Royce SYou need to upgrade their Internet Equipment ever since going in there 4-5 times in the last 2 years the process of checking out is TERRIBLY SLOWWWWWWW. A simple change in the internet speed would make the lives of customers and the employees having to use it Far better.

john bThe lack of proper timely and proper communication at this location almost left me stranded without a truck Saturday night at 11pm. I called national at 4 pm and said i would not make pick up time by 7 pm close and they told me they were currently sending them a message telling them. National said it was no problem and that we the reservation could be switched to after hours pick up with truck share. I arrived and had no idea what truck was for me because I never received communication about after hours pick up. I call traffic and they don't have a clue as to pick up after hours, so they put me through to truck share to see if there was key to get from a lock box. Well truck share keeps me on hold for 35 minutes and it's almost midnight now and they don' t pickup, so I call back to traffic and they told me I may have to wait until morning????!!!! Then they told me that they could send me to a location with a key available with truck share!! Now it's midnight. Then I told them that I was dropping off one truck I brought back to Chattanooga and would have to take that truck back to Atlanta because I was not waiting until morning. I refused to travel to a different location. The agent was able to figure it out and extended my reservation on the current truck I had to get back home. Someone at the Chattanooga location needs to get their a together and communicate better for this was the worst service I have ever had in renting a truck before and have rented many times for moving jobs.
Gary CI’ve had my storage unit for 3-4 years while my daughter attended school at UTC. When I came to clear the unit April 6th. One of the stores locks were on the unit because my daughter had been having difficulty with her lock. She was given a lock with a lock code assigned. My daughter was not with us, however the unit was in my name. When I approached the associate to get assistance. His only response was she didn’t give you the code. He didn’t ask my name, ID or anything. We figured out the code. After clearing the unit. I approached the desk. He asked if I was clearing I said yes. He asked my last name and then said it has been closed and I sent an email. He didn’t go look at the unit. He didn’t explain anything. So at that time I said I just paid yesterday for the month. He then breathed hard and said I just came out the account. He then went back in my account and said you should have said that first. I could have saved you money. He then said I’m unable to pro-rate now. It’s not about the money, but the customer service. I utilized your business for 4 years. You’ve received every payment and for the employee to act as if I was a nuisance was astonishing. Never again in life will I use uhaul. Which is crazy because I would have utilized another 4 years for my other daughter that will be attending this Fall.

John BOne of the trucks that I rented had a leaky roof. I have wooden antique server that the left side of it got damaged due to water dripping on it. I told the service person, when I dropped the truck off.

Dan VI dropped my truck off at this location, there was no one at the awning which was clearly marked as the dropped location. So I went inside, politely said I was dropping my truck off, the man at the counter asks ‘do you have your ke’? I said yes, and showed him, he then rudely dismisses me by saying ‘you need to give those to the guy outside, I can’t do anything for you’? There was still no one at the awning, this is approximately 4:30 in the afternoon. So I started the checked out procedure on my app, I got through step 1( the app was very slow, I could easily have finished in the time I waited for it) but while waiting for step 2 to refresh, an attendant show up and casually told me he would finished the check in. I would not use this location in the future.
Michael MI reserved a 9’ van and the website said it was available but they stuck me with a 10’ van. fortunately i knew how to drive it but don’t claim availability when there isn’t.
Sabrina PComputer systems were down both at my pickup time and return. Staff was not friendly. Not even a brief orientation about the truck. Not fully fueled.

Ralph CThe truck drop off location was well organized and the staff quickly managed the turn in process. The inside area was very clean and inviting with a good selection of moving supplies. The only suggestion is to check the signage where vehicles are dropped off which said to wait with the vehicle when in reality customers should go inside the building to turn in the vehicle.
Mark DImprove the ordering process. The wrong hitch was sent to the location. My install was delayed for 10 days and I had to come in during work hours to get it done.
Troy ITwo things: the check engine light was on and there were cracks in the glass. Second, my only complaint is with your website. It was very misleading. The price at the end of my reservation did not include all the fees and it was more than double what the site indicated. That was not okay. Do better.

Hoyt DEmployees should refer to instructions Uhaul uses. Picking up - employee pointed to location of uhaul and told me I was good to go. I did not have my ringer on so I missed the text to check truck. Should have said to continue check out on phone. When dropping off uhaul - employee told me to pull in at a specific spot then told me to leave keys in uhaul and I was good to go. Received a call 2 days after questioning where the uhaul was. Employee should have told me to finish instructions on phone or go into shop to confirm drop off
Allyson AThis was NOT a good move by UHaul/UBox! Set up in Wilmington, NC, loaded and securely packed by recommended movers. Supposably shipped on 2/9/2024 to arrive in Chattanooga on 2/13/2024. Never made it! Seems lost in transit. Poor communication from UHaul as to where the shipment was and when it would be delivered. The box came on the 14th, but the contracted movers could not delivery until the next day because of lack of communication from UHaul. When the box was delivered and opened, it actually looked as if the box had been turned over or upside-down during transit. Still assessing damage. I have yet to receive my $50.00/day refund from UHaul as they missed the delivery date. Poor choice in moving service, other than moving labor contract. Will not be using again!!

