I ordered a truck from a U-Haul location close to my house, they then emailed and told me I needed to pick it up in a different city. I was supposed to drop it off at the storage facility– where I unloaded it – and they sent me a text saying I had to drop it off at a different place.

I am disabled, so they were sure to give me a unit very close to the door. And I love the unloading/loading bays. So convenient to be able to pull inside the garage, close the door, grab a cart they provide, and go about my business out of the weather. I would 100% refer everyone to use AMMON U=HAUL ON 17TH ST for all your storage needs.

They gave a unit inside, right near the door. They also provide several carts that will carry boxes, mattresses, or any large items right from my car to my unit, all while being enclosed in the drive in loading bay. I never have to deal with the weather conditions. The site itself is well maintained, and security cameras are everywhere. The keypad codes are great. If someone comes in and opens any door that isn't connected to the code, alarms go off and in just a minute or two, security is there. II WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND USING AMMON UHAUL STORAGE FACILITY.

There is an overweight male with redish brown hair and a beard that is completely useless as an employee. Almost to lazy to breath. I rented a truck and returned it right before quitting time and he wouldn't check it in. I guess to close to quitting time. Also, when I picked it up the truck was not in the staging area and he wouldn't go find the truck. I found it way up by the main road being used as a billboard. Sorry, but Penske has you beat in everyway. I will go with them in the future.

I called and spoke to Russell and explained that we never even opened the unit. He was able to cancel/move out of the unit with ease. He asked if we had paid anything that would need to be returned to us, but due to renting a U-Haul truck, the first month was free anyway. All in all, 10 out of 10 stars! I recommend this location to everyone needed a truck.or storage.

We went on line and was able to get two units at this location. We tried to get permission to drop the trailer at the 17th Street site, but it said we had to take it to the closed Lincoln Road location by 6:30 PM on Sunday. The Lincoln Road location was horrible to try to leave a trailer at because there were only two car parking spaces. The asphalt, on the narrow drive, is caving away into a rock filled ditch making it very difficult to turn the vehicle and drop the trailer.

Denise L | Overall ExperienceTL;DR Ask questions, be careful of Kryslyn. Ask for Mikayla, she rocks! Give her a raise!!! I initially came into the store in Ammon, ID on 2/6/23 with some general questions about our U-Boxes and getting a storage unit. I was told they had been delivered, but decided to hold off on getting a storage unit right then. Fast forward a week. My wife and I came in to get a storage unit and were assisted by Kryslyn. She seemed to be deep in thought looking at her computer screen trying to figure stuff out for us. After looking things over for a bit, she informed us that there was no option for a single 10x15 unit available but could do 2 separate units (a 5x10 and a 10x10) right next to each other. This was not an ideal solution, but seeing as this was the only option, we decided it would work. Kryslyn only charged us for only one disc lock even though we were getting two different units so that was nice! Then Kryslyn seemingly couldn’t confirm our U-Boxes had been delivered to the facility, when 2 managers earlier confirmed they had been delivered. This was slightly disconcerting, but I recognize information doesn’t always get relayed to everyone. To our delight Kryslyn wanted to personally put her eyes on the U-Boxes to confirm they were on-site! My wife and I wanted to come the following morning to start unloading the U-Boxes into our 2 units. Kryslyn said she’d call us if she could not find the U-Boxes, but not if they were in fact there at the facility. We asked Kryslyn to please call us no matter the result of her search for our own piece of mind. This seemingly wasn’t something Kryslyn was too keen on as she rolled her eyes at my request! My perception was that Kryslyn couldn’t be bothered to make a phone call to inform us that we would be all set for the following day. This really did not sit well with myself or my wife, but we got taken care of mostly, so who are we to really complain? We had not received a phone call by about 5:30pm that day so I decided to call the store and try and confirm things. I was never able to get the store on the phone; instead getting transferred to a call center. I finally gave up after getting rerouted to the call center 2 different times. Instead I would call in the morning bright and early when they opened at 7am. Once again, no store, only call center, TWICE! I decided to go to the store personally and try and see what was going on. I was greeted by Mikayla I had previously met at the store! It was during this visit she informed me she was the Assistant Manager! Mikayla promptly started digging into things. Mikayla was rightly surprised to see that we were sold the two different units when there was plenty of options available for a single 10x15 unit; also much closer to where the U-Boxes would be unloaded! Mikayla said it would be quick and easy to transfer. Mikayla then gave me the new contract to look over when she discovered I had paid for my first month (as one would expect!) when there was actually a promotion currently going for a free month. Mikayla promptly refunded my card for the free month. She waited for another employee to arrive then personally confirmed our U-Boxes being on site and called me personally to inform me as such. She deserves a raise!!! Thank you for your wonderful assistance Mikayla!!!

