we chose a location on your site in Fairfield CT on Black Rock Turnpike to return the truck. We went to return it and they told us they no longer accepted UHAUL truck returns and then they sent us to Bridgeport. We get to Bridgeport and they want to charge us another $35 because that's not the original location we chose. Well HELLO - the location we chose (that was listed and accepted on your site) apparently no longer accepted trucks. We did not pay that xtra amount but it was pretty inconvenient. Someone needs to update their website

Local people in Bridgeport were excellent, in particular, Michael. However, the person in Phoenix whom set up my reservation failed to tell me about the nickel and diming that U-Haul is so notorious for doing. For example a $2.00 per day “vehicle recovery fee?” That’s a made up fee and simply U-Haul stealing. It leaves what should be a positive experience with a bad taste in my mouth.

I was double charged on my bank account for one rental, plus over charged for miles not used, I’m a regular customer so I’m a bit annoyed that it wasn’t fixed. But to be charged twice is unacceptable

The best uhaul i have been, great service, manager and staff very friendly. Highly recommend this location, staff didnt wait for me to come inside they greet me outside before i even got out of my car, thats a great costumer service. I have use other two uhaul location like fairfield and Boston ave and their service its not even closed to this location. Great service keep up the great job you guys doing. Thank you.

The UHaul in Stamford 12 Largo Drive was a disaster. When I got there , there were 4 p customers in front of me. They had been there over 30 mins and I was on tight schedule. So 40 mins later as they were trying to get my paperwork completed,,my movers called and I had to leave and go home. Got that done and went back and got an ancient unit. That didn't accommodate the wardrobe boxes that I had aske if they would fit multiple times. Called back and the guy in the beard was beyond rude. Told me to just call the 800 number. Which I did and the person I got was A+ and she saved the day. When I got to Bridgeport the guy had quickly put a light in the unit to allow me to rent it. As we were unhooking my trailer I got in Stamford they told me that unit was ancient and they would of never rented a unit that old for a 700+ mile drive. They quickly got me going again and thank god they did.. Everyone I dealt with with Uhaul was great except the people in Stamford at 12 largo drive.

If I decide to use U-Haul Rental again, I would use this location. The staff was prepared and assured me that equipment was tested before being rented out. I think your U-Haul Rental Centers are far better than vendors who rent out U-Hauls along with other business activities. Original location refused to provide order. Was sent to second location. At that location there were no staff to be found. Found a walkie talkie and radioed staff that there were people waiting in the lobby. Other customer had been buzzing all the storage units looking for someone to help. This is my fourth recent use of Uhaul. Service has been HORRIBLE every time. Hours wasted going to different sites than reserved. Staff are slow. Often the order is not on the computer when you arrive and they have to hunt for it.

Everything was fine until I found out that the truck I dropped off wasn’t checked in and I was charged an extra fee for late turn in. After a conversation with the manager later in the day, I was refunded the extra fee. Besides that, place was fine.

Michael was absolutely wonderful both for the pick up and drop off of the van. He was so helpful and patient during a busy holiday weekend. Other U-Hauls around this location were overwhelmed due to the busy weekend and turned us away. I will recommend this location only because of the wonderful service experience Michael provided.

They were extremely slow in the check out. They charged an after hours service fee that was not mentioned in check out. The after hours service was $20 which doubled the the cost of rental (excluding the insurance). There was no cause for the afterhours service fee because I had the insurance as well. Will NEVER go back to this location.
