PICKUP: Store opened 7 minutes late (9:07am), staff was courteous/helpful/professional and processed me/others quickly. Vehicle was clean/gassed BUT NEEDED Engine check: “Check Engine” light on. RETURN: Employee was in lot and met me upon entry. VERY SLOW CHECK-IN & TECHNOLOGY: employee & I repeatedly waited for hand-held to complete each step of checking and finalizing return.

James PriceI rented on a Monday. By the time I returned the truck at 1:40 PM, the check-in area was full of vehicles. No where to park except in a parking space in the back parking lot. No one around outside to check-in the vehicle. I indicated a return of the vehicle by 2:00 PM. I took the key into the front desk where 3 staff members were,-one guy acknowledged my presence and acknowledged my check-in and return of the key. The other 2 were surfing on their cell phones. I get a telephone notice and call to indicate if I didn't return the truck,-they will report it stolen to the police. I rushed down there to point out the photos I took of the check-in and explained the interaction I had. Katy was very nice and apologetic about the incident. Booooooo to U-Haul

First of all, I had to go and find the truck on their lot!! The yes mi had to clean off the snow on the truck before I could even leave!! I tried calling to talk to the manager and NEVER got a call back!!! HORRIBLE!!! TERRIBLE!!! THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!
VERITA KING PHILLIPSAfter arriving at our destination, unloading, and cleaning the trailer, I received a text specifying a different drop-off location than had been originally selected. The trailer was returned to the originally specified location, however, a $15 cleaning fee was added to the bill without mention or explanation. Just add some more to the bill.
Leonard GrossoI booked a truck and rentable plastic moving bins online with no problems initially. A week or so later, I requested to pick up by moving bins on a different day than I originally scheduled, then got a text from U-Haul that my order was moved to a different location, then a different location from that. I called the new location and they had no record of my order and didn't even sell the items I ordered. I was on the phone with four different U-Haul locations for more than an hour to finally be told that the original location didn't have the items I needed and they cancelled the order for the bins, but that my truck order was all good. I pivoted and booked bins from another company, albeit at a much higher cost. Fast forward to picking up the truck, and we had to walk through the huge ice-covered parking lot (no salt) to find the truck ourselves. When we got to our destination, we realized the furniture blankets I ordered were not in the truck, and the app to confirm the status of the rental equipment (ie damage) wouldn't work. I went back to the retail location, and they told me I was supposed to pick up the bags of furniture pads on my way out--from a different door than they told me to exit out of to get the truck, and they did not mention this to me at all when I was there the first time. Then when we returned the truck, they wouldn't communicate with us what was actually going on, and we stood outside in the cold waiting for them to check us in. Overall, it was a lot of added stress on top of an already stressful day.

melody raymondStaff was outstanding in taking care of everything I needed. More staff is needed as there was quite a wait with just one person working the counter at a time while the other went to help customers with the equipment.
Matthew MooneyIssues: 1. The general manager was late to open up the store. This put additional, unwelcome pressure on our tight timeline to meet the movers. 2. Upon arrival, the manager loudly exclaimed something to the effect of "...the f$&* is this s$&*...". 3. The general manager did not apologize (although the front desk lady did on his behalf). 4. The front desk lady who helped me, although very nice, continued a personal phone conversation on speakerphone the entire time while helping me, inputting my information, and checking me out. 5. The rental truck had maintenance issues. It did not idle fast enough to keep the engine running. At a dead stop, it required additional throttle so as not to die. The truck died several times in traffic, including once at an inopportune moment which could have caused an accident.

On the 11th I received a call from an employee asking if I moved out. I said yes and that I told them I was 5 days earlier. She said the manager told her to refund the month, however I hadn't been charged. She said ok and thanked me. The next morning I woke to a charge of $99.95 on my debit card. I called the location and the manager said that he remembered me and agreed that he was refunding the rent. After over 40 minutes on the call, the manager advised that he was refunding the rent but he was having software issues and would call me back in 10 minutes. It's been if over 48 hours and no call back and no refund. I've called the last two days and can't get anyone to answer.

Check out was super easy and quick. I started to use the app but it froze up so went to front desk and the owner was the one that checked me out. Overall an great experience.

And they didn't get upset with me. When I was late period they were very friendly, helpful. Jamar helped me so much. And his manager was so nice period even though she was in a rush. Or you can give me my money back and let me use the storage unit for free this month because I definitely will not be using this storage facility after the lease ends for the storage unit I paid for..
Ben Um | First ImpressionsThey locked me out of my personal possessions almost immediately, because I “didn’t use the proper type of padlock.” This was after I had been assured that I could use my own lock, the exact one I used. They offered to give me a free lock… and never did. Multiple times, my key card would not let me into the building during the posted access hours and I was told to just try again later. I lost my job at one point, requested access to my unit so that I could remove an item that I desperately needed at the time, and they refused to let me in. I have now been stripped of the vast majority of all my possessions. All my son’s baby memorabilia, family heirlooms, my furniture, all of the audio engineering equipment I had purchased over several decades. I pretty much hate this company with every beat of my heart. What a predatory scam. It feels like UHaul gleefully ripped my soul out of my body and is now asking whether I enjoyed it.

They changed managers in the middle of our stay and it didn't lose any of the excellence. It does not get better....I don't know about anyone else, but U-Haul did me and my family right. When I changed cards, apparently the system didn’t take the autopay I came in to set up and I was notified for nearly a year, which is terrible, but Rhonda was awesome and worked with me to get it figured out. So overall a very mixed bag.

I purchased insurance on this unit, but even if I should receive the full insurance payment, it won’t be enough to replace all the stolen appliances. Additionally, of the boxes that remained, several were water-damaged, in spite of the fact that this facility was meant to be temperature and humidity controlled.

I was forced to buy two units because the elevators are super small and my unit was on the 6 floor I could not fit couches and a few other items on the elevator witch made me have to rent a second unit just for the items in the basement so now I’m paying 134 per month for one unit on the 6 floor and 80 for another on the basement just because the elevator was to small

However, the building is a little outdated, and the elevators are very small. The staff here tried their best to find a new solution for us, but ultimately the moving crew that I hired had to carry my 2-piece sectional up 6 flights of stairs, which caused my moving cost to be much more expensive than I had planned (and hard labor for the movers). ** If you have large pieces to store I would suggest a facility with a freight elevator. ** Aside from the elevator size, I would recommend this facility, overall a clean and secure center.
