I had reserved a trailer. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that I needed a trailer electrical adapter to fit my 2021 F150. Friendly rep said they had them for sale, but he couldn't get it work and implied the issue was with my almost new truck - highly doubtful. No more double axle trailers, so had to take a box truck instead for 2x the $ and much less convenient that pulling the trailer I had reserved and planned upon. Will also say the box truck was pretty wore out and had 110K miles.... You guys do a lot of communication leading up to rental. Maybe i missed it, but the the non-standard lighting connection should be mentioned. I say non-standard as the F150 is the #1 selling vehicle of all time and has two standard trailer connections, none of which work natively work with your trailer. I would have researched this more and showed up with my own connector but in the end maybe the issue was the U Haul trailer. Everyone there was friendly and very competent. I'm just frustrated the at the end outcome....

The directions for accessing the unit for the first time seem to be made for a different kind of facility. It mentioned a keypad next to the unit... that doesn't exist. It directed me to rearm my unit, also not possible without the keypad next to it. And also even on the keypad outside the door to the building the keypad directions threaten to disallow aces to the building next time unless we check out/rearm the building, which is not possible. Just very confusing.

The reason for a "no" about well-maintained equipment is neither the radio or dash lights worked on the truck I received. It was clean. The staff was very pleasant at the location and at the national phone line when I had to change my reservation last minute due to a snowstorm.

The employees were not knowledged and did not notify me of procedures that u was supposed to complete which caused us a huge issue with returning the vehicle. We sat trying to return the uhual for over an hour because everyone we spoke to had a different story to give on how we should proceed and don’t feel I will rent uhual again.

Had to pick up a motorcycle 200 miles away…… got an trailer made for just that from Terra and picked it up and was gone in less than 10 minutes, even bought nice straps that were reasonably priced. Picked the bike up and brought it home. Returned it later that day and Tehle had the trailer off and disconnected in 5 minutes I was down the road…. It was like a pit stop. Makes zero sense to buy or borrow a trailer when they make it this easy. Trailer was just what I needed and it was well worth the small fee to use it. Thank you Terra and Tehle. See you next time I need a trailer.

She was amiable and professional definitely as being the face of the company projected a very positive image.

Everything was good, but it would be better if all trucks had gas on full, then it's ready to use and easy to know how much gas you need to add: fill it up. That would make things way better.

The gentleman who handled my hitch was courteous and professional. We went to a local restaurant and had lunch while we waited for the job to be done. When we came back it was only a few minutes later that he had the work done. He then took us out to show us what was done and how to use it. He went over the guarantees and the cost with us. He and his assistant was very pleasant. I would recommend this team to my friends. Thank you.

The outside of the van was very dirty like the previous renter had been riding in mud. Also, the can reeked of cigarette smoke. However, the inside of the cargo space was totally clean and the staff was very professional, friendly and accommodating. This is the only U-Haul store I use because of the great costumer service.

The van I rented smelled so bad of cigarette smoke it was unbearable. I was on a very tight time constraint so I didn’t have the time to swap it for another. I just drove with the windows down but it was evident the last person who rented it smoked a lot in the van and it doesn’t appear there was any attempt to get the smell out before I rented it.

For the past few months the associate Terra has been a wonderful employee, always smiling when my sister and I come in on Fridays to pick up our rental. She goes above and beyond with customer service. She has called us to let us know when the rental would not be available, I usually order the pickup truck a few days to a week before, and has set up another rental at another office for us. This has never been done in the past. I believe she is a keeper.

Truck clean and operated well but need to overhaul entire online checking in system. Kept booting me out. When I went into store staff indicated need to sign out of app because unable to help other customers check in. System also appeared to have allowed overbooking of trucks. Felt sorry for staff who did a good job trying to figure the mess out.

The truck had some issues. The airbag light kept on coming on the low air in a tire was on when the truck was in low gear did not run very well. The people at the place were great and understanding, but knew about the problem, and still gave me the vehicle, they said that the low air was a malfunction in the sensor but you could see that one of the tires were low not flat just less air and it was kind of my fault. I took the truck anyways because I had people waiting to help me load had no issues on the trip , but when I brought the truck back, they said that the engine sounded funny when it was in park. I said it was like that when I took it, I did by the insurance and roadside in no way, shape or form was any thing going on with the truck? My fault it was like that when I picked it up, so I am not happy with the truck. The people were great.

I reserved an outside, ground level room through the website. When I arrived I was told this facility doesn’t use the online reservation system and they don’t rent out exterior storage spaces. I was told I should have called first, but I can only find the national UHaul phone number, not a number for this store. I was asked to accept a room up a set of movable stairs which are shared by other customers. I didn’t realize until I saw it that it was a crawl space not tall enough to stand in. The wheels on the stairs are stiff and difficult to maneuver. I am concerned about another customer moving the stairs while I am in my room, stranding me up there. I would feel safer if there was a system to attach the stairs to the room. There are chains already on the stairs. Perhaps there is a system I don’t understand?

