We couldn't pick up our U-Haul until 3 hours after our reservation time because they messed it up. We were supposed to get 2 dollies and there was only 1 on the truck. We were supposed to get a refund for the truck because of the reservation error, and instead we received a certificate to put toward a future rental. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

I would not recommend this location to a friend. Not because of any of the thing you ask about in the review, but because of other because of other customer service skills and decision making. My situation was this: I rented my truck at 7:30 which was 2 .2 miles from the loading location. On the way back to my delivery location (8.2 miles including stop) stop by to purchase a lock, All is fine. I put uhaul lock on my truck and go take a nap before I unload. Go to unload and uhaul lock will not open, using the keys that came with the lock. Do not ask me why but the lock would not open. Then the key breaks in the lock. Get all of the broken key out of the lock an head back to uhaul. The location rep first tries with key does not work, they do have a bolt cutter and they try to snap lock, did not work, rep recommends that I go to lock smith up the street Lock smith does not have correct equipment in the office, they recommend I go up the street to small hardware store, they do not have equipment, go back to uhaul tell them know I could not get it off. Guy goes back outside with cutters and somehow get them off, all is fine at this point. Go back to location to unload. After unload went t to return the truck @ 7:30pm that same day and ask for refund (with receipt) on bad lock and discount on mileage I was denied and told to come back in the morning to speak to the Manager. I have not step back into that location. I would not have had the extra miles on the truck, if uhaul did not sell me a bad lock and I had to return to the store about it or drive around to other stores. The rep who sold me the lock, was also the rep who tried and got the lock off and would not give me a refund on the lock. My recommendation, buy your equipment like lock and other thing from a hardware store if you can, uhaul does not back up it products when they are faulty,

Just make sure the after hours customer service needs retraining and other locations like Bramble Towing needs some retraining they need to treat customers more respectful they were very disrespectful and dishonest to me the Gilbert Avenue location they were awesome beautiful I could never ask for anything better I recommend everyone go to the Gilbert location friend's cousin's family I will recommend

First of all this location needs better equipment. I made a reservation and called to add a day only to find out that he heard me but neglected to put it into the computer. I moved from Cincinnati Ohio to Middletown Ohio in a 15ft truck and was charged over $200.00. When I brought the truck back I had 2 charges on my account, I thought that was it,but couple days later the price changed and it was much higher. I personally think that once a customer brings your equipment back you should get your charges straight before going into a customer's account and then changing that amount.

I dropped auto transport off at 5:30 PM in pouring rain and attendant had me to take down to another lot. I asked if I needed to come back to office and he said no that he would e-mail receipt. The next AM I got a charge of $21.40 for after hours dropoff. I spoke to a lady there and she said would take care of it. It stayed on credit card as pending for 3 days then was charged. I called U-HAUL and they refunded charge.

When I returned the equipment the guy sitting at the front said it would take 15 to receive a email . Which I know once it's checked in email is sent . I waited 15 min and he was still sitting. Messing with his hair . Went back in asked someone to return the truck . Some guy Mr Simmons , checked in the truck and charged me a cleaning fee for cigarettes that was not in the ash tray , I know because I emptied it before pulling up. Then he also said he was charging me for a strip of mud in the front . Which it had been raining... Later that day I get a call claiming there were damages... The guy raised his voice at me when I told him , why his he charging a cleaning fee , when he would have to do a level 1 and clean it all over again .. I'm not pleased with the unprofessional communication. I use to work for uhaul so I know what's right and what's wrong .. Im a repeat customer I rent several uhauls a week . And when I'm treated in such Manor , it's sad .

Allow prepaid Visa and Mastercard's to be used when making a purchase of rental items, if the money is on the card that means that there is money there.

I was charged $25 for cleaning when we had wiped out the back before dropping our truck off

Many problems: 1. Only one person on the lot to handle car returns and new customers with trailers. 2. The trailer originally assigned to me had a faulty turn signal. I was forced to take a larger trailer, more than I needed. 3. The default electrical connector was obsolete and would not fit my 2018 truck. I was forced to buy an adapter on the spot. U-haul should have adapters available for people with newer trailer equipment or provide their own universal connector. I will not use U-haul again.

You can improve this by contracting with people who actually try to help customers solve an issue. I was charged for damage that was already done to the truck, in which I have evidence of. I, along with the vendor at the southern Ohio antique mall, tried to help explain the situation to these individuals. I got rejected and he got hung up on. Pure trash! I have already contacted my credit card company and have begun the dispute process. I also am aware they get commission for charges assessed for damages. I didn’t need insurance because I did absolutely zero damage to the truck. I actually needed insurance for protection from unscrupulous uhaul dealers.

I picked up the unit and inspected it. There was a large gash on the passenger side bottom. But I did t notice a ten foot scrape that went horizontal over the letters “right equipment”. Please pull all the video from this location in order to see who actually damaged truck. Rk Levy

Roland was extremely helpful. There was no parking at the apartment I was moving into so his willingness to allow me to park the truck overnight at his location was great. He even helped me find the most appropriate place to park so that I wouldn't block other rentals. He was very helpful and I am very grateful

The mail person on staff at the time we picked up the truck was not accommodating was rude and the way that you have to sign in now to get a truck is unacceptable I probably will not use Uhaul again especially at that location unless it’s an emergency you should not have to go onlineTo check in you should have someone go out and check your truck all this new stuff especially for elderly people that get trucks from you it is just not acceptable and I was not pleased

I had to to switch trucks because I was told my debit card wouldn't work for the van. Once he manually put my card information in for the truck I was charged $118.xx instead of the $43.xx it rung up to. The sun visor on the driver side was broke and I was not made aware of the $20 charge for returning the truck after hours.

I had a month of free storage and they kept telling me I couldn't put my stuff in my unit unless I left the unit open they then scrapped my belongings and auctioned off the rest and tried to charge me
