t see myself ever using UHaul again.

The staff at the East Providence, RI location are excellent, providing excellent customer service. Dawn went above and beyond to help me when I arrived it was noted that the call and reservation center did not send my storage rental information to them so they could get my ubox out of storage so I could have it transferred to a storage unit. They also gave me wrong information about what a split level unit is; luckily once again Dawn at the site location saved me from climbing stairs to get to a unit. Very unprofessional of UHAUL Call Center! If not for Dawn who went out of her way to get my ubox out from being buried among other uboxes, I would have been out $200 for the movers I had arranged. Thank you Dawn!!! As for the UHAUL Call & Reservation Center HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! The storage facility at East Providence is clean but two things I didn't like: 1. street level storage units have very low ceilings, smell damp and there is no lights so the units are dark. 2. there is no elevator for above street level storage or split levels which is ridiculous!! don't know about lighting because I didn't look at those units.