Was happy with the storage unit and friendly and helpful staff. The only concern is that there was a small hole in the corner of the unit, which I reported when I closed the unit. Was just worried that a mouse would get in, but I did not see any evidence of one. Was well lit up, secure clean and a good temperature. Thank you for the facility putting durable locks on the units. Overall experience very good and happy. Thank you!

The first time I came to purchase a storage I was told by the black guy that U-Haul in Cohoes, Albany and Latham had NO UNITS available even tho I seen online they had units! Come to find out he just didn't want to do his job. I spent the rest of that looking for a storage when I could of just booked that day! Total waste of time. I went online and reserved a unit in minutes which proved he was a liar the customer service agent I spoke to on the phone was very helpful and he helped me secured my unit. I returned to the U-Haul place and purchase my unit after I told him I was able to booked online and he lied. Also he has a habit of when the customer comes in of just walking out he doesn't say "I'll be with you shortly, I'll be right back or nothing" just terrible customer service!! I really needed the storage unit but next time I will go else where this place needs to find workers who actually wanna work and help the customer as a first timer I had no idea what I was doing and he didn't offer to guide me or help! Terrible

I called and reserved a unit. Was told that my unit was on the upper level. I asked if there were elevators and was told that yes there are elevators at this location. I went to the location to get my free lock and went to check out the location of my unit to find there are no elevators and only stairs. If I wouldn't have gone by to check then I would have went and loaded a truck full of furniture only to have to turnaround and go unload it. Wasted alot of my time. I had to cancel and find another unit elsewhere. I understand things happen but this wasted alot of my limited time.

It's a fine location & clean enough. I found the units to be have low ceilings, narrow entrances to the units. It's like putting stuff in an apt? They are truly small my storage was 8'8'6''. These units are fine for emergency storage of small things.

Robinson rented me a truck that has ice on the windshield, which I had to get someone to clean off, but worse, there was ice and snow on the cube box of the truck! Which came off and could have damaged someone’s vehicle, or injured someone! The truck was not set up for return correctly as I clearly stated one way, to get a free month of storage at the Cohoes location. The fact your mobile app does not allow to change drop off locations is not convenient or helpful at all! I had to call in several times to clarify about the drop off.

I KEPT IN CONTACT WITH CORPORATE SO I DIDN'T GET SLAMMED WITH OUTRAGEOUS LATE FEES AND I WAS TOLD SHE WOULD NOTE MY EMERGENCY OUTTA TOWN AND GUESS WHAT???? I GOT HIT WITH A MONTHLY PAYMENT OF $144 FOR A $64 STORAGE UNIT... I AM NOT VERY PLEASED AT ALL.. THIS IS NOT GOOD BUSINESS AT ALL. I HAD A DEATH AND BURIED MY MOM THEN JAD TO GO TO BUFFALO TO TAKE CARE OF HER HOUSE TO PUT IT ON THE MARKET. THANKS FOR NOTHING I WAS OVERSHELNEX AS IT WAS AND YOU MADE IT WORSE FOR ME IN NOVEMBER BECAUSE I DIDN'T HAVE THE $$ TO THROW AWAY .

Was not told storage room was raised, about 10 feet in the air before renting unit. Mobile stairs had to be placed, you'd unlock the door, then have to move the stairs out of the way to open the door, then move the stairs back. Unit had a huge beam and lots of wires running through it. Glad I was storing boxes and not bigger items. / Removed items from locker after hours. Called next day to close out. Direct Deposit was not stopped. Called to have stopped. Monies were withdrawn. Called to get refund. Six days later money had not been returned. Had to call again. I believe my issue has now been resolved. I hope. After 3 phone calls and being on hold 20 minutes each time I am not thrilled about this experience. I will still use this site again. I just wasn't thrilled with this time.

Hello, I hate to write negative reviews but feel like feedback would be helpful. I rented a UHaul truck from NYC to Uhaul Cohoes. The representative on the phone told me I could use their climate controlled storage with one month free. She said the unit was on the ground floor. The unit i received was not only on the second floor but it was only accessible by these mobil "staircases". The staircase was falling apart and had no railing at the top which was extremely dangerous. To add, the unit was probably 90 degrees inside. I was looking forward to a nice convenient end to the moving trip but this was pretty unfortunate. Thought it would help to share. Thank you

When I rented my unit I was told there were stairs. I was NOT told that the stairs were on wheels, weight at least 25-30 pounds & are the most wobbly, narrow, unsafe, unsecure stairs ever. No way these stairs should be in the building. Scary. Further, after you push the extremely heavy stairs into place and unlock your unit, you can't open the door to the unit. The bars at the top of the stairs are in the way, so you have to drag the stairs away again, open the door and then drag the stairs back into place. And my unit was on the end behind a corner. So no pushing the stairs right up to my unit. I had to navigate a tight corner. Every trip to my storage unit was a nightmare.

Key card didnt work - had to use code, unit was not size ordered, had to use wheeled stairs to access - scary!, had pipes through it, visible water damage after, all items covered in mouse poop.