Kimberly RThe location canceled my reservation and gave my cargo van to a person while I was waiting in line. When asked he said I was an hour late so he chose to cancel it, he had not tried to call me or contact me. I ended up having to hire a 20ft truck for a job that required a van, it was extremely stressful and difficult maneuvering this vehicle in a small neighborhood road.
Xavier SI had received a call from David demanding the rental. I informed him I was going to turn it in later. He argued with me saying it was due the day before. This was at SIX O’CLOCK IN THE MORNING. He was VERY unprofessional. I will never recommend this location to ANYONE.

greg dCRACK DRUG PIPE AND LIGHTER FOUND in the center upper area of van. U-Haul employees in Chattanooga at the broad street location REFUSE to refund us or admit to not having cleaned well enough to have found it first. It’s seriously negligent that they wouldn’t at least look to make sure there was dangerous stuff in there. I picked it up it up while I was cleaning and then saw the lifter next to it and immediately dropped it. Could have had fentanyl on it. This is absolutely horrible customer service and I will relentlessly keep spreading the word until someone makes this right.

Elizabeth FI made my reservation on line for the central ave location in Chattanooga. The site said they had the truck I wanted along with the supplies and confirmed the reservation. Later I was called and said my reservation was moved to the broad street location. I asked why and was told central avenue has no trucks or supplies. I arrived at the broad street location and they didn’t have the truck I reserved but they did give me a larger truck. I asked if my supplies were also ready and was told my pads were in the truck but I had to get the mattress bags at the ringold rd location. Went to the ringold rd location and they said I had to get them at central ave. I went there and that’s when I discovered they have nothing there but storage containers. The person at central however was the most helpful of all and got everything straightened out. She called broad street and told them everything they needed to do. So I went back to where I started and got the mattress bags. I lost an hour of moving time, drove a large truck all over narrow streets and also when I got to my location to start packing found there was no pads in the truck. I went ahead without them since I didn’t want to lose more time and experience even more frustration.
Nathan HThis is a rating of my overall experience with U-Haul, not this location. The process of pickup and returning the trailer I rented this past weekend was the most difficult and stressful of any I have ever experienced. The location where I would normally rent from didn’t have the size trailer I needed, so I went to another location. They had one, but it was already reserved. I was directed to a third location 30 minutes away to pick up the trailer I needed. When I arrived there, the door was locked and there was a sign that said they were closed for a school event. The drop off was just as difficult. You don’t want all of the details, but it took an hour and three more stops to get rid of it.

Ronald D | First ImpressionsThere was minimal info about storage options on the website for this specific location except its was on the second level based off that size. Most uhaul storage facilities are nice, climate controlled and secure. Plus they normally have an “upstairs” or multiple levels and to get upstairs there is atleast an elevator. There was NO elevator, only steps and this was not mentioned until after we got there. So as we are moving to this new city we have countless heavy items that we had to haul UP A FLIGHT OF STEPS when we thought we could just roll these things right up to a unit and unload quickly and efficiently. They knew we had an entire truck full of very large house items and didn’t question the full uhaul to bring up a flight of old metal stairs. It would be one of the hardest things to haul up steps for two people. So being it was almost time for them to close up for the night, and we had no where else to go with this full truck we had to settle for this and if we had known ahead of time that this was how the facility was we would taken our business elsewhere. Upstairs was no better than a old warehouse, hot and definitely not climate controlled. One of the last times we were in there getting all this stuff out and DOWN A FLIGHT OF STEPS we had to sign out of the facility with the code. Said it was signed out but it never locked the door to the inside storage facilities so we thought the code didn’t work since the door was still unlocked, so we opened the door as it was fully unlocked and the alarm went off. Of course they had all gone home for the night and we will get penalized if we do not sign out properly so as the alarm is going off both inside the facility and in the units no police ever came and we did not know what to do. The emergency after hours phone call person did not answer his phone and still did not call me back to this day (about 2 weeks ago) so we ended up calling 911 ourselves to let them know that we are tenants at the storage unit and their doors are not locking properly and that they need to be aware of this as this is not a great part of town. It’s good to know that the storage facility is probably improperly unlocked all day long and night and our valuables are all in one storage unit in this building. The employees are mostly helpful but not the most pleasant people. We will not be coming back here and we will be finding a newer nicer more secure storage unit for our things next time … And we have used family owned storage units in the past that have been nicer than this. I’m glad we didn’t have to pay a dime for this place.
