Kathleen TUhaul changed my pick-up location to an agent site initially. The outcome was a disaster, the truck was dirty, there was several areas of damage that had not been previously recorded. After taking 25 minutes recording the bumps and bruises when driving away the check engine light was on. Uhaul tried to cancel my reservation and reschedule another weekend due to no trucks available. I was then told they located a vehicle at the original location in Burlington after an uncomfortable conversation for them, the Burlington location and staff were great and the truck was spotless. I lost 3 hours + due to the change in locations and waiting for confirmation of a replacement rental. Not my first bad experience with Uhaul. If they try to change your reservation to an agent (was a glorified farm) refuse the pick-up and insist on the original. They need to assess their agent locations and standards

So I had to rent a much more expensive and bulky truck that I didn’t need. And had to pay more in gas as well as parking issues. Not impressed at all.

Emilia pAfter renting the trailer from this location 3 times in total this was the worst trailer . All trailer would jump and make the car feel unsafe. We mentioned this each time and the staff kept telling us this is normal. Even when loaded the trailer would bang and rattle against our hitch. The suspension in either damaged and not maintained.

There were a few times where I showed up to my unit and the power to the building was off. If possible, it would be nice to know that the power was off through some sort of notification system to save the trip to the unit, but this is very minor.

I asked about where to leave the trailer and was told by the service rep to put it in the same spot . I did what I was told returning the trailer where the others were parked. The next day there was a $20 Etra charge on my credit card and bill for not closing out the order. I have rented many trailers from U-haul from this and other locations. I returned many after hours and have never been up charged. The trailer was back in time for next day’s business. I called the location and was basically told to read my contract. I responded by saying that if some one had told me to close it out I would have. I lodged a complaint and wanted to speak with a manger but was told no one was there and someone would call me the next day. On Tuesday February 20, 2024 I went back to the location and was told there was no manager available that they were in meetings. As of today Wednesday February 21, 2024 no one from U-Haul has reached out to correct this issue. I am very displeased with what has transpired with this rental and the lack of following through by U-Haul.

Curt G | First ImpressionsMy moving date and storage facility was booked and scheduled with Camilo on June 22, 2023 (originally unit 1679) for a Sunday June 25, 2023 move. I also booked a 10' x 15' truck with Mickey on Tuesday June 20, 2023 for pick up/return for my moving day of Sunday and date of June 25, 2023. Both were confirmed with/for me by Camilo and Mickey of your company. On early Sunday morning I received an AI message from U Haul asking me what went wrong with my storage booking and why had I decided not to take it. This was incorrect and I certainly did nothing of the kind. I left a message for a call back, which I got from some U-Haul central office point at approx. 9:00 am. I was able to quickly resolve my truck rental and after some delay I was told that he had found my storage rental as well and confirmed that I was fine to move. Unfortunately, when I arrived at the Mainway U Haul and met with Camilo he couldn't find my storage reservation although he vividly remembered taking the reservation and my credit card to hold it until I came in on Sunday. After some delay, he found the original reservation which he noted had been over- booked by/to someone name Toby B. and I was apparently out of luck. He went to the acting manager who quite frankly was not much him nor I. Camilo diligently went to work to come up with an alternative (which turned out to be a split unit (i.e. 2 units combined) although he also said to me that it looked to be costing $30.00 more. He went to the acting manager RAM, who said he could do nothing to resolve my additional $30.00 concern even though none of the issue of losing the original reservation and subsequent replacement were of any fault of mine. Camilo said he would speak to Tracy Davenport the General Manager on Monday June 26, 2023 as he felt this was unfair also. To date, I have not heard from her yet. I am confident that I will. I have heard nothing but great things about her. I do want my rate adjusted by -$30.00 monthly. Otherwise I felt that both Mickey and Camilo were terrific ambassadors of your company. Terry M | Overall ExperienceThe one garage door has been broken for over a week and still hasn't been fixed and there's no sign on it saying that it's broken for customers to know. I did have one late night visit where the front doors would not open after I put my code in. Thankfully I was able to get in with the garage door and the door between the garage and the building was open. So that was my only frustration was that there is no consistency in the doors. Sometimes I would come late at night and the garage doors would open when I got in front of them. Sometimes I would come at night and I'd have to go inside and open the garage doors. Sometimes I'd come at night and the door between the garage and the building would open. Sometimes I would have to turn it on. I'm not sure the one evening when I came that the main door would not open after signing in. The only other thing that I was confused about is I thought the main door would stay unlocked for 30 minutes once I have signed in after hours. And I actually had to sign in every time the door closed to get it to open again when I was loading Thanks

The current unit, closed this past weekend and had since July, was a bit problematic. We were on the new build side and so access was denied after hours despite having a code. Then the access location was changed without notification. All the material in storage was covered in a thick layer of dust twice, to which I received zero response despite going to the office and being told that the 'manager would be told'. Koodoos to the team for assisting in getting access the Sat after the storm few weeks ago.

When we got there we got sent to the new location where there are none. With no choice and a full truck we were forced to move deep into a storage facility that was under construction with 24/7 access. Well since it was under construction we did not have access to our side of the building because the code machine was not installed yet. Further more I was absolutely disgusted to find that upon moving out I realized the amount of construction related dust that was all over my expensive belongings. The fact that we were paying 250+ dollars a month for this place is truly sickening and will never consider this properly taken care of unless uhaul makes this right. Which based on my experience with the desk staff I’m not expecting much. Giving this facility a 1 star seems outrageously high in my eyes. From start to finish a lack of care for the type of unit I booked and also just the overall safe keeping and cleanliness of the unit where my valuables were stored.

My case I asked her storage closer to the loading area and she gave me farthest one and took us 3 hours to unload our stuff half of this time was just walking in front of the empty similar size storages. I was so frustrated , each time she was coming from outside smoking cigarettes and smell was unbearable. I am sorry to tell the truth .
