Kent HHad a truck reserved for 11AM and I arrived at 11AM, but was served at 11:45AM. The place was not busy. Not sure what staff were doing
Onias MI had arranged to deliver a very large painting to a customer at 9a, so I rented a van for pickup at 8a. The pickup was scheduled to be done over the phone. I walked through the steps on my phone but got an error message that the equipment wasn't available. When I called the help number they told me that this location forgot to make the key available. I had to wait until the store opened at 9a. When I came back at 9a, I asked why the van couldn't be picked up at 8a. At first the man at the counter said this location doesn't do that. I said it shouldn't be an option on the website. Then he said they actually do but they just didn't make the key available. I didn't get the van until after 9:30a and made me look unprofessional.
DAVID SThe first vehicle offered was dirty inside and had a broken visor. I asked for a new vehicle which was provided but was concerned I would get double charges. The desk person was not helpful in explaining and I ended up with multiple contracts/receipts. Will not use this location again.

Sarah WI had reserved multiple dollies and didn't find that out as I was checking out for my truck. In the future I would like to know in advance if they are available. Made the moving process part longer than anticipated with my movers who had to adjust their days.
JEFFREY DThe truck was the worse truck on the lot and I made that statement to the stuff that was on duty and they were for certain the truck was ok, all for the truck to breakdown and had to be towed from out in front of my home, not to mention the truck was loaded with my belongings all for me to have to unload it , and UHAUL has the nerves to still CHARGE me!!!!!!!!!!! and now i have to pay a prorated rent because i'm not able to move until the weekend do to work !! This company has HURT me more them helping me, I will NEVER in life use this company again!!!

The said northside location had them if I wanted to pic up there, however I didn't have that time. It would have been nice to know in advance so I could have had the time to travel up there to pick them up.

frank sWe had rented a storage unit her years ago the staff was friendly and attentive. This experience was nothing compared to or 1st one. We rented a truck that was buried behind another truck when we asked someone who was out in the yard about our truck he said I’ll just take the one in front of it. I’m like I already said I found my truck and committed to this truck and number. he was obviously irritated with me and told me it’s not about just seeing your truck. It’s about being able to get to your truck. The gentleman was more interested in talking to what perceived as a friend, then doing his job in the yard. We had to wait almost 30 minutes for someone to move the truck that was blocking ours. Found an interesting that before they move the truck that was blocking ours he had to bang on the side of the back several times, when we finally we got going. It was obvious that this truck had seen its better days but it did the job. When it was time to return the truck again, the employee seem more interested in doing things other than their job. We were told several times by everybody in the yard. The U-Haul app is down just leave the keys in it and drop it in the box. I chose to be persistent and checked my app and it seem to be working fine. If nothing else Iwe’re told several times by everybody in the yard. If nothing else, I was going to take pictures for my personal records. I am glad I did so. I did get a email confirmation that my rental was complete. When driving out of the parking lot, the same gentleman who had helped us remove our truck/return it and just leave the keys in it sitting in the back with someone who obviously was not an employee by the propane tank just “hanging out “. After everything was done and done I got the vibe that the day-to-day operations with this particular location have gone extremely downhill I would not go back again if there were other locations to utilize. I definitely will use a different company. If this is the location that is available in 16 months where I need to move again. The employees are not attentive to the customer or the customers needs. I would go as far as to say from my personal observations that work as secondary to the employees of this location. Their owner is and social presence of their day-to-day work at this location. My daughter referred to the area as “sketch“

Ed Gthe inside of the cab needed some love. No AC and some rubber loose around driver. I think the location could improve from operating under the assumption that this is someone’s first time or at least ask if it is. I had a lot of questions and no idea what the process was, where I was going, how to get out of the lot, where to return etc. I did NOT receive my dolly that I paid for. The person that took the keys from me at the end was nice and actually smiled at me so that made it better. I’m giving an above average because over all… it was easy, just wasn’t a clear and welcoming process for a first timer. Now that I know, I’d happily rent again. Thank you
Tara MWhen I paid off my daughter's bill & went to empty her unit I couldn't get in bcs they didn't lift her pin number restriction. No one was available to assist. Last person I talked to offered a $100 pay out AFTER I couldn't get in which wasn't my fault...I went back AGAIN 2 months later to pay and empty the unit but my daughter's belongings were auctioned off from what I was told was possibly by mistake bcs her bill wasn't on a lien as of yet. I was told someone would call me and resolve the situation but I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL. The automated service sends you in circles when you call...This IS NOT GOOD BUSINESS! 😞

cary pThis was the worst experience I have ever had dealing with Uhaul. The customer service was subpar. I was giving a rental that smelled like marijuana. I went immediately back into the store told the gentleman and he didn’t even seem to care. He told me well there is no other rental I can give you. I had to ask him to come smell it for himself so that they didn’t think I was the one who did it. He then sprayed disinfectant spray which did nothing but make the headache I got from the marijuana smell even worse. I will never go back to this location ever.

