Cheresse TThe associate would not allow our employee to pick up the vehicle even though we have an online reservation with a credit card on file. She also stated that we were not permitted to utilize the mobile pick-up option without a company account. The associate appeared hostile and disinterested in finding a solution that works best for our continued business. I had to leave an important meeting to physically respond to the site and wait an additional 20 minutes for the associate to begin working with us, because another associate was busy taking a test for school. Poor customer service all the way around.

Benjamin FOnline self-check in process was ridiculously slow and problematic at each step of the way. I wish I could have cancelled my reservation and gone somewhere else - it was that frustrating. There's no reason it is such a slow process at this stage of technology.

ronald jThe bathrooms could use some work. Cleaning was poor and they were usually not well supplied. I also found the main garage door was usually not working. That was not a big deal for me because I could also use the sliders to get things in and out. Overall the important components...security, access and facility lighting were great!

DOMINIC Babsolutely incredible experience! I have rented many uhauls and used uhaul storage facilities before. This was by far the nicest and cleanest I have ever been to. I had to reserve the rental last minute and the woman checking me in was so helpful and patient. The truck was spotless and had zero problems. The drop off process was seamless.

Michael M | Overall ExperienceThe person at the counter was asleep or under the influence of something when I arrived in the building. I was charged over $1,000 more than the estimate we received online. Unfortunately, I had flown across the country from Seattle to help my son move out of his home and he needed to be out on the day that we came to rent the U-Haul, so we had no choice but to pay this additional money. If I had known this when we requested an estimate, I would have looked at other moving options. The person at the counter was rude and unprofessional during this interaction. As an example, while she was going through the questions to fill out the forms, she asked me if I wanted them to load our vehicle on the trailer. I told her that I would prefer that they load the vehicle on the trailer so there won't be any issues with transporting it. She then let out a visible sigh of frustration and then told me that it would be an extra $20 if I wanted them to do it. I told her that since I just now had to pay an extra $1,000 I would still rather pay that extra twenty dollars to ensure that the vehicle is secured properly since we're moving across the country. She then tells me in a rude manner that she doesn't know how to put a vehicle on the trailer, so she's not going to do it and she's putting down that I refused. Why would you even bother asking me this if you had no intention of actually following through and do it. She didn't want us to walk out with her to get the van and vehicle trailer, and told us to go back into the office. When she returned to the office she handed me the key to the U-Haul and said "there you go". She didn't give any walk through of the vehicle or explanations, and we probably spent the next 10 minutes figuring out the operation of the vehicle and trailer, including discovering that the trailer lights weren't actually hooked up to the U-haul. Luckily we discovered this when my son and I had to do our own self-inspection before we put the vehicle on the trailer and started our journey out of the city of Baltimore. If we hadn't discovered this, it could have been a disaster for us to not have turn signals and brake indicators while traveling through the city, and we could have been liable if we ended up getting into an accident.
Charles CThe guy who checked me in and out ruled. Made it a super easy, no hassle experience. I’ve rented other times and it was a lot of wasted time at the desk, at the rental, during return. None of that nonsense with him. Got me hooked up and going, which was great because I had a long day ahead of me and more messing around meant less sleep.

Maurtice CI had rented and moved a U-haul box from Oregon and it was received at the Pulaski Hwy location. It arrived late because of a winter storm but I picked it up myself, emptied the box and returned it the same day, in January. The Pulaski Hwy location then claimed i had the box in storage and tried to bill me. This was after the location that had shipped it in Oregon claimed it was in storage in Oregon and tried to bill me for storing it. Both did it after I had a recipe for already returning the box. This experience was so bad that I will never use U-haul again and will never recommend it to anyone. Absolutely unprofessional and ridiculous, not to mention the customer service personnel acted so disinterested in helping me it only added to my frustration.

Dominice DWe did arrive at the U-Haul Moving & Storage at Pulaski Hwy to turn in the truck slightly after closing time. There was a worker inside that was short and abrubt with us. Not friendly at all. Lot was poorly lit. We did the self check in. Return box was hard to locate, needs to be displayed better. I was called by the location the following morning about the return not having the tow dolly, that was turned in before we actually departed on our trip. We called UHaul and confirmed the return, but the lady at the U-Haul Moving & Storage at Pulaski Hwy was very rude to me over the phone and we should not have done that. I called UHaul and the rep I spoke to over the phone said they would take care of it.

Finally Greg that works there,open another door,after we ask,after sitting in our own uhaul for 11/2 ,waiting to get inside storage,to get our furniture. Then the elevator wasn't working, and never did.we had to take turns,with guy that was already there,using the service elevator. Mice droppings were everywhere,in our storage bind.even on our furniture. Pulled cotton out a couch,so I had to throw my sofa chair. Awful experience. .never recommended anyone going there.

