Tammy CThe truck I rented had a knob for the cabin temperature that would not move. I don't know if it was just stuck or glued in place or what happened but I was roasting on my 100 mile trip. I couldn't roll the windows down because it was raining. Also you really need to invest in trucks with cruise control.

Steve OWe had made reservations over the phone with Philip uhaul team member . After arriving at the location in Toledo that our reservation was made for , we had nothing but issues ! The employee was struggling with the 3 customers that were waiting . He would start the process of one customer then move to another never finishing one customer at a time . He couldn’t lovate keys for the unit that was on our contract . He had trouble directing us through the contract . Then another employee showed up . She said our reservation never included the price of the car hauler and was not apart of the contract we had signed . This employee was rude and threatened us . Then she canceled our contract . She then redid it charging us double . We left that location and went to the location on Reynolds road in Toledo Ohio . Jessica found our reservation for truck and car hauler that the previous location denied ever seeing . We left Reynolds location finally around 1:00 with both rentals we had reserved at 10am that same morning . Thank you to the employees of Reynolds rd Toledo Ohio location . After our experience we had that morning with the first location on Collin’s in Toledo it left us tormented and uneasy with using uhaul for an important move we had to make from Ohio to Florida. I am currently renting a storage untit in FortMeyers flordia . We had a good experience with this location . I’m not sure if I would recommend uhaul to anyone close to me for important events
Jody AAttendance need to take us out to inspect the vehicles before we leave. When we come back the same. No one did that. So, if any damage was done or if it wasn't done, we could be accused of doing something. Also, the gas and mileage is not looked at at that time. You just leave the vehicle and go home. They can tell you anything that you owe them and it may not be so. Better communication please.

We had concerns about how the hitch would look on our beautiful brand-new 2024 Toyota Prius Ltd...... they help put our worries to rest before the installation. We are completely delighted & grateful for such nice professionals.

Wayne TIt would be a great service if we could pick up after hours. You could have keys in Amazon-like lockers at the location and use electronic signatures for contracts. I like the after hours drop off very much.

Brian LCustomer service the day of the actual rental was perfect! Lamont helped us every step of the way. Prior to returning the rental my husband was hung up on 6x the representative was very rude and would not listen to what he had to say he had to call a total of 11x I order to resolve an issue.
Kristen JI was charged an extra $226 because of an error when writing down mileage. I understand that mistakes happen but I was already tight on money and have to wait 3 to 5 business days to get my money back. So now after moving I have to wait to get necessary things for my place for myself and my daughter until my refund is issued.

Andrew WLamont continues to be a GREAT representative for your company. He is always knowledgeable, helpful, and courteous. I rent trucks with Uhaul probably 20-25 times a year, and while there are closer locations - I use the Reynolds Road location because I am always satisfied with their service and equipment.

Zack HI had made the reservation with zero issues but then had some technical issue I needed to get past with the U-Haul app. The gentleman on the phone was very professional and nice and I explained to him that I fully understood my issue was more on the tech side of things and that I’d be fine with calling a customer service number. He continued to try to help me for a minute more and then this extremely rude woman/girl just got on the line and interrupted our conversation and just said, “look we can’t just sit here and stay on the phone like this with you …” The gentleman’s name that was great was Terry— I don’t know the girls name but my goodness … extremely rude and has no business being anywhere near customer service. Outside of her there were no issues, but I won’t be using this location ever again.

Michelle LWhat happened to me has soured my whole impression of U-Haul and I will not be renting again!! I was honest and said that I was taking the trailer out of the local area and the attendant told me that they had a trailer that needed to go were I was heading so I accepted it thinking I was helping out. When I dropped the trailer off I got a big surprise! I only used the trailer for 26 hours and was charged $575.00!!! When asked why so much I was told (after the fact) that they have a minimum of 5 day rental outside local area and I cannot take the trailer back as it was turned in and would cost another $575.00 to take it back!!! I was duped into believing you ran an honest business and would not screw your customers but here I sit without any lube!!! I will be contacting the better business bureau and the local media about this shameful display of abusing your customers. I will not be renting from you again and will be notifying all the agencies I am part of to stay clear of your company!!!

RICHARD MSmoke-filled cabin, filthy exterior where you couldn’t inspect it properly before leaving, wrong gas level, needed oil change. Been going there for years. Has steadily declined. Not having many other options is the problem.

Leland PI ended up testing positive for Covid during trip, I dropped off the truck at this location because I had worked with them before and they were great, but they were not the drop off location that the NC U-Haul people chose for me. Something that would help future renters is allowing the drop off locations to be more fluid. I absolutely did not want to be face to face with a human and was far to sick to drive an additional half hour to drop it off, I believe I might have been charged for this as well. Overall I will think twice before I rent another U-Haul truck, this last experience was really not a good one, your truck needs some serious attention that it never got. The NC location needed to do a 100% better job of receiving the truck and verifying it was ready for a new renter. IT WAS ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!

The staff was very helpful whenever it came to trying to help me with this situation but in all my clothes were ruined along with lots of my children’s clothes, shoes, and toys along with a few other household items and jackets, coats, hoodies ruined. So get insurance and be safe than sorry.
