The office was almost always closed with a sign on the door too contact another facility for assistance. What little interaction there was they were unable to help. The facility itself was clean and the elevator and free use of carts was helpful.

Unorganized. Map is incorrect that tells you where to park. They know this and do nothing about it. Then expect you to come back and move the vehicle once placed in storage. Why would. I be placing my vehicle in storage if I was expecting to access it regularly. Parking spots aren’t labeled. Which just adds to the problem.

Number 4 above does not apply to staffat the rented location, but a different facilty. On the same day, I was knocked around to several places and several different times that switched throughout the day for my U-Haul trailer. Then, I was allowed to reserve a U-Haul storage unit that was not available when I arrived and was tossed around to several different storage facilities before landing at this inconvenient one. Inconvenient both in location and amenities itself. Ended up paying more for less- a lessor unit that required me to go upstairs with no elevator. It only had a cargo lift that was extremely slow and you have to walk up and down the stairs. Had to give up on U-Haul and rent with Penske and another storage facility. Thanks for all the extra work I had to do, moving twice, U-Haul. Much happier now I left. The person who rented me the storage unit, whom was at a different location than where the unit was, was at least helpful to get me into some kind of unit after being placed in an awful situation by U-Haul. She also drove over to us after the U-Haul facility we were at failed to follow their own "lock in unit" policy. Thank you to them, at least. I appreciated that .

I needed a 10X10 unit. They had only one they didn’t tell me it was on the 2nd fl. That was partial my fault I started it on line then moved to calling them because there are no hard and fast rules with U-Haul it is what ever the who own or runs that one want’s apparently. Some are 24/7 some are till 9pm some you need insurance some you don’t. Some give you a lock and the first some don’t. Some give refunds some well … don’t.

I just had a Hernia surgery and whoever was your security guard that lives in the back there was extremely rude the night that I moved in I got there about 7:30 PM and it was only me and my fiancé and he come at about 10 o’clock but they were still at other customers that had the door open so I didn’t realize how late it was and he made the accusation that I was not allowed to sleep there which I thought was extremely rude and he definitely needs a class in customer Etiquette

Originally reserved a ground level until. When I got to Florida found out only 2nd floor climate controlled small unit available. Took it because felt I had no choice. I had my unit almost a year. Most of the summer it was in high 80’s low 90’s inside. The deal breaker elevator out of service for over 2 months. Made it impossible to get things in or out.

Everything was fine until the last month. I unit leaked when it rained and ruined one of my wall hangings. Also, they took money out of my account, overdrafting my bank without my permission for the month of September. When I was already moved out. Very disappointed.

The place was not planned out real well,them knobs on the floor to keep the carts in place 1,2,3,4 is a trip hazzard!!! I fell twice. And smelled horribly because of dead fish in the drain. It took us longer time as well because the drain is slanted and the carts kept rolling to the center what a nightmare and who designs a storage on the second floor, nothing like making it more difficult and once I get my things out of there i will never use u-haul again

The process of transferring this account to me was smooth once I reached the manager, which took a long time on hold. He also returned my call within a reasonable time and responded to my concerns. The staff on the phone is courteous. The major problems were: The elevator: It failed or was inoperable more than half the occasions I was there, including on move out day. This was costly to me in time spent with paid help. In addition, there are not enough carts available for the demands of that busy facility. There should be at least two elevators and two sets of carts for the needs of customers with storage on-site. Finally, having to drive several blocks to get a helpful human being is a great inconvenience, especially with equipment that is frequently failing and being pressed for time to accomplish tasks there quickly. Calling the numbers provided on the front door results in unreasonably long wait times with U-Haul. The staff at the office who closed out the contract were very friendly.

The first manager sold me a lock at the 66th street facility then cut my lock off that she sold me stating that it wasn’t an approved lock for the facility. Replaced my lock with one from u-haul and did not provide me a key for over 6 months . Never minded that I am paying for 24 hr access that was never provided and sent me to the sale twice . The worst experience ever and Will never use this facility ever !!

The move out was not by my doing - the agent named Josh at the 66th St store took it upon himself to cancel my contract. Not sure why he had the authority to do this but my reservation was paid, confirmed & move in was completed. When I called for the access & lock codes he went off on me sharing his extreme frustration & aggravation, said “ya know I can just cancel your reservation!” then hung op on me. When I called back he continued to forward my calls to the Corp call center until the store closed for the day. He has cost me a day of moving so far & a fine for being late moving out of my current unit. The next step is going to be an eviction - a permanent violation on my public record which would have a continuing negative impact on my ability to rent for the next 7 years. This employee has decided to take it upon himself to cancel a contract I have with Uhaul. I’ve done nothing wrong here & am being treated as though I skipped ahead of the line and took something not belonging to me. It’s an empty unit - it’s showing available in your system & 3 of your call center agents confirmed this. If a customer went against any of the policies of your contract there would be a penalty of some nature yet an employee chooses to not allow a paying customer the authority to move into a unit causing a trickle down effect of negative impacts and that seems to be ok. All I’m asking is to please be granted access to my unit so that I may move in today and not continue to incur fines for not moving out of my other facility. Thank you

Our interaction with all of the personnel and staff was excellent I like the climate control and the facility was convenient to our home. We however experienced damage two valuable personal items from water that leaked in from the roof. The matter is unresolved as of this writing. I sent an email with pictures to U-Haul and I have not been contacted though it has been more than 10 days.