An additional five hours the following just to sort out moving me from the deserted location to my intended destination. I need a full refund. Very chilling experience.

lorenzo eThe items I rented, furniture pads and utility dolly were not located inside the truck. After going back inside, I was only given half the amount of furniture pads instead of the full amount I paid for. Additionally, it was a little frustrating to check in and do everything online and then have to walk inside and still show my ID and answer questions to get the key. If we’re checking in online, everything should be able to be done without needing a physical representative.

She’s extremely rude and disrespectful with her terrible attitude and unwillingness to be just, honest and professional. As of today i still have not received my refund due from my cancellation of the insurance I added after someone tried to break my lock to get into my storage room. I emailed the manager Ms. Sharon L on June 8th 2023 to tell her that my renters insurance with GEICO does cover my storage room at Uhaul also. My email explicitly asked for a cancellation of the insurance from uhaul I was paying and I also attached a copy of my proof of insurance/ declaration page from GEICO. On October 30th i came by to move out but my storage unit was illegally locked by Uhaul even though my account was paid in advance. The white male i dealt with promised walked with me my helper to my unit. However he was unable to unlock the uhaul lock on top of my own lock but he promised to come back to cut out the illegal lock but he didn’t. I had to reschedule my move for the 31st instead because of the lock Uhaul put illegal my on top of my own lock, causing me to pay extra for bringing movers. On October 31st i met with Ms Sharon the manager to let her know of my dissatisfaction and also ask for a refund for the month of November and the refund for the insurance from June to October 2023. I still have not received the refund of the insurance. Ms Sharon asked me to resend the original email from and I did however still no refund yet. Please refund my money. Fatima

I had to throw my ($350) sofa in trash, as it was filled with rodent and roaches poop and smells terrible. People at the store were very unfriendly. I had to pay $500 today (9/3) to have everything from my storage removed & hauled for trash. This storage facility is a disgrace & needs to be closed down ASAP! When I told the employee there his response was "oh the rat traps must not be working." Like how could you knowingly accept business knowing these conditions. The manager is very nonchalant about it and shows no empathy at all!!!!

I was then offered a bigger unit, with no price adjustment due to THEIR mistake, and proceeded to give me a unit that was ALREADY rented out to someone else. At that point they told me that they had no units for me. How is that possible? I drove from Philadelphia with a full 26’ truck and was left scrambling because of complete incompetencey. This facility should be absolutely ashamed of itself. I was also charged for gas even though i filled the tank to the levels i received the truck at. When i spoke over the phone with customer service that agreed with me based on the pictures i took of the fuel levels. Just greed, incompetence and flat out stupidity. I will never use uhaul again and am in the process of asking for a refund. I will also tell everyone I know to stay away from this facility and have called the better business bureau about this issue.

I had a couple of books I was keeping but it is too late now... I have two units in Alaska and never paid $50 to bust the lock... The staff took my brand new lock off which I should be compensated the $11.++... My discarded property had sentimental and Spiritual value to me and I have to close this chapter with U-Haul at a loss of years of payments to be tossed without calling me prior to clearing out my unit. I've interaced with 4 different people at this location and each interaction was just as pleasant as the last. I would use this facility again just because of the people who work there. It is not the nicest uhaul location as far as the space but the service is unmatched. I think there may have been a mouse that got into my belongings and there was no food stored there so that's not great but the staff was incredibly helpful with every part of my move and storage needs. Robert and the team at this location all deserve bonuses fir the way they treat people and make uhaul look good.

Silvia H | First ImpressionsMy storage unit was stolen at this location. The theft cut the haul lock and replace it with other while none of the workers notice. The theft came multiple time and empty the unit. When I notice the staff they were indifferent and unwilling to corporate. One of the worker even say it’s my problem for getting it stolen and she had worked here for 9 years and this never happened before. After I notice the lock was replaced by theft they told me I can’t cut the lock myself and have to wait 48 hours for them to cut it. After I called the police and insist that I need to open the storage today since it is no longer safe. They cut the lock for me after 7 hours. Even worse, when I got there they left the storage unit unlock even after they know there was theft. And when I talked to the manager, he said he cut the lock but he wasn’t aware of theft, cause the staff didn’t notice him. Before the theft, I was trying to get in the storage in access hour which is 5am to 10pm. The front door was broken. I called the staff they said it was broken and the alarm was off. And say the hour should be to 9pm, which is a lie. This place also doesn’t have security camera everywhere. When the theft happen, they told me there isn’t security camera at my storage.

