I felt the guy was rude and told me I returned 1/2 hr earlier than set time. Wanted to charge me the extra $$.

Recommend not pre-reserving as not every renter is going to be able to return as planned. Customers should be able to extend rental as needed. Clearly moving and loading and unloading is not an exact science. Most customers will undoubtedly underestimate the rental time needed and should easily be able to extend the time as needed.

THORWALD SDrop off was a nightmare. The driveway to return the truck was blocked. The parking lot was chaotic with drivers racing around and cutting people off. I was unable to park the uhaul in the designated area because of the poor design. Why would anyone put a uhaul location here???

I had reserved a truck online somewhere else and went to pick it up, and the location didn’t have one and was quite rude. I called U-Haul and they sent me to this location and the building was easy to find, clean, and Rob (I believe that was his name) and very nice and quick. I want to say we were in and out within 10 min. The truck worked great and when we returned it after hours, the directions/instructions at the lot were clear and made it simple.

Mark M1) The truck had a transmission issue shifting from first geat 2) The tank should be full when a truck is picked up. 3) The door had problems closing. 4) The left mirror cannot be adjusted and there was dirty breeze all over it. 5) Brakes were week to the point to be dangerous. 6) Had to spend effort to extract the ignition key. 7) Spent minutes trying to turn the ignition key. In the past, I have rented from Penske several times with no problems. After today, I will going back to Penske.

Lauren PI dropped the trailer at 4:15. Every sign said they were open until 5 but there wasnt a soul around. Waited a minute then dropped it. Took photos and a video with the time in caae i got hit with some after hours chafge. Also did online drop off. Lot was huge, which is always good.

Andrew LThe location was fine - the self-serve automated process for truck pick up & return is ridiculous. Asking for two individual verifications or other documents at time of pick-up was not disclosed in advance. I was fortunate to have two individuals that were accessible. The extra equipment was not in the truck - and there was no way to remedy the problem. I have used U-Haul many times - my profile will show this. I should charge U-Haul for my time - a 30 minute truck pickup process is unacceptable. I will look for a different vendor in the future.

Michelle FI have had a few bad experiences with U-Haul but this location not only was it very clean the truck was clean it didn't have bad order or garbage in it and the air conditioner worked I also was not over charged for anything. Now rob the gentleman that helped me upon returning the truck he did give me a brief heart attack lol he definitely is a jokester . He is an amazing guy very helpful very funny and knows exactly how to treat his customers he definitely takes pride in his work it shows . Thanks Rob Miller for being the best U-Haul employee I have ever encountered. You go above and beyond for your customers.

Ed FMy uhaul broke down on the outbound ramp onto state highway 4 in Lexington ky about 45 mins before it was to be dropped off. We were stranded because n the side of a busy highway outbound entrance to the highway and almost no room to pull safely off the road. Contacted uhaul and we were sitting on the edge of the road for about an hour waiting for communication from uhaul. Finally we had to pay an uber to pick us up on the side of the highway. I suffer from panic disorder and PTSD and this had caused me to have a bad anxiety attack and PTSD episode. After we safely managed to get ourself back to our hotel we found out that the uhaul was successfuly picked up by the uhaul roadside assistance people and got the truck back to the uhaul drop off location. First problem when I was talking to Julie the road side assistance support line about the situation she was definitely more concerned about the truck being left on the side of the highway unattended more then she was worried about our safety. Not once did she ask if I was ok or my fiance. She had the audacity to say since we left the truck there that if the city yowes it we will have to pay for it. WOW I'm outraged. Because as we sat on the edge of a busy dangerous highway a state trooper had seen us thank god an advised us that it was extremely dangerous for us to be standing in that location that we needed to imidiately find a ride to get us off the side of the road and into a safer area away from fast movi vehicles. So we did. And the people at uhaul was more worried about the unattended brok down uhaul truck?? That disgusts me. Anyway a few days later we spoke with the manager at the Manchester st uhaul location in Lexington and he started off very nice, he said they were not going to charge us for the rental and they were not going to charge us for the fuel but they were going to charge us only for the miles. He informed us that we drove $100 miles and after it was all said and done they kept our $100 deposit and then stated we still owe $20 more dollars??? Wow for one we didn't get a chance to refuel the truck because it had broke down and for 2 that is extremely insensitive to the harsh situation we were forced into due to the failure of there truck. I would assume that we would at least be asked if we were ok and was anyone injured. I assumed someone down the line would check or ask about our safety but no it was all about there truck and money. I'm assumed that after all this I requested a full refund but was hung up on and was rudley told that will never happen and hung up. This has been the most horrific experience I and my family have ever experienced renting a vehicle from uhaul. Me and my family and friends always chose uhaul and now after this experience I must say I and my family and friends will highly recommend any rental equipment and vehicles be rented from anywhere except for uhaul. What I have learned from this experience is that the manager had us fooled and became a snake after saying he wasn't going to charge us for the rental only the miles to turned out we owe them money. Uhaul only was worried about there truck and equipment and have no regard for the safety of the customers who use there equipment.

david bThis review is for the New Circle Road location. Uhaul will not let me submit a review without a confirmation number and since the reservation was switched to the Manchester location it is asking me to only review them, which I find deceptive. When my husband arrived to pick up the trailer at the New Circle location it had a flat tire and could not be rented. We had secured a truck from a friend for the day and now we weren't sure if we had the trailer we needed to complete the work that needed to be done. I gave them 3 stars because they found a trailer at another location (the Manchester one I'm being asked to review). However, my husband had to wait around for almost an hour for it to be located and then had to drive across town to pick it up at the other location. The equipment should have been checked long before we arrived to pick it up and they were just lucky they found one for us to rent or we would have wasted all our time and energy borrowing a truck and inconveniencing our friends. Overall it worked out, but barely.
