I came to pick up my reserved truck on time and had to wait an hour before I left with my rental. There were approximately 12 people in line with, at times, one employee working. There was two working but not always there. Those same employees were the ones to go and retrieve your rental as well. Multiple customers left as the line was barley moving and they were clearly annoyed. Both employees (one being the General manager) stated that this was because the location was new and wasn't set up quite yet. If this is the case why are people being sent here? I had people lined up and waiting for me for over 45min because I was so late. Since it took me an hour to get the truck and then another 15min to drive to my house. I was also asked to take pictures of any damage on the truck not marked by an X. There was damage all over this truck not marked by an X. I told the employee I should not have to be responsible for taking pictures of the entire truck and wasting even more time to upload these photos. This was a horrible experience but one that I and many of my acquaintances have come to expect from UHaul

Maybe having an office tee hat isn't part of the repair shop they were spray painting a truck and the office front area smelt like spray paint and for someone that's sensitive to chemicals like me that wasn't a good place for me to go into

Location was under renovation so was unorganized. Staff was wonderful but had a far way to walk to get us set up. Trailer was dirty and smelled bad inside. You need more staff at this location.

PLEASE FIX YOUR 'SMART PHONE RETURN' PROCESS. When I rented the vehicle I was told to return it using the smart phone return process, since the location would be closed when I returned. When I tried using the return function I spent 90 minutes battling with the application, with no success. I then called customer service for assistance, where I was placed on hold & transferred SIX TIMES to other agents, with nobody trying in the least to help me. Totally disgusted with your pathetic return process and vowing never to rent from U-Haul ever again, my evening/sanity was saved by Sarah_Pickle (@uhaul.com). Where none of the previous six customer agents were willing to help me, Sarah went out of her way to acknowledge my frustration/anger with the return process.Then, unable to help me like the other agents were supposed to do, Sarah wrote & placed a note in my lease file along with the vehicle photos I sent her, to explain my issues returning the vehicle. Sarah then assured me the matter would be looked after the next business day. Sarah deserves huge kudos for her professionalism and dedication to help U-Haul customers, even though this was not her area of expertise. I sincerely wish I had the names of the earlier useless agents who did nothing to help me - they all should be reprimanded for their apathy and laziness.

Stood in line for an hour (only 3 people ahead of me) due to only one employee working to help every person with their rental. Once checked in the particular rental I needed was not yet returned and there was no back ups. I ended up with the smaller rental. This location was extremely unorganized and understaffed. The one employee dealing with everyone was helpful and great.

The staff was great. The place is brutal.... not a great way to portray your brand. They didn’t even have water so the staff was using portable toilets.

The fuel economy of the vehicle wasn’t great. Might want to do maintenance more often. I got 1.62km per litre and half of my trip was not loaded. I always stayed in the good fuel economy range, so it’s the worst fuel efficient vehicle I have ever encountered.

The staff are very friendly and quick. The vehicle was extremely clean, looked like they had professionally detailed it. It was a little out of my way but they had the truck when I needed it and the customer service makes it worth the extra couple of miles you pay for.

The check in check out procedure was so time consuming and slow it’s terrible. Makes me want to consider another company. The people at this location are great, but the procedure is terrible. The truck I borrowed worked well and was very grateful they had a truck for me on super short notice. The staff really did go above and beyond :)

When I contacted U Haul the day prior to my pick-up, I was told the original location did not have my trailer for that day. Also was not told that the original location which was on Blackfoot Trail's trailer was not able for the highway. So had to get another location. Also was not asked what size ball was on my trailer hitch, which resulted in me having to buy another hitch for $25, when I had another hitch at home. Also I dropped it off after hours ,18 hours earlier then my contract, and I get a $20 surcharge, which I didn't realize till this morning. So not impressed with the lack of information for the extra charges which were insurred.

Much miscommunication and duplication of work between online and in store. Fully set everything up online for mobile pick up; had to go into store. Also had to redo all verification including driver's license, and credit card for no reason. Truck was buried in the back and it took 30min to get out. Employee told me I was eligible for the "reservation guarantee" $50, which I have emailed the store about now twice with no response.

The exterior and interior of the truck were quite dirty. We used the vehicle to move homes and the dirt was pretty annoying. The staff at the location were awesome for both the pick up and drop off. Service was fast, and I had a bunch of questions about other services that they were able to help with.

