Jennifer DI made my reservation a week ahead and when I got there they didn’t have the dolly I ordered. She told me I have to take the truck with no dolly. How the hell am I supposed to get things in a truck without a dolly. It was completely unacceptable and I will never use U-Haul again.

andrew MIf I have to pay for mileage, I should be allowed to pick where I pick up the vehicle. I wanted to pick it up 2 miles from my home, but I was told I had to pick it up at a certain location which forced to to pay for an extra 10 miles. I asked if the vehicle could be moved to my requested pick up location and was also told that was not possible. Please fix this.

Dawana EStaff was rude. After following signs to where we should properly drop off the truck, staff wanted us to move the 20 foot truck to the other side. After not receiving pads or a dolly from the pick up location, staff was rude and called us questioning where their items were ….. accusatory… should check the customer service notes to see we never received them.
Webster SStaff was great, but didn't have any furniture dolly's available, even though I reserved in advance. Could use more equipment or let people know in advance.

The management is on point, and I'm so happy to see that one of their employees was promoted to GM. She continues the history of excellence that I experience when I regularly rent from UHaul. All safety checks are performed, the equipment is well maintained, and they're very helpful during the hookup process. 10/10 stars. A model location.

Kathy HThe trailer was dirty on the outside, if you rubbed against it you came away dirty. One of the tires was under inflated. You didn't notice it until you loaded the trailer. When I checked the tire pressure it only had 14 lbs of air.
Jeffrey JI called to extend my rental at the last minute and we were disconnected when I tried to call back they closed, we arrived right as they were closing the location and knocked on the door, the associates didn’t acknowledge us and today I received a new bill for over $200 instead of the agreed upon $30 extension fee I’m confused …. Even if they closed we have evidence that we put the keys in the drop box within the time limit, (date and time stamps on video/picture and phone conversation date/time stamps ???

Terrell SThe app use for returning my equipment sounds like a good idea in theory, however the app refused to recognize I was at the correct return location, and the option to scan the store's barcode to verify my location would not work as it did not open a camera function. I am very tech savvy but this app gave me a very frustrating experience.

This added 2 hours onto our long moving day. The employee who helped us at the Roanoke was very rude and short with us. When I showed up to the Chesapeake location, they at first told me I did not have a reservation (which I had reserved a month earlier) but were much more helpful afterwards. The online check out was not very descriptive and we had a hard time doing that online check out.

Sadly on one too many occasions, including when i was moving out, the older lady working who smoked right out front of the building, often gave short remarks, and customer service with her was poor. She accused my movers of making a mess, when infact there was a leak in the storage building hallway, that I asked to be cleaned up for safety reasons. And after I showed photo proof of the leak she cleaned it up but was rude about it. All and all for the space provided and the costs it was not worth it and they often had way too many rentals on the lot limiting the access to the storage, if someone was already parked in the space.

They told me they didn’t have that size available and wouldn’t for a while, but they had another size available. I was confused why I could make a reservation for that size starting tomorrow since it wouldn’t have been available anyway, and asked about the issue. They gave me a free month in the other, available storage unit which I really appreciated. To my own fault, I lost my keys to the locker and (incorrectly) assumed a storage locker company would have the capability to get the lock off. My mom asked about it while I was moving in to my new place and was told that it was no problem and they would get it off. When I showed up to open my locker, they said they couldn’t do it anymore (after they said they could) and that I would have to hire a locksmith. $65 and three days later I finally got the lock off. I relied on their word, and it wasn’t followed through. Other than those issues the facility was okay.

They made a call out to this facility and they had a rental unit available on the first floor! They assisted me right away showed me my unit and how to enter and secure my unit, the unit was very clean, had dollies to use and climate control was working very well!

In he 4 months we have had the unit, each time we have gone by, the auto doors were open and we never needed any access codes. On 4/27 1 day after paying our rent early, I took my movers by just to see the unit contents. I could not access. Asked an attendant to help me, I had the key, but no access info. He was very disrespectful, and unhelpful. I dis not want to go into the office ro wait, to be around others dyeing this virus. But I did. Was given mycodes. When I asked another rep about a possible refund for the month because I paid early and now movers can empty it, she suggested asking at the price So tuesday 4/28 the unit was emptied. I waited inside amongst others, with several not wearing masks. And was told I could not get a refund. Irritating, waste of money. The unit was empty and clean. My fault for being responsible and paying the bill early, I guess.