Then when I go to get my stuff the elevators are down no one inform me of it. I had rented a uhaul truck and labor, which I still had to pay. I get a bill with a late fee $40 which I wouldn't have gotten if communication was better because o would had my property 6wks ago. I don't think I should have been charged for them inconvenience me but I was.
kenneth c | Overall ExperienceI can't say enough good about the staff at this facility, especially the manager and the new staff member who handled the paperwork for my move in! On a 93 degrees Baltimore day when their air conditioning unit was out and also the elevator in the storage building the kindness and clear-headedness with which they handled my move in was amazing. The weather situation nearly did me in, but these troopers, professionals all the way, adjusted and adapted and kept a positive spirit and upbeat attitude every step of the way. I couldn't have done any of what they did, even when I was younger and more inclined to deal with adverse circumstances. Not only were they helpful to me, but also to the Moving Helpers moving my stuff in from the Uhaul van to the storage unit. I'm sorry I didn't take time to learn their names because I want to remember them not only as super pros, but also as people who care about their customers as human beings. Moving back to Baltimore to begin my retirement journey I will be eager to recommend this site to everybody I know needing storage space. I will learn the names of the two professionals stuck in a hellish situation themselves who went the distance to keep my experience from being unpleasant and find a way to express my appreciation. I hope Uhaul admin around here recognizes how valuable these folks are to the company!

I paid for 24 hour access and found that I was the wrong storage facility I was told Canton during the reservation however I emailed a different location. Highland town . The facility didn't have the spaced that reserved for. I was running out of time. Was not able to put all my pieces in storage. I was not able to drive up to the dock, due to the places is locked after 8 pm. I left the office like 7:39 to go home to to get my things to come back to the facility. I'm was very frustrated and mad after looking into a smaller storage than I originally reserved. I had to move my things in the storage leaving on have to stiggle to get through a small door! Iaftet seeing the strlirwhe I had no time or money to reserve another place . After looking inside the storage facility I had cried . It was so upsetting to see that my things were in an old room with a big Rat Trap and very thin walls and the floor was cracked to the point it had easy access for rats to run over things. You told the office man to change out my storage due to the access to the building. And gave me a smaller one. The one assistant at the office knows how I feel about the whole situation. The manager was not there . The assistance at the office had to handle the office by himself . He had it under control. It was really busy.

Lights were on motion sensors which I appreciated but there weren’t enough of them. No light whatsoever in units. The ceiling on the unit was a mixture of large box fencing and some sort of plastic sheeting.

Lost revenue and time and ended up losing a days work to resolve this issue. Then i reschedule with the movers and they NEVER showed up the following morning. One of them was especially very patient with showing me the door code process and took extra time to walk with me to the unit. He showed me how to use the ladder and even got the lock out of the unit for me. The customer service given to me was above and beyond exceptional! THERESA G | First ImpressionsWhen I moved in I paid for the 24/7 access hours. There was no light hanging up in the back area where my storage locker was located. I could barely see what was in my storage locker during the day and couldn't see anything at night. The ceiling broke apart over my locker a month into my storage and ruined half of the items in my storage locker. I was partially replaced a couple months later but it was a patch job. Rat's got into my locker and defecated everywhere (There was nothing edible in my locker but I believe the locker next to me had something in it). The solution to all of this was somebody throwing a tarp, bucket and ladder over the top of my locker. I am absolutely disgusted with my experience at this facility. I paid for a locker that was not serviceable and the result was half of my property getting covered in rat poop, dust and ceiling debris. I emailed the manager about this (And got no response). I also confronted employees and him in person but nothing was immediately done to help me. None of the employees/the manager were rude but nothing was done to help me. Am I a customer or is uhaul just collecting my money every month for a service that I am no be rendered!!!!

That may just be the way it is everywhere, but I'll never want to put my belongings in storage again. The first time I went to retrieve my things, there was a glue trap right in front of the door with a wriggling mouse stuck in the glue, which I then had to dispose of myself, and I couldn't even locate a garbage can, so I had to carry it downstairs in the elevator to the bathroom where I knew there was a garbage can. Maybe that's just the way it has to be, and I'll just never use self-storage again. But I do want you to relate to your employees that I am grateful for their assistance.

We had a lot of our cloth furniture bit through. Mattresses and couches were destroyed. Not to mention how unsanitary that is to have nice chewing your mattress and relieving themselves on there as well! My “like new” king mattress is now trash. Thank God I got the insurance!!!! I’m doing a claim today!

Although, they advertise 24-hour access to your things, but in my experience even the after-hours access door locks up at 10pm; therefore, making your access code useless. Another big issue my wife and I experienced was mice/rats. It is advertised that your stuff is safe from chemical treatments that the facility has done to "maintain" their pest problem. Out of one week of going to my unit to move our belongings to our new home, three of those days in a row I saw multiple mice run from unit to unit on the third floor. Now, I’m in the United States Army, I’ve dealt with much worse conditions before, but if you’re going to advertise you are managing your pest problems, I expect them to be managed better than what I experienced. Because of this facility, my wife and I had to disinfect every single item in our unit and throw many things away. This facility also almost ruined our $2000 bed. Again, some staff were very friendly and helpful, but the facility itself needs to be better maintained. It was a nice secure place for our belongings for the two and a half weeks it was there, but never again will I come to this place, or recommend it to anyone else. I prefer not to have more of my belongings ruined by mice/rats.