The problem we encountered has nothing to do with the facility. The problem is with uhauls corporate process of overbooking storage units and allowing others to snipe the unit I reserved 3.5 weeks prior to check in. It's disgusting corporate greed and unethical and corporate has been made aware of this awful practice by the managers but you still do it. And the unit level people have to apologize and fix your mess.

Our unit had a leak in it. If we didn’t need to get an item out of the unit we would not have known about the leak. 8 of our boxes were wet, all items were taken away and dried and reboxed. We were given replacement boxes and our unit was moved to 2 smaller units (10X10 to 2- 8X5)

I called Wednesday and made reservation. I said I would be in Thursday or Friday. Friday the office was closed at 2pm when I arrived. I called the number posted and was told if I wanted to get into the unit I would have to drive to the office on 66th Street. When I arrived a young man that checked me in was belligerent and rude. I had to go to my car for information and he took another customer while I did! 3 minutes I was gone! Rude and he got smart mouthed after I said something! When I went back to the facility I couldn't find the unit because he hadn't given me a map! And the units are not marked on the doors! I called his office. No answer of course! My experience this time was appalling and not pleasant. The service at Park Street facility has suffered since 2015!

My unit #570 should be checked for leaks. Several boxes were damp and one that contained a lamp shade was moldy and the lamp shade in it had to be disposed of. The Park Street, St.Petersburg location is very poorly managed. No on-site personnel or management for majority of the day and evening. Phone calls are mostly directed to the general call center. Restrooms are poorly maintained.

I like to thing that I am pretty tech savvy; but, I am having such a hard time with both online services and phone app. I am unable to update and correct my account information. I would love to spend some time with someone who knows how to use your system to get me in the game. It is the second half of 2018 after all; the software shouldn't be so jacked up. Otherwise, working with the staff and facilities old school style has been wonderful.

Everything was great - my connection for the lights on the cargo trailer were not working. This U Haul location suggested a U Haul location close to my house that could check it. I went, they changed the fuse, and did not charge me!!

The truck I was given had mechanical issues. Many service lights were on. The power steering was grinding and squeezing like crazy. The suspension was shot (I’ve rented many u-hauls before but never with such a harsh, rough ride. Every little bump would shake the truck and cargo like crazy) and I was constantly getting loud dinging warnings about radiator and engine. I was worried at any moment I would break down but luckily I wasn’t going far. Still this wasn’t my biggest issue. When I returned the truck I encountered the nastiest employee I’ve ever encountered at a place of business. When the truck was picked up I was told to return it by 7pm as we scheduled a 10 hour rental. I rushed so I could get back and time and ended up pulling in at 6:50. I got out and started heading to the office and when I got to the gate it started closing right as I was next to it and almost slammed into be. I figured maybe the guy just didn’t see me but when I entered the office I was immediately greeted with hostility. I smiled and asked if there was anywhere in particular I should park the truck and he snapped “yeah your not supposed to be here, your supposed to bring it back at 8:30 tomorrow.” Shocked by his tone I stepped back and simply said ok. He ignored be for a few minutes then snapped again “I’ll be out in a minute, I’m closed.” Not sure why he was so angry I debated just leaving but I was concerned he would add unwarranted charges out of spite. After several minutes he walked outside then right past me without saying a word. I started following him but when we got to the gate he went through and slammed it behind him practically in my face. And this point I just stood there as I figured that meant he didn’t wasn’t me to follow him. A few minutes latter he snapped again something about keys. His tone was so insulting that at this point I had it. I snapped back that he had just slammed the gate in my face and that I was sorry for causing him to do his job. I then asked if he could just charge my credit card so I could just leave and not continue to be insulted. He said he needed to check it in first. The rude behavior continued until he finally handed me a receipt. I understand he wanted to close up but if a business is open until 7 it’s open until 7 and if you don’t want trucks returned this late don’t tell people to be back by 7. Still none of this warranted his nasty tone and aggressive behavior. I would never rent from this location again and probably would avoid U-Haul all together in the future. I have never been treated so badly at a place of business.

This facility is very nice and I've always had good customer service, but smoking is allowed inside the office, and I find it difficult to breathe, particularly when the smoke is heavy. I don't know if they are smoking "at" the exit door, which does nothing to keep the smoke outside, but I can tell you, it is not restricted to the outdoors. It was so bad on a previous visit that I vowed not to go back, but they are so close to my house.

Because of computer problems my checkout was lengthy. The mgr. Finally came and completed the checkout process.. The van had a tire pressure sensor alert on the whole time. Uhaul said they were aware of the problem but it didn't make me feel any more comfortable while driving.

I went the 3800 block of 66 st location first, the lady told me my reservation was til 3:00 pm, I did not recall that but never the less refused to help me. I called the 1 800 number and the St Petersburg manager help me and sent me to Park st location very satisfied.