Diane M | First ImpressionsThe Ammon U-Haul was awesome and the facility was very nice. I was asked to turn in my truck early on Sunday, which wasn’t a problem. UNTIL we went to the Grand Teton Storage and they were closed. I wasn’t given any info on where to park the truck. So…I called the Ammon U-Haul and explained to Nancy that maybe she could help. She apologized and said that she has never been there. She said that she would message them. At this moment I was hitting a wall due to driving 16 hours the day before, unloading some stuff at my new home and the rest to the storage unit. There were signs posted so I started to get on-line and go thru the return procedure. It had been snowing and I couldn’t really see anywhere to park so I parked the truck by the exit gate on the side. While this is all taking place there was a women looking out of her window next to the office that had a closed sign on. She let her dogs out and looked at me but never said a word. The door said Private so I didn’t want to bother her and she wasn’t very approachable either. She saw the U-Haul truck going around and then stopped in front of her door but didn’t say anything. While I was filing out the return on my phone in my car, she open her front door and wanted to know “What I was doing?” I explained I was told to drop off at this location and there is non signage of where to park a return truck??? She said to park it on the street so that’s what I did. She was not friendly at all! My experience from Arizona pick up and then storage drop off was great but the other location drop off was not pleasant. I was doing U-Haul a favor by turning it in early without any compensation offered and then it have it end like this.

When we went to your location to buy $134 worth of boxes, I asked the guy working there if I could still get the free month, but he said I was too late. When I came in the afternoon to start putting my property in the unit, there was only one person working to cover all aspects of service. I had to hunt him down to get help in knowing how to access the building. When I got to my unit, there was a lock on it. I had to contact the staff member to have him remove the lock. Finally, there wasn’t a lock for me when the unit was opened, so I had to ask for one.

sydnee c | First ImpressionsThe staff is made of teenage kids. I've had this storage unit for almost a year and everytime I've tried to call to make a payment they put me on hold for over 20 minutes. Then eventually it goes to voicemail, the voicemail says their closed, Hours before their online hours tell you. So if that happens on the day your payment is due it means you get a late charge... not $5 not 10% but a whooping $25. All because those kids refuse to answer the phone. So if you don't physically plan on walking into the building to pay your bill every month, expect a late fee charge. But even if you do, expect a bunch of kids who are just flirting with each other and treat you like your annoying them. Then if you call the cooperate office they just tell you to pay the bill online... Good luck figuring that out. In order to make an online account you need your account number, which if you don't keep your original rental agreement, then noone else apparently knows how to find it... Don't even try asking the teenagers, they have no clue. But yes it's clean and it appears to have plenty of cameras and anti-theft options. But it's your stuff and if you don't have the time to go in to the building every month to pay, or can't get someone to figure out how to sign you up for an online account. Then expect to overpay... ALOT!

If this is something that has to be done, the same setup that is on the outside also needs to be in the bay area. Then went to put things in Unit. Wrong name on key. Had to again walk into store to get right one. So inconvenient. I feel I shouldn’t have any charges for fuel also free second month

Sent student to wrong size unit and now charging $54.95/Mo. and Student is in another state now and can't fix it. Poor management. Sad customer service from Hailie Johnson at this location. Tried to resolve over the phone, but she refused to be helpful!