The uhaul was late coming in and so it delayed my trip a little bit. It was supposed to have been returned by 10 am for my pickup of between 12 and 1pm. When I went in at 12:30 it was not there and all they said was there wasn’t another car hauler in all of Calgary! They didn’t do anything to help other than say they left the other guy a voicemail. Thank goodness he arrived at 1pm! Otherwise I would have to have taken a hotel and stayed overnight. Would uhaul have paid for this?

Trailer had dirt and mud in it and had to wash and sweep it out at home. Blackfoot Trail location had rented my reserved trailer out the day before requiring me to go to this location to get a different trailer. Not a good experience at all.

The truck was in rough shape, the brakes were terrible and you could smell brake pads. Also I forgot two pieces of wood for my baby's crib in the back of the truck and when I called to see if they were there at the return place the lady told me that they just threw them out. I don't understand why someone there wouldn't call the person that rented the truck before and I will let them know that they had forgotten something! And to just garbage someone else's stuff is terrible! Bad business in my opinion

Where to start... oh ya, it’s easy, just hire more freaking people. Almost 3 hours in line because obviously rental needs are higher at the end of the month. Two poor employees were running around like chickens trying to server everyone as quickly as possible. Considering the stress they were under they were very helpful and cheerful, so please help them out and improve your management.

do not change reservations that have been made via your internet site. i had movers booked and ready for October 30th. i was forced to move a 5 bedroom home myself with my girlfriend (no help and cost me a $300.00 deposit for movers i had hired and i could not use due to the garbage time that was changed for me by U-Haul 24 hours prior to the requested pick up. I had to take a truck for 8 hours that i could not even use as it was during MY working hours. i will spend as much time as i can to deter friends, family or others to ever use U-haul.

The site was understaffed, incredibly disorganized. The staff were friendly but extremely frustrating dealing with an unorganized system. There were several of us waiting in line for hours waiting for a rental. There was no explanation offered and I received my rental late by 3 hours, hence they charged me DOUBLE the rental fee for keeping it afterhours. Extremely unfair, I returned the truck promptly on the same night. This experience ruined my whole moving day, disorganized the schedule, and definitely wasted everyone’s time.

As always, Uhaul did not disappoint! A clean, well maintained truck was waiting for us for a 7 am Express Pickup. We had a little trouble with the app because we inadvertently went past the payment screen and also tried to enter information on a different smartphone than the one used to secure the booking. That was all on us. The lockbox opened easily and the truck suited our needs perfectly. Moving is stressful but Uhaul is a huge, affordable help.

The truck was not all that clean inside but I cleaned it before I left on my trip, windows and drink spills on Center console. Also thought I should check the oil level before I left as long haul through mountains, the oil was well below the add mark and I had to add 2 litres to bring it up past the add mark. Surprised that they don't check it before it goes out. Service rep was very good, friendly and efficient, no complaints with the service. Truck ran well.

Best uhaul experience I've had in the past 15 years, and I've moved every year! The truck was in fantastic condition, and the staff were extremely friendly. There was a problem with the 24/7 self service due to truck thefts, and the GM took care of the fact that I had to wait for an extra 1.5 hours (hadn't been contacted about the pickup time change) by crediting me the $50 guarantee. All around 10/10 service, and kudos to the GM for being so quick to help out, as I had already spent an hour on the phone with customer service.

I am excited that this location is so close to our office. We rent u-hauls six times a year to transport our showroom display to the BMO Centre for three different Home shows throughout the year. All the staff i have dealt with have been very efficient and knowledgeable. My only comment is that you need more staff. I waited for 40 minutes to pick up my u-haul on Monday morning. It may have taken me less time in total to go to the Blackfoot location to pick up a U-haul. I will try again in January and hope to not have to wait as long. Again, all the staff were excellent, just not enough of them.

I had an issue with my first location that I had a reservation for my pickup. It was the Meridian Rd. NE location in Calgary. When I went to pick it up I waited 30-45 minute in line. Once outside to pick up my Guaranteed Reservation I was not able to use the trailer as it had a flat tire therefore not road worthy. There was not another trailer available so I had to call U-Haul's 1800 number to try and locate another trailer. I was told there was one at the 36 Street SE location which put me behind schedule by about another hour. I was told there were 3 available and when I got there I was lucky that there was just one available. All told it was about 2 hours of time to get my rental.

There was no dolly in the truck despite requesting one and when I went to return it the employee slammed and locked the door ahead of me to avoid having a customer ask her a question that close to closing time. It was genuinely offensive.