MAURICE AIt was very easy for pick up and drop off. Lots of trucks so I had issues locating mine but finally found it. The tires are bold and need replacing. Other than that the truck worked ok.

The facility is sometimes swept, but sometimes there’s junk that’s been dumped on the floors for day. There were several times I visited with people’s possessions dumped out outside beside the loading dock. The bathroom was out of toilet paper the time I tried to go. There was rarely a time when I could access the initial box to enter the code because there were trucks and trailers in front of it. The loading ramp is hard to access because it’s a tight squeeze with trailers and trucks parked in front of the entrance. The facility staff were nice and helped when my code didn’t work or I had trouble accessing the box. It was easy to sign up and I’m glad I could get in by the next day or within hours of paying. I’d love if they could prorate a month, since I moved out in the middle of a 30-day billing cycle, but that’s minor to the code boxes being consistently difficult to access.

Any time i had an issue, rather it be payment and or just getting access to the facility. They were always there. With a smiling face and welcome energy, as if they were happy to help. Good people are hard to come by these days, however you've managed to keep good ones around. For the past few years while i have been renting from you. I really appreciate that. When I signed up for automatic payment arrangement they would charge my bank card twice every month, I would have to call for the inconvenience. I was promised a discount for signing for automatic payments and never received it. After I moved my stuff out of storage I found that I am missing a lot of my stuff, I am missing pictures for my decorations, lamps, and a few boxes of clothes. I do not know where they are or why they would be missing

If you send in secret shoppers to the other locations [pendelton pike] with adults well beyond their 30s and the young adults at the[ keystone ave] they will put them to shame. With staff like them keystone is my set location. Moving is stressful enough. Those types of people keep your customers coming back. This was for my mom. I was done with Uhaul after my last experience. My reservation was switched to a terrible far places that costs me more than I ever paid when using yaw. Those young adults renewed my faith in yaw.

Only grip is there's no elevator, so plan to walk with items up to 3 flights of stairs & or the incline walkway to side entrance.

The units doors don't even go to the ground, so our goal or storing a piano was quickly met with failure. We didn't even bother breaking that tag of the storage unit we just left and requested our contract be canceled. I've never seen such a sad excuses for a storage unit, especially considering it cost the same amount a proper storage unit would cost.
Nicholas O | Online Move InI was told by the phone reservationist the facility had a freight elevator to move my furniture to the 3rd floor, so I accepted a third floor unit. When I got to the facility, I learned there was no elevator in the facility. When checking in, the service agent didn’t appear how to input data into the computer. He kept making mistakes and had to redo most items. When I asked if this basic info was in the system because I provided it when I made the reservation. He responded, “ Don’t get me started about the call center.” My movers were waiting to unload their truck and were getting quite impatient. They estimated my fee based on time and had not allowed for a 30 minute check in at the storage unit. These things need to be addressed by management and corrected if I am to recommend U Haul.
MERLE W | First Impressionshumidity control (musty,, mildew) is understandably sub-optimal on units with outside walls; single dehumidifier for large square foot facility - more of a facility design issue (U-Haul corporate vs. local management); less of a problem for units central to building Bill Meguschar. and staff do a fine job - good service, friendly, helpful, work to resolve any issues and in general a pleasure to do business with; would recommend to others and use in the future cost increases were regular and not as price competitive as some, but I utilized the facility for longer than expected (ended up with 2 units @$150, $300/mo total for over a year) so this was inevitable many thanks, Bill Ellison

The unit I was shown to had thin plywood walls with water stain about three inches up. Additionally there was standing water outside of the storage unit by the entrance. I was not about to leave my furniture there! The helpful staff found me another U Haul storage facility not too far away that was newer and had cleaner storage. That worked out for us. You need to redo your storage facility or charge way less, I would not have even stored my things for free there though!
